The past year of Charlie Hunnam has not been great for his image. He can’t shut up about how he ghosted his girlfriend Morgana McNelis, or how ignoring her and cutting off contact with her for five months was “really hard” on her, or how funny it was. Charlie and Morgana have been together for ten years, and ghosting or not, they do seem to be pretty solid. Meaning, she puts up with a lot, but hey, at least he tries to defend his relationship to his creepy stalkers? Something like that. After a decade together, it appears that Charlie might be thinking about marrying her. This is according to Star Magazine.
After more than a decade of dating, Charlie Hunnam is preparing to pop the question to jewelry designer Morgana McNelis!
“After his divorce, Charlie didn’t believe in rushing things,” says a source close to the actor, who wed actress Katharine Towne just one month after they met in 1999 and described their marriage as three “terrible, painful, expensive” years.
“Charlie and Morgana have been OK with just living together, but now, as he approached 40, his thoughts have turned to starting a family.”

Charlie talked about his first marriage a little bit while he was promoting King Arthur. He got hitched in Vegas when he was 18 years old, and the divorce lasted longer than the marriage, I believe. That’s the kind of thing that would put most people off the institution for a long time, I would think. I’m not even sure Charlie would ever get married to anyone ever again, but who knows? If you find a partner who will stay with you even when you ghost them for five months (and then laugh about it later), I guess you probably should put a ring on it.

Yes. I do some “swimming”, [more like an aging turtle in the water] at our local park pool to lower blood pressure. Went to see WONDER WOMAN and thoroughly enjoyed it. I actually cried. But as my little girl says, “You cry at everything,Mom.”
Haha, I went to see “My Cousin Rachel” last week and enjoyed that too. Haven’t been swimming in a while, but I think my style would pretty well imitate yours!
Also, is star magazine a credible source for anything? I don’t think any of Charlie’s friends would leak anything to the press. To be fair, He has been talking about being less singular and trying to reconcile his career with a more personal life in interviews lately though. I honestly wish he would keep his relationship to himself. He says he wants privacy but in his latest interviews, all he talked about was his relationship issues and the ghosting and then contradicted himself by making it seem it was the greatest relationship ever. Just keep your relationship private CHarlie. Like some other celebrities, we don’t know who they are dating because they don’t put their business on front street.

I was completely convinced for many years that she is transgender (born a man)… (pardon me if that phrasing is incorrect). There are many photos where she looks extremely masculine.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen her. I thought she was making weird expressions and apparently it’s her face.

Well, Charlie seems to like pondering about things, so after ten years of pondering, maybe he’s come to a decision. And if Morgana can deal with Charlie’s penchant to ponder about anything and everything ad infinitum, it’s her life. She knows the deal.
I don’t see the physical appeal of her and I don’t see the personality appeal of him. They’re probably a match made in heaven.

Judging by how he described his first marriage and how expensive it was to get out of it, If they were to take that step, he’d probably give her a prenup where she’d get next to nothing if they divorce. I don’t know how those things would work though. Would she get something if they stay married for a particular time?
I still remember how he bragged about how easy it was for him make Morgana forgive him after the ghosting : he was so happy because he bought her very “cheap” jewellery -or something for her work- on location for his film and that was it. He’s a cheap fella. He actually pointed out how “cheap” it was. Classless.
The hate and harassment that his girlfriend was receiving was actually really bad. I follow his personal fb page that is ran by one of his biggest fans. He doesn’t post anything personal at all. His girlfriend was receiving death threats, she was called horrible names etc. He had to record a video of him asking his fans to please stop being so hateful to her and the moderator of page posted it for him. She didn’t deserve all of that hate. I do feel bad for her in that respect.

I agree that no one deserve that and those people crossed the line, but to be fair it was very odd for that admin and fan to come to a place where people who had real issues with his girlfriend because of bad customer service and awful quality of her goods and fuel them not to just dislike her for her own doings towards her but to really hate her. I think if she wants privacy as she and he claims he had to stop talking about her that much and she has to stop calling paps

This is very very interesting. The fans are in a submissive role to him, so they reflect his mind, the part he does not let out consciously…like parent-child relationship. This guy has shit buried in his mind , hate and death wishes for his girlfriend. It is convenient that his fans act it out so he actually gets to be the hero here. It is sad how people’s minds create even when they do not know what they are doing- and he does n ‘ t have a clue. At some point he will overtly abuse her.

Though this line:”as he approached 40, his thoughts have turned to starting a family”, to me sounds like his decision is made (if that decision is even made) because of age crisis, not out of love or wish to marry her, Is it possible that she is the source? I think yes, the girl waited for a long time may be some little push in public eye will help her to get a ring. Or may be it is his friends who are the source, but in both cases as i wrote above the wording about the reasoning doesn’t look like a happy ending for her.
As for paps, again, i can’t be sure but when he is papped then it’s by different photographers, when he is papped with her it is always same photographer and same order how (from which media) pics goes online.

I don’t think his friends would say anything to the paps. It’s either a repeat of all his latest interviews (slow news day so they just used some of his interviews this year), or her and/or her friends leaking things to the press. Though he may be coming close to a decision, I think if he is going to do it, he’d just do it without all this pondering. Sometimes men need a little push. If he wants a family and he thinks he’s getting old, maybe the age factor is the push he needs. I still don’t think they are compatible though just based on pics. She looks like his hommie not someone he is madly in love with.
