Here are some photos of Gigi Hadid, out and about in New York yesterday. She has an apartment in New York and she uses New York as her homebase most of the time. Which means we often get “street style” glamour shots of Gigi strutting around the city, like the sidewalks are her personal catwalks. For the most part, Gigi’s street style consists of workout gear, maybe some jeans and cute blouses. But on Wednesday, Gigi went higher-end.
This ensemble is by Sally LaPointe and it’s entirely cashmere. It retails for $4100!!! Good God. What strikes me is that this is really the kind of outfit which only looks good on someone who looks like Gigi, or someone built like Gigi. Put this on a short girl and it would look awful. Put this on a girl heavier than a size 4 and it would look awful. While I love cashmere, I don’t get embellished cashmere? I especially don’t get the embellished cuffs on the pants. It seems like the embellishments are especially heavy, and you know that’s going to f-ck up the cashmere, likely stretching it out. Not that this ensemble will be in her closet for more than a month. I suspect she’ll probably only wear it this one time.

Oh please, she doesn’t need a burger. Nobody needs a burger. Next time I hear anyone saying a skinny/thin girl needs a burger, I swear I’ll draw a kitten. I just had a big mac and I’m not feeling that good right now.
What she may need though is perhaps some good quality meat cooked in butter, served with runner beans, topped with a little bit more butter. A bit of sea salt, ground pepper and mustard on the side.
She’s super pretty but looks miserable.
She looks like she poses for the runway…in every situation she’s in. She doesn’t look happy at all.
Her mother is so annoying…like her two girls are the only ever models on the planet. They happened to come along when there were NO OTHER girls stealing the show. NO DOUBT Daddy’s connections and Mommy’s notariety on HWOBH gained them momentum in the modeling world. Bella just jumped on board after sister was already riding the gravy train.
I’ll be glad when someone new comes along and we stop seeing them and their sullen expressions in every ad on TV and magazines.

I think she and her sister have lost all that weight to look more high fashion.

I’m a size 4 and I would look like a jiggly whale in that. She’s killing it though! And the price is pretty reflective of cashmere prices to be honest.

Ok, but regardless of the outfit’s fuginess or lack-thereof, depends on how you see it, what’s with the whole “if your body looks like this and this, you can’t wear that” thing? Información thought we were way pass that by now?
That is ridiculous I could buy a perfectly serviceable car for that and keep it on the road for the next ten years. It wouldn’t be so bad if it was a classic wardrobe item that will never go out of fashion, but it is just a tarted up sweatsuit with holes in it.
I wear clothes for comfort and, you know, warmth. Have you ever worn a cold shoulder top? I get cold in those! This outfit makes me cold just looking at it. Exposed midriff and giant slits along the pants? Might as well be wearing crop top and shorts!
I kinda like the top and the pants too. But I feel it’s too much worn together. And also, it confuses me why you would wear long sleeves with cutouts. Same with the pants. I would wear the top with skinny jeans in boots.
With you on the jeans and boots, if the top was non-cropped that is. Or I’d have to put a longer top on underneath.
The pants looked totally comfy, until I saw the side cut-outs and I wtf-d.
She’s such a lovely young woman but often, when she’s out in public in the paid to be worn clothing, she looks like a very,very high priced call girl. I hope she never winds up with the older Russian, Saudi, fill in the blank, boyfriend, when her career starts to slow down.

Is it just me or does it seem like there is a competition to see who can be skinnier between Gigi, Bella, Kendall, Haley and Cara….They all look really thin these days.
I kind of love it, and I can see that it’s ridiculous even though I kind of love it, and yeah, it would look terrible on anyone who didn’t have a spectacular model-body like her.
