Brace yourselves, because we have a new contender for Split of the Century!! Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka are O-V-E-R. I cannot believe it! Noooo, I will never believe it!! You mean that Mariah couldn’t make it work with a backup dancer she basically hired to be her boyfriend in the wake of her split from James Packer?? TMZ claims that not only were Mariah and Bryan Tanaka totally for-realsies (!!), they just couldn’t make it work because… he got so “jealous” of how men always noticed Mariah’s insane butterfly beauty. And because she didn’t like paying for him.
Mariah Carey is done with Bryan Tanaka and vice versa, and we’re told it’s over 2 things … his insane jealousy and her shutting the cash register drawer on his fingers. Our sources say Bryan had unbridled fury over Mariah’s relationship with ex-hubby Nick Cannon. She’s been chummy with him for sure, mostly for the benefit of their twins. They vacation as a family and go to dinner and parties together, sometimes without the kids. We’re told it drove Bryan insane.
We’re told Bryan would lash back at her by flirting and even coming onto women in plain view of Mariah. The last straw came at the Kids’ Choice Awards last month, when Nick and Mariah took the twins. We’re told Bryan felt the display “disrespected” him and during the event he demanded she come home.
As for the cash register part, we’re told Mariah got sick of footing the bills for her BF … for things like Gucci and Balmain and super expensive shoes. Bryan also loves jewelry, and we’re told he was always in the market for expensive watches and chains … and guess who footed the bills? She also felt Bryan slid in after she broke up with James Packer, and his endgame was fame. They haven’t seen or spoken to each other since they went to Cabo together at the end of March. They were together for a little over 5 months. And we though this one was gonna last.
My take on this situation is pretty simple: Mariah and James Packer imploded in spectacular fashion last year, with Packer’s side saying that she was wacky, tacky and that he had finally come to his senses. Mariah’s side said that Packer was insanely jealous (huh) of her relationship with this backup dancer. This all went down when Mariah was filming her E! reality show and suddenly Mariah needed a new “storyline” to replace the “wedding planning” storyline. So she hired Brian to be her on-camera boyfriend, basically and that’s what the show was about. And now that they’re breaking up, it’s funny that she’s using the same “he’s insanely jealous” line again. In Mariah’s World, the men in her life are always so jealous of each other because she’s the most elusive chanteuse ever.

Mariah unlike Jlo doesnt actually want love/relationship/sex/knight in shinning armor. Seriously, look at her past. Even the father of her kids, Nick Cannon does t describe a whirlwind romance, just that they clicked well and she wouldnt have sex outside of marriage so he proposed and she accepted because she wanted try for kids in a marriage. She would have married anybody basically. Tanaka was obviously just an image thing. The billionaire was just an ego thing. And Tony Motolla was just a career thing. The end.
Some of you suggest that she is just in love with herself. I have heard boards suggest that she had some sex based traumas in her life. I personally believe that Mariah is just on the asexual spectrum both in terms of romantic needs and sexual needs. Theres nothing wrong with that.

Oh, Luis Miguel. There were stories that his demeanor was a contributing factor into Mariah’s on air breakdown. Like, he knew she was head over heels and he was toying with her.
I don’t see her as asexual, but maybe just a lot more into being pampered and ‘taken care of’ and having a relationship to show off than anything else. Then again, I don’t see Taylor Swift as really asexual either, just unsexy, calculating, annoying, and immature.
As for trauma…. it’s one thing if she’s come out and said it herself, but just it being a rumor/internet speculation is another. A while back on Jezebel there was a pretty thought-provoking article about how with female fictional characters, if the character needs to be evil or have some other kind of drama in her life, people are too quick to make some type of sexual abuse be the catalyst for it. But that seems to be done with women in real life too if the woman is messy or has certain character flaws (or things that aren’t flaws but just aren’t liked. )
Mariah’s reality show was supposed to be about her preparing for her wedding to Packer. She had to scramble to find a new storyline for the entire series especially when they couldn’t use the little bit of footage they had of Packer- hence Tanaka. But sure, true love has officially died.
At least Mariah does dating the right way. She refuses to have sex with these turds, so when it’s over after a few months, she isn’t too emotionally affected by it and moves on right away. Good for her.

He was just a rebound relationship to show she wasn’t upset about the split with her fiance . It must have been tough seeing everyone checking her out and flirting with her, but what did he expect? Jealousy is natural. She’s a millionaire, but definitely shouldn’t have to buy him everything he wanted. It’s great that she gets along with the kids dad because that doesn’t happen for some people. Her relationship with Bryan wasn’t meant to be
I think he was definitely a rebound relationship, too. What woman doesn’t want to be adored, and he had a real thing for her. Not meant to last though. Age difference for one, and tons of other reasons this was just silly, but they played it out, and now it’s completely played out. Now I love Mariah, I really do, but I don’t love her in every way. I think she and James Packer were completely off for each other, like no way. But….they wanted to try each other out, and they did. It was not meant to be! I’d really like to see her with someone though, someone steady and long term, but who knows, maybe she’s difficult to be with, not to mention the touring lifestyle can be hard on the best of couples.
No wonder these people are so addicted to pills, alcohol and plastic surgery. Their world seems to be unbearable.
