Drew Barrymore is dating an exec from company that makes her beauty line

Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelmann announced their separation early last year, and there were rumors that they had separated about a year prior to that. The semi-official reason given was that Drew wasn’t happy being married and wanted more freedom essentially. The two tried to make it work, it didn’t, and it seemed like Drew’s decision from the vague things she’s said on the record about it. This was Drew’s third marriage, she has two children with Will, daughters Olive, 4, and Frankie, 3. The divorce was relatively quick and amicable, Drew and Will remained close for the sake of their daughters, they even spent Christmas together, and Drew is also still close to Will’s family.

Drew has said in the wake of her divorce that she wasn’t ready to date, she repeated that in January of this year, and there weren’t any rumors of infidelity when she split. So now she’s reportedly dating a VP at a company which manufactures her Flower Beauty line of cosmetics. The two have been very undercover and there isn’t much information about the guy except for his LinkedIn and his name. She is sort-of ready to go public with the relationship because she’s tagged him on Instagram (his Instagram is private) but hasn’t posted a photo of him yet.

David Hutchinson — a senior vice president at Maesa, the company that manufactures and markets her Flower Beauty products.

The new couple were spotted sipping on drinks and taking in a DJ set by Norwegian superstar Kygo at the XS Nightclub in Wynn Las Vegas Friday night — she wearing a long floral print dress, black hat and loafers.

Page Six was first to report the news of their pairing, with a source telling the outlet the two were in Palm Springs, California, for a wedding last weekend.

Romance rumors first sparked between the two earlier this month, after Barrymore tagged Hutchinson in a two of her captions on Instagram.

Though he wasn’t pictured in either photo (and has a private Instagram account himself), he still found his username listed in both pics. The first, from June 2, features Barrymore and fashion editor Zanna Roberts Rassi at a restaurant. The other, from Monday, shows her and a friend holding up purses up over their faces.

Since his Instagram is private and he’s not listed on his company’s management page, there are precious few photos of Hutchinson. The Daily mail has some paparazzi photos allegedly of Drew out with him in NY this April though (what the hell kind of pants is she wearing?) and he does resemble the profile pic on his Instagram. Good for Drew and it seems like she waited a while before getting involved with someone new. Given her track record she shouldn’t marry this one though.

Drew just posted this, but maybe she shouldn’t have tagged her new boyfriend if she didn’t want people talking about him.

Not a good idea to mix business with pleasure. Guy needs to find another job.

Agreed… if things go south, it’s going to be extra messy.

Also, I like Drew, but her makeup has not been good in YEARS. She is a walking advertisement for her makeup line, and based on what I’ve seen I wouldn’t buy it. Maybe that’s her makeup artist’s fault, but she needs to do something about her eyebrows.

Really, he should know better. Drew is in the entertainment business which seems to not care about professional boundaries, but if he is an exec then he should have sufficient corporate background to realize this is no bueno.

It almost makes me worry he’s going to take advantage of her in some way, but she’s a grown woman so I worry about being too “poor little Drew”.

I have such a soft spot for Drew and idk why.. she’s one of my faves ❤️

Hopefully this relationship works out becaude if they break up it’ll be bad for business.

Me, too, I’ve always found her endearing.

But bummer to see her line is carried in Wal-Mart, yuck. It was sweet of her to pose with the employees, though.

I am the opposite. She has always rubbed me the wrong way.

I always liked her myself. I never quite had a crush on her though I always found her attractive. She seems like she’d be fun to be around. I worked on the Charlie’s Angels sequel and I remember the video she and director McG made for the McDonald’s executives of them singing the whole McDonald’s menu song.

Drew’s makeup line is decent but I wish it was not exclusive to Walmart.

  4. Missmarirose says:

That is the nicest makeup display I’ve ever seen at a Walmart. They are usually a half empty mess in every Walmart I’ve ever been in.

Something has been off with Drew since she got pregnant. I know she’s a grown woman and we all say that grown ups are responsible for themselves. But there has always been something vulnerable about Drew. Especially since she married. I don’t think she’s the type of grown up who can handle life on her own, never mind with kids.

Her grooming used to be good. It looks half hearted now which would be fine except she wears makeup which makes it worse. Either do a good makeup job or avoid it. Eyebrows and hair for sure…ugh. I’m a bit worried about her I think. I hope this guy knows what he’s doing.

I don’t think Drew should marry anyone again or get too serious. She’s not wired that way imo which is fine but I hope she embraces that and enjoys her life ‘in private’ as she claims to want. Not announcing every guy or person. Just do her thing.

I agree that she should rethink those eyebrows. She seems to have jumped on the big brow trend, but imo it doesn’t really suit her at all. Especially with the messy hair and occasionally haphazard makeup, she just ends up looking ungroomed. Doesn’t quite sit right since she’s, you know, selling her own makeup line.

Anyway yeah, rarely a great idea to date at work.
