Chrissy Teigen and John Legend treat date night like prom night

In a day and age where I (for one) suspect chivalry could be taking its last breath, along comes John Legend to prove me wrong. On Sunday night, John and wife Chrissy Teigen hit a party in New York. The 31-year-old model wore a mini-dress and didn’t seem to plan well for a slightly chilly Big Apple evening. John, ever the gentleman, took off his jacket and gave it to his wife to keep her warm. Aww.

Before the evening’s festivities, John presented his wife of four years with a wrist corsage and the couple posed for photos reminiscent of prom pictures. Chrissy shared the whole thing on Snapchat, because of course she did.

Also on Sunday night, Chrissy showed us all the dark side of prom night, if you will. The social media over-sharer took to Snapchat to document “The Great Hair Extension Battle of 2017.” Apparently, Chrissy had difficulty removing her clip-on hair extensions and enlisted an assistant to help her try to remove them. The model was clad in a white leotard as she squiggled around, making the task at hand quite the challenge for her poor assistant. At one point, she announced, “Now hiring: new assistants to take my hair out cause this one sucks.”

Fortunately, the extensions were removed and life went on. I’m not sure if Chrissy was drunk, but she sure seemed like it. I know some people think it’s cute when girls are drunk, and Chrissy likes the hooch, obviously. But, I can speak from experience and say that it’s really not cute. I’m kind of tired of seeing her drunken shares. And, I don’t have kids, but is she really setting a good example for Luna here? But, having said that, I can only say Thank God that the internet wasn’t around when I was young. Who knows, a clip of myself setting my acrylic nail on fire while attempting to light a cigarette after my prom (true story) would have gone viral.

Together, and separately, they are so incredibly annoying.
It feels like all of this “cuteness” is just for show.

    • jinni says:

Same. Also after Chrissy told the story of how her assistant had to tuck her tampon string in her ass cheeks for her because Chrissy does not wear underwear, I have always felt bad for her assistant.

    • Taiss says:

Right! I used to love john, but he’s gotten to corny and annoying with Chrissy. I don’t see his appeal anymore.

    • MaybeTomorrow says:

Completely agree, She was cute early on and in small doses. However she had the shelf life of a dairy product.

  2. Ashley.Nate says:

    No one currs

  3. detritus says:

Joking to your employees about replacing them, that’s kind of a dick move.

  4. Meow says:

They are both annoying as hell.

  5. nemera34 says:

Never get why grown adults need to relive such a time. But Chrissy looks a lot thinner than I recall. This reminds me of Nick and Mariah and all those fantasy things. But maybe they are trying to keep it interesting.

    • Taiss says:

And this isn’t her first time posting herself drunk, I don’t see what’s cute about it especially from an adult.

  6. Patricia says:

So funny when the assistant roughly puts Chrissy’s head back where she needs it to take the hair extension out haha, makes me think she’s used to dealing with Chrissy’s drunk antics.

They are corny as hell but I prefer corny and in love over super cool and not in love. They have a child so their relationship is important not just to them but to their child. What ever they do to keep it strong, I can’t criticize.

  7. Meow says:

Also, whoa, when did her face become almost pure plastic??

  8. So says:

They annoy the shit out of me. Her especially. She sounds so spoiled, self centered and immature.

  9. Konfused says:

Is she setting a good example for Luna? What kind of question is that Corey? Is she not allowed to joke around let alone make mistakes throughout her life without having her parenting skills be questioned? No parent is perfect just like no child is perfect, however Luna is shown to be in a happy healthy loving environment. Live and let live.

    • Lilly says:

Yes, I don’t get how she’s not allowed to have fun because she’s a mother?I find her annoying as hell, but she seems like a great mum.

And drunk girls ‘aren’t cute’? Maybe she’s not trying to be cute and is just being herself?

    • Missmarirose says:

Thank you! I think that comment is out of line. Mothers are allowed to drink and go out and have fun too without having their parenting questioned. There’s nothing to indicate that she is anything but a good mother.

    • Snowflake says:

Yeah, wth? Even as a mom, you can get drunk, no big deal.

  10. Keri says:

Nope. Nothing cute or funny about this. She is an attention whore. That is all.

  11. Emily says:

I think it’s less about the example she’s setting and more about…what mom of a young kid can allow themselves to be drunk/hungover so often? Call me a mommy-shamer, but if you’re going to make so much of your public persona about being a mommy, people are going to start to wonder who’s actually taking care of your kids when you’re constantly posting drunken date night videos.

It could also be that I just think she is way, way too extra and I find her annoying as all get out.

    • GingerCrunch says:

You’re right. Lots of help and family around for this one to indulge. If that’s the image you want out there for all to see, then Go with God…🙄

    • Konfused says:

Ok mommy-shamers..seriously talk about judgemental, there are so many people clutching their pearls in this post. She looks like she was having fun whether she was drunk or not doesn’t matter. Really she posted one vid joking around now everyone’s all she’s drunk again?! Omg who’s watching Luna?!..ladies, go have a drink yourselves

    • GingerCrunch says:

Didn’t she post multiple tipsy snapgrams or instachats at an awards show earlier this year? And didn’t she say she suffered ppd? Now I am a bit concerned (for the kid) but still not clutching my pearls over Mrs. Legend.

  12. Rhiley says:

John Legend’s voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me. A song of his comes on and I turn the station. His wife makes me do the same for television.

  13. Disco Dancer says:

Wouldn’t be surprised if these two divorce in a few years. I always find it suspicious when a couple insists on pushing their “everlasting love” on social media.

    • GingerCrunch says:

Ikr? You’re telling me he thinks his daughter’s mother’s drunk shenanigans are cute? Maybe he does, but big side-eye for him in that case.

    • bread says:

And it’s going to be messy.

  14. KiddVicious says:

They’re entertaining. I only pay attention to them when they’re posted here at CB so I’m not seeing how thirsty or annoying you all say they are, and I like them in my limited exposure of them.

  15. jill says:

Wait. Before y’all continue the hate, I have to say, as a fellow depression sufferer, I loved the story about how he’d sleep on the couch with her, when she couldn’t pick herself off of it. That’s really sweet. Maybe this is a way to lift herself up.

  16. Icantremembermyusername says:

She is an unabashed attention whore. But seriously, mixing alcohol with anti depressants is not good. (Speak from experience.)

  17. HoustonGrl says:

IMO these super-showy couples usually don’t last. She’s annoying with these posts, but in all fairness Instagram is basically her job, right?
