I have never associated Angelina Jolie with high fashion. I’ve never considered her a style icon. There were times when I really liked something she wore on a red carpet, and there were times when I felt like she was paying close attention to presenting herself a certain way for a promotional tour. But she usually f–ks it up pretty quickly. People forget that before Jolie threw out her leg (THE LEG OF DOOM) at the Oscars, she was actually on style-high of several good looks in a row. Something similar happened back in the day, when Angelina won her Oscar for Girl, Interrupted – she came to the Oscars wearing an Elvira get-up and everyone forgot that she actually had been looking pretty great at other awards shows.
So, Angelina has never been a style icon. Nor has she ever been a Nicole Kidman-esque red carpet queen who really focuses on fashion to sell her movies. What are the chances that she’s going to suddenly turn into that kind of celebrity now, post-Brad Pitt? According to Star Magazine, Angelina is looking to revamp her style in a big way. And she’s turning to Tom Ford.
Angelina Jolie is ready to get her groove back and is enlisting fashion guru Tom Ford to help!
“With all the drama around her and Brad, Angelina feels like a huge outsider right now, and she knows Tom is the industry It Guy,” tattles a fashion insider. Tom was the madtermind behind Gucci and Saint Laurent before launching his own line, and has gone on to direct two Oscar-nominated flicks, A Single Man and Nocturnal ANimals. Now he’s ready to make the newly single actress his latest project.
“Angelina is the most beautiful woman in the world, and it kills Tom to see her in these depressing all-black ensembles and dowdy red carpet gowns,” says the source. “He wants to do a couture line with her and get her back to icon status.”

Obviously, this is bulls–t. And yet… it’s sort of a harmless “what if.” Like, if we’re just dreaming up ways for Angelina to shake things up, this is a really great suggestion. She SHOULD set up a collaboration with some major designer. She should actively look to be someone’s muse and inspiration for a new collection. And I would love to see what Angelina Jolie + Tom Ford would bring. I imagine it would actually involve a lot of black and leather, and yet Ford would find some way to make it classy. And it would absolutely not involve sweatpants or dinosaur shoes. But it might involve a sack dress or two.

I think she likes to look good–who doesn’t–but I don’t believe she’s thinking about some collaboration with Ford to boost her image.
Angelina is not worried about her fashion image, her children and humantarian causes are her concern.
With Tom Ford as her “stylist”, Angelina could stop floundering and play a fashion A game. She should trust Ford completely; an iconic impact could be achieved without much effort on her part. All of which would leave her free to focus on her real interests.
I don’t think she needs help with her image. I truly think she doesn’t give a rat’s ass what people think and good for her. But it would be very interesting to see what these two could come up with together. Completely reinvent her. Now that would be very interesting.

She has a beautiful face at times but is a far cry from the “most Beautiful” woman in the world. Such a ridiculous statement. There are many beautiful women in the world.
And today she’s not even the most beautiful actress in the business but she is beautiful.

She’s a beauty icon, along with being iconic for many other frankly more important things. There’s really no dispute about that. Once you’re an icon, that doesn’t really go away. It’s consensus for all time.
Don’t get why some women feel the need to dispute one line (which gets infinitely retread about her i.e. ‘most beautiful’ ) expressed as an opinion from an unnamed source in an untrue tabloid story.
It’s not like this is your first time hearing it or seeing it or reading it. It gets said about her, always has been said always will be – and it’s kind of late in the day to try and poo-poo it now.
Who would the most beautiful actress be? Cause I don’t see no one else plus no other actress can open a movie. Do tell. Not even the newbies like Jennifer Lawrence.

I like Tom Ford. I like his work but I can also see how collaborating with him would have me be a shaking, crying mess hiding under a table because he’s so intense about his ‘look’.
I always loved Angelina in Versace, including the Doom Dress. She wore color when they dressed her and she looked gorgeous.
She did some modelling as a teenager and said they ‘tried to make her lose weight when she was already thin’.
So I think she has a dim view of the fashion industry.
She had also said she has never gone to a fashion show.
She likes to theme her clothes for film promotion.
Any work with Tom Ford will only happen if she wants to, no other way.
She does not need an image or fashion make over.

With THAT face of hers, you don’t need a lot going on fashion-wise. A blank (or mostly black in her case) canvas works with Angie. Imagine if she dressed in complicated, fussy dresses ala Kidman. It wouldn’t work. One of my favourite looks of all time on Angie was that tux she wore with the tie undone. Simple, timeless. She is just so beautiful, simplicity is the key to her looking great.

Iconic women don’t let the clothes wear them. The clothes just enhance their appeal and charisma. Liz Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren – they weren’t fashion plates. The clothes were an afterthought after the woman herself walked into the room.

I like her in “fancier” gowns too. I loved her in that Elie Saab gown – I think everyone should wear Elie Saab, just cause they are so darn pretty!!!
I’ve never associated her with high fashion either. Of course she likes to look good because who doesn’t but Angie strikes me as a person that doesn’t spend a lot of time on clothes. Accessories like her handbags are probably her prized possessions.
It’s obviously true “Aj” is beautiful, at times like most of us, she is more beautiful than other times. In my humble opinion I really don’t think she cares about the dress or the accessories. I honestly believe she’s matching up herself and her co-stars, (males).
To me, her most stunning look was the 2004 Oscars when she wore that Marc Bouwer white satin gown.
She is a GORGEOUS woman, very beautiful with that unique and stunning face. There really is no other actress as stunning in the face as AJ. I do wish she’d put on weight though, as aging is a b**tch for everyone and her being so thin, that never ages well in the face./
That said, clothes-wise, I have rarely seen anything on her that I go WOW . TO me, she only REALLY good pregnancy gowns, but rarely in regular ones. She doesn’t care I think. Her clothes and fashion are never that great- it’s her amazing posture and confidence and gorgeous face, that gives off a “I’m rocking this outfit” vibe, even when it clearly horrible – you barely register the ugh of her clothes.
Ugh, her darn fugly black boots she wears with black skirts when she is with her kids as her “dressing down” outfit (WTF, does she not own jeans!?). I would love if someone could work on her dress-down style.
But I personally think she LOVES to be a rebel in ALL WAYS and when it comes to fashion she likes to be uppidity when compared to other actresses like Gwynneth P and others who focus on fashion – like she’s thinking “I’m ABOVE all that, I have a BRAIN and do CHARITY, love of fashion is not my priority and I pity those who make it their priority”. It makes her unique…a lovely women who has access to expensive clothes and fashion yet doesn’t care. And Angelina wants to be unique above all else.
But that said, I do think she may perhaps realize she needs to turn a new page for her new life. She must realize that many OTHER WOMEN love fashion and that is 50% of the fans paying to see movies, so perhaps she does know that she needs to up her game. Andif Brad ends up dating an into-fashion women (which is most women really) and she is compared in side-by-sides, then she may REALLY turn it up a notch. I think that flowy BRIGHT pink dress she wore in Cambodia, was a “f-u, I can do pretty and cheery fashion” too statement. It was gorgeous on her and she needs to turn it up more often. She no longer is part of that GORGEOUS GOLDEN COUPLE factor, when they could each get away with boring as two pretties up the pretty factor together no matter what they wear.
Like many single women, she needs a makeover…new hair, new clothes, new look.

Angelina is not into fashion. She is not driven by vanity.
Angelina is not driven by vanity and not obsessed by fashion, but she was and still is a top actress who continues to take very good care of herself and her physical presence, from her hair to her face and body. She certainly understands that presenting herself in an attractive and eye-catching way is a means to gain positive public attention, whether for her films or her humanitarian work.
She knows the value of her beauty and isn’t above using it for promotional purposes in a variety of areas; I can see her doing a capsule line with Ford or another couturier who could enhance her image and bring good pr and possibly funds to her causes as well. Along the lines of her recent Guerlain campaign or the Vuitton ads she did several years back.
I really like Angelina but I really wish she would put on some weight. That first PUC of the leg is painful to look at. I feel sorry for her. I know she has been through a lot with all the surgeries but I hoped by now she can put on some weight.

I think she’s one of the most drop-dead gorgeous women. There are many beautiful actresses , but AJ just has that extra special something , so she tops the rest in the beauty dept. for me.

When a women is thin she considered a skelton but when a man is considered thin he looks good. Some women will always diss a woman before a man.
Angelina needs a new stylist. Jen Rade isn’t doing her any favors. She needs to move on from the Versace she favors. They look old and tired. She’s worn L’Wren Scott which looks lovely. Too bad L’Wren is no more. Angie’s also worn Ralph and Russo. One particular R&R dress was a white strapless, short dress with a peplum waist that she wore to one of the WW Z premiers was beautiful on her. Personally, I think Angie would look lovely in a lot of Italian sportswear designers like Agnona and Max Mara, Bottega Veneta. She could also really use an injection of modern with designers like Cushnie & Ochs, Sally LaPointe, The Row, Jasper Conran, Vanessa Bruno, Martin Grant. I would really love to see her in Raf Simmons, Vionnet. I think Alaïa would be a perfect match for her edginess. Her softer side would love Co, Rochas, Paule Ka.
The most gorgeous woman on the planet…among the ranks of Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren and Elizabeth Taylor. She will always be ranked as one of the most gorgeous women ever, regardless of what she wears.
She is long overdue for a change and makeover. Now that her kids are growing up the motherly, wife digs Brad wanted her in is tired. I think he wanted her to look less appealing so he could get the shine which didn’t work.
She should go the sexy single mom route. A new look with a new designer. Versace had made lovely gowns for her but her casual look needs over riding. Jen Rade is horrible but Angie is loyal.
I would love the modern day chic working woman look during the fall when she begins her classes.
