It’s that time of year… the time when a new Fast & Furious movie is coming out and we’re about to be gifted with another promotional tour. How many times have we done this? This is the eighth movie, right? Right. The eighth movie is called… The Fate of the Furious. But don’t be fooled into thinking that this will absolutely answer all of your Fast & Furious questions. It will not, because I’m pretty sure Furious 9 and Furious 10 will be shot soon enough. Still, The Fate of the Furious is special, because they brought some very special ladies into the franchise. Dame Helen Mirren took a small part, because she’s a huge fan of the franchise. And Charlize Theron is playing “the villain” this time, I think.
So these are photos of Charlize and Vin Diesel at the Berlin premiere of Fate/Furious. Charlize is the reason why I’m looking forward to this promotional tour. Usually, the photos are mostly useless because there isn’t any interesting fashion. But Charlize will deliver… good or bad, she’ll deliver. And I kind of think this Dior look is bad? She’s the face of J’Adore (the fragrance) and she usually gets some interesting Dior looks. This is one awkward dress though. The problem is absolutely the cut and the fit in the bust. Yikes.

I think she is still uncomfortable with whatever slight weight gain she had last year thus she is off her regular steeze, that said she looks good which is better than I can say for that movie.. makes me question if they all needed quick payments on a house or what

She looks like me when I gain weight and then force myself into an outfit I clearly don’t feel comfortable in because of said weight gain. She usually has PERFECT posture and she’s slouching here.

And whoever dressed her has no clue what they’re doing. Who puts a 6 foot tall Amazon in that sad little strapless dress? It’s so limp and just seems to accentuate whatever weight she’s put on (which, for the record, I can’t tell except for her uncomfortable posture).
Unflattering. And she knows it, it’s all over her face and in her slouched shoulders. Poorly tailored, awkward length, and bad shoes.

Yes, it’s a dreadful fit and style on her. Also, she’s beginning to look like Britney Spears to me for some reason. Gah, she used to be my style icon. Where’d she go?
Agreed, too thick in the waist, and the color isn’t doing anything for her, so a big NO to the dress, and also the shoes. She must be wearing extensions bc her hair was very short not all that long ago. I’m not going with the hair either, or maybe it’s the color along with the dress that doesn’t work. She’s looked amazing before, but not here.
I cannot tell if this is a daytime premiere or an evening one. If an evening event, she needs more jewelry and a flashier shoe. This is something that you wear to a fancy afternoon event.
The dress looks kind of stiff for lack of a better word, and she looks washed out in it. If the fabric was a softer materials it would hug her body a little better. She looks beautiful and healthy though.
I think Charlize looks so much better with the long hair.
As for the franchise they will continue to make those movies as long as they make bank. I don’t blame the actors for continuing to sign on for more. It’s becoming harder and harder for some actors to get jobs in agiest, sexist, not much diversity Hollywood. At least they are working. And yes I will see this movie but with a heavy heart due to the absence of Paul Walker.
Charlize only took this role because she is in desperate need of a box office hit.
Atomic Blonde also looks like it is going to be a flop.
I have always supported women orientated movies but I draw the line with Charlize. She had adopted two African American children and is yet best buddies with a known racist.
I cannot and will not support people who have no issues with racism.

I have been reading other blogs especially urban blogs, she is being ripped to shreds,they are even calling for her son to be snatched away from her, this is based on how she dresses him, I don’t know the story because she is a private celebrity,it just seems its being imposed.
I actually like the simplicity of it..a relief from all the lingerie lace panels and chintzy looking appliqués seen lately

Yep – you can’t see through it so it’s a plus in my book! The bust could be a lot more flattering, but when you are as beautiful as she is – doesn’t matter.

It’s that dress + her stance. As a former model she should know better than to do a ‘double tea-pot’ straight on to the camera while wearing a white, strapless, symmetrical dress. That is never going to give anyone their best angle – even Posh Spice knows this. Imagine this as a white suit with a deep v (no shirt) and a single arm on hip, body at an angle, hip cocked, confidence turned up to 11 – it would change everything.

I love a tea-length dress. IMO, if this dress actually fit her (and didn’t look like it’s ready to slide off her body) it would look fantastic.

Yes, I’m afraid she’s tweaked. Compare the closeup in harsh lighting (the trailer video still) where you can see the natural circles under her eyes and a bit of hollowness in the cheek.
She’s 6 feet tall and slim. Nothing looks unflattering on her.
Agree 100%. I think she can wear anything and still look gorgeous. Her tweaking is impressive as it is imperceptible.

I haven’t been able to watch a F&F movie since Paul died. The trailer for this new one where they’re like on a submarine in the Arctic or something just looks really stupid like they are grasping at any straw to make more money off the name. I also really dislike this has become looked at as The Rock’s franchise more than Vin’s.
