Kylie Jenner’s new blush line includes names like ‘Barely Legal’ & ‘Virginity’

I check Kylie Jenner’s Instagram every few months, as many of you know. I like to see if she’s recognizable, as in… did she get an entirely new face since I last paid attention to her? The answer is usually “Kind of, yeah.” I’m actually worried that Kylie is starting to veer into Human Barbie territory now. Shockingly, Kylie’s Real Doll looks aren’t the point of this story. The point is that Kylie is a Makeup Mogul. Her “lip kits” (overpriced lipstick) are selling well and Kylie has branched out into blush. Check out the names she’s given to her blush colors:

Blushes 😍 launching this Friday at 3pm pst!

People are mad. They’re mad about Barely Legal, specifically, especially when it’s couched between “X Rated” and “Virginity.” The complaints are what you would expect – that Kylie’s target audience is made up of mostly teenage girls and she’s directly marketing to that demographic too. The fact that she’s marketing a blush called “Barely Legal” to actually underage girls? Well, that actually seems on-brand for Kylie. Kylie’s whole deal is sketchy, especially given how her mom signed off on Kylie’s too-much-too-soon EVERYTHING. Kylie was getting major plastic surgery before the age of 18. Kylie was in a sexual and romantic relationship with an older man (Tyga) before the age of 18. Kylie’s whole “thing” is build upon the fact that she’s “jailbait.”

Besides all of that, she obviously wanted the blush names to be seen as scandalous. This is free media for her. Sigh…

shhh, if we pretend the KarJenners don’t exist, maybe they’ll go away!

  2. Msw says:

Isn’t the jezebel/madonna thing a LITTLE played out and 20th Century? Uninspired, unoriginal.

    • Megan says:

Seriously, I have been using NARS blush in a shade called Orgasm for years.

      • INeedANap says:

Orgasm, at least, isn’t evidence of age-inappropriate terminology. And that is a great color.

      • lolo86lf says:

So what are those shades’ names supposed to mean for the teenagers that will buy Kylie’s make up? They sound disgusting.

      • Perpetua says:

Myself and almost all my adult friends use Orgasm too, but Nars doesnt market it to teenagers, its definitely a more sophisticated line geared toward adult women. If my 16 year old daughter wanted to buy it, I would flip, but she doesnt bc she doesnt know what Nars is. She knows what Kylie lip kits are though, pretty sure she sees daily ads on Instagram for them.

      • HappyMom says:

Do you have the stick or the powder? I’ve always used the powder and love it but was wondering about the stick . . .

      • Ariana says:

I mean orgasms are something teenagers can have, you know, it’s healthy not sketchy. But X-Rated and Barely Legal perpetuates the sexualisation of teenagers, it sounds like porn titles

      • msw says:

At least the orgasm thing makes sense, as in, your cheeks are flushed after an orgasm. Your cheeks aren’t flushed from being “barely legal.”

    • jerkface says:

I bought her lip plumping lip gloss in the shade called My Pimp Momma Doesn’t Love Me and Keeps Pressuring Me to Make a Sex Tape and I must say I got a lot of compliments from people when I wore it to my cousins Bat Mitzvah.

  3. minx says:

How sweet (eyeroll). I do think that finally, finally this horrible family might be fading away.

    • me says:

I think they are starting to fade. Usually they brag about their ratings when a new season of their show starts. So far, they haven’t said a word about ratings which leads me to believe the ratings are really down. Even Kim having twins wouldn’t help them now lol.

      • swak says:

In a recent article (think on DM), Khourtney is blaming Kim for the low ratings!

      • AreYouForReal? says:

She’s starting up again with the “I want to have more kids, but the doctors tell me not to do it”. That always signals a new season.

  4. michelle says:

Classy as always! Our society is completely screwed knowing young girls see this girl & her family as someone to idolise?

  5. Nikki says:

And will it also be marketed to 11 year olds? So gross!!

    • Erinn says:

It’s a mess. But I’m not going to pretend that she’s the first one to pick such gross names for things.

Kat Von D had “underaged red”, and “Lolita” is one of her best sellers.

      Mac had “pervertte”,

      Nars had “deep throat”.

      • Valois says:

Yeah, she’s not the first one to do it, but Nars targets women who are in their late 20s or older, KVD probably 18-30, Mac’s main target group starts at 18-20 or so. I think the big difference is that the people buying Kylie Cosmetics are a lot younger than that.

Aside from that, Underage Red and Pervette are super cringey as well. The only company that gets away with it is Nars imo since they’re more mature and don’t really cater towards the insta crowd.

  6. Shambles says:

Yes, lest we forget, she must remind us that she is YOUNG and SEXY and ESCANDALOUS.

Except she looks twice her age, there’s no way she can do anything sexual with a trout pout that no longer moves, and no one cares.

  7. Lucy says:

I think she has severe issues caused by the fact that her mom sold her off, I mean okayed a “relationship” to an older man when she was barely 15. She was probably a virgin at the time and it really messed her up, it’s also why she can’t leave that gross Giraffe looking mooch! She’s got a form of Stockholm syndrome IMO

  8. detritus says:

Do you think she knows how unhealthy other people think her relationship is. I guess she must.
So then, are we giving her some sort of Romeo and Juliet complex for Tyga by hating on it?

Final thought, at what point do you start disliking the person, and not the system that created them?

    • Bess says:

I look at Kylie as a victim. Kris & Bruce/Jenner are the bad guys in this scenario. If they had raised Kylie with proper amounts of love and attention, she would be able to see right through a loser predator like Tyga.

    • detritus says:

I feel the same, but wonder when I will stop. She’s now almost 20( i don’t remember), and at a certain point they become adults, and are supposed to know better.

Kim grew up with similar influences, but we don’t allow her the ‘victim’ label, which is likely because of the age difference?

  9. Dttimes2 says:

Are we still supposed to pretend those boobs are from period bloat????

  10. Jillian says:

She was underage when she started dating Tyga, this makes me feel icky.
Jenner girls had to grow up so quickly and Kylie’s plastic surgery is so sad.
I wonder if she went to her mom, kris to ask if she liked the names

  11. ichsi says:

    Classy. So classy.

  12. Mousyb says:

I might be overanalyzing but she has been looking sadder and sadder lately in her eyes 🙁

  13. Beth says:

She looks faker every day. One day she’ll regret having all this done. Those blush colors are as bad as their tacky ,silly names

    • Anilehcim says:

I wonder if she’ll ever regret any of it. Her mother barely looks like a human being at this point and Kim and Khloe have both destroyed their faces. I guess it’s just a natural progression when you grow up in that house of horrors… you live in the mirror and obsess over every tiny flaw. What’s scariest to me about Kylie is how much she has morphed herself into other women Tyga has been with… she has directly copied Chyna various times, even going as far as to wear a textured wig, and after Tyga was running around with that curvy Colombian model, Demi Rose, Kylie ran out and bought herself a bigger butt and boobs.

I can’t imagine living my life for Instagram likes. This child’s reality is literally something out of the show “Black Mirror”

    • me says:

I don’t think she’ll regret anything. A young person with her lack of education would be working at a fast food joint. She’s making millions by selling off her personal life and half naked selfies. She’s probably hoping she can do this forever. Remember the family she comes from?

  14. slowsnow says:

She’s thought of all ages from a douchebro perspective:

‘Virgin” is from girls from 0 – 13.
    ‘Barely Legal’ 13-17
    ‘X-Rated’ 17-25
‘Hopeless Romantic’ 25-30 (when you think you’re still hot and want to settle down but men don’t look at you anymore)
‘Hot and Bothered” is clearly for menopausal women!

Poor rich, sad barbie girl. I wish she had the strength to be like the Ab Fab smart daughter.

  15. HookedonCoffee says:

As a survivor of the Britany era: no, just no.

No one wants to go back to the hyper sexualizayion of teenage girls. I thought the past decade or so has mellowed out on the whole pressure to bare midriffs and wear bandaid like jeans. Let’s keep it that way.

  16. Anilehcim says:

She looks like a muppet now. This family is becoming increasingly unpopular and I love it.

The fact that her family doesn’t give a shit and Tyga is so damn predatory is all disturbing and always will be. She is so obviously immature, even for her age which says a lot, and still thinks that being sexy means exuding sex 24/7, which is a rookie mistake that many young girls make. She needs a therapist in the worst way. There were pics of her wearing what looked like lingerie as an outfit and I was struck by how much she looked like one of those “lifelike” sex dolls.

  17. Moon says:

I feel really sorry for her…having been a insecure teenage girl, I’m glad I wasn’t put in her position. Yes I get she’s massively privileged and making undeserved money, but I feel sorry she has to grow up this way and be exploited by her mother…no one needs this much plastic surgery at her age. She obviously has body dysmorphia.

  18. Maria says:

If there has been one silver lining about the political situation and its popular posts on this site, is that we have hardly had any Kardishian ones. And it seems that nobody has missed them. Yeah!

    • HappyMom says:

Yes- I feel like we can only discuss one reality family at a time-and the Trumps have usurped the Kardashian-Jenner clan.

  19. jequill says:

Wow is it me or does she looks like she lost an among of hair on the top of her forehead ?

  20. Dizzie says:

What is it like for that family to gather round a table and look across from each other- do they ever say to themselves, damn, I miss the way “K” used to look, or be, or our selves or life before all of this. Everything is always on brand, props to Mama Kris, but can it ever be real again amongst them? I know, the money, but I wonder, do they ever reflect back on their life choices or does it just keep rolling on?

  21. What says:

Am I the only one who thinks she still sort of stunning? Fake looking but still she is beautiful.

  22. ann says:

Wow, it looks like she’s been in a car accident and needs some ice to get the swelling down.

  23. Umila says:

Okay, so I originally didn’t think her lips looked *that* bad. In fact, I thought Kylie had work done to feel beautiful and boost her self-esteem. I take no issue with that…but this just looks painful. I thought she looked really pretty around the time when her hair was shoulder length with the aqua tips. Obviously I haven’t kept up with the transformation.

As for her makeup, I honestly don’t give a crap about what stupid name she puts on her blush. It’s up for the parent to decide if they want to buy something for their kids labeled ‘virginity’ or whatever. I’m not even going to touch that. You could always remove the label if it seems tacky or not buy the product. I’m still hoping there’s going to be a Gilmore Girl’s lipstick in ‘Vicious Trollop’.

  24. V.B. says:

It’s just a name, dear god.

    • G says:

I mean, in the context of *her* the names are kind of gross, yeah. But if it were any other makeup line I don’t think anyone would care. Plenty of ‘scandalous’ shade names out there.

  25. EX says:

    lol something funny/ sad…

I just showed Kylie’s picture (the one above) to a random male colleague who knows absolutely nothing about the kadarshians and asked “How old do you think she is?” He says 34. I showed him another picture and told him to guess again, he says she’s definitely over 30. I told him she’s actually 19 that she’s a plastic surgery fan. He just said “that’s sad then” and walked away.

I really really don’t understand the people who find this kid attractive
