Out of all the pop stars out there… I really do think that Rihanna is probably the most fun to be around. She seems to have a great sense of humor, she’s a total flirt, she’s confident and Bad Girl RiRi loves to party. So, here’s some evidence of Rihanna’s sense of humor. To celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s 91st birthday, Rihanna superimposed the Queen’s head on some of her (Rihanna’s) classic photos.
It’s worth noting that Rihanna is a citizen of Barbados – she’s basically the roving ambassador for Barbados – and Barbados is a commonwealth country. As in, they have chosen the Queen to remain as their head of state, although Barbados has been an independent country for decades. This is not a gauche American “making fun” of the Queen, it’s one of the Queen’s subjects making fun of her. But is that what Rihanna is really doing? Is she making fun of the Queen? I actually think that Rihanna is trying to honor Queen Liz. She’s doing it in a funny way, of course. But is it offensive to see the Queen’s grumpyface on Rihanna’s body, when Rihanna is the one to post those images??
Anyway, I love this. I hope this becomes a meme. What should be next: the Queen’s head superimposed on Angelina’s Leg of Doom dress.

I don’t think it’s disrespectful, just tongue-in-cheek and taking the piss – the Queen isn’t a deity and I’d like to think she’d have enough of a sense of humour to appreciate being given the cool grandma treatment.

You’re right, Rihanna seems like she’d just be fun to be with. And these pictures are a hilarious reminder of that. The Queen doesn’t show it often, but she has a sense of humour about her position and I’m sure she’ll have a laugh about this as soon as Harry shows her on his phone.
