Goldie Hawn is all over her daughter Kate Hudson’s love life. It seems Goldie knows Kate’s man-eating habits well enough – but now Goldie is afraid Kate is just going to get her heart broken. Kate’s with Alex Rodriguez now, in case you haven’t been keeping up with her ever-changing boyfriend status. Kate and Alex began dating about a month ago, and of course Kate is moving too fast and is probably ready to get married by now (it’s been a month, after all). Goldie is trying to talk her daughter out of getting too serious with A-Rod – and yet this Daily Mail report indicates that Goldie thinks Kate should be “settled down and [leave] the dating scene behind for a while.” I guess they mean “settled down” as in “not having a boyfriend and chilling out for two seconds.”
Goldie Hawn is urging daughter Kate Hudson to put the brakes on her burgeoning relationship with American baseball star Alex Rodriguez.
Goldie fears Kate, who has one failed marriage behind her, could have her heart broken by Rodriguez, who is known as ‘A-Rod’.
Kate, 30, who previously stepped out with actor Owen Wilson and cyclist Lance Armstrong, has been dating A-Rod for a month.
She was introduced to the 33-year-old last November by Gwyneth Paltrow when he was still dating Madonna.
Kate apparently fell for the star there and then – but they started dating only last month and Kate has already introduced him to her five-year-old son Ryder.
‘Goldie feels it’s high time Kate settled down and left the dating scene behind for a while,’ says a source.
‘Kate’s had a string of boyfriends since her divorce from Chris Robinson and it’s always the same pattern – she falls hard and fast, then gets bored or has her heart broken. Goldie hates the idea of seeing Kate getting hurt again.’
The relationship has also caused tension between Madonna and Kate.
The source adds: ‘Gwyneth stayed away from the Veuve Clicquot polo in New York recently as Madonna and Kate were there and Gwyneth didn’t want to be caught in the middle.’
Needless to say, Madge and Kate remained at opposite ends of the VIP tent.

Goldie and Kate alleged went through a similar push-and-pull with Kate’s neverending on-again-off-again drama with Owen Wilson. At the time, Goldie thought Owen had emotional issues, and would be a bad influence on Kate’s son Ryder. Personally, I’d think Owen Wilson would be a better influence on a kid than A-Rod, but what do I know. I will agree with Goldie on one thing though – it wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world for Kate to just chill out and not have a boyfriend for a little while. Or Kate could just try dating someone normally, and letting a relationship go at its own pace. What am I thinking? That’s not the Kate Hudson we know and love.

Goldie has been having problems with Kate and boys since she was a very young teenager. There was always lots of talk about her slutty ways during the summer when they would be staying at the family cottage in the Muskokas in Canada. Nothing has changed? This is why Goldie would only fork out $100,000 for her wedding to that ugly bearded guy when she could have afforded much more. She knew it wouldn’t last. Kate is a typical rich actor’s kids. Spoiled, no sense of the real world and addicted to the initial high of a new relationship with no interest in the long-term work any relationship takes. Goldie has nothing to worry about. Kate will dump A-Rod when the relationship settles down and becomes boring because nothing is new. Then she will move on. Can you say shallow?

Kate reminds me of a former co-worker. She’s very intelligent, educated, had a good career with a high position, and was quite attractive with a shapely build. She even had her own house, which was nice. She had no problems getting dates.
But she wanted to be serious within a week, and started dropping marriage hints to guys that stuck around longer than the “serious week”. The only thing I could figure that protected her from total losers was that she was attracted to attractive, manly men that had jobs, and those kinds usually don’t tolerate that kind of desperateness for very long.
I never understood why she was so desperate to move things too quickly, when she had so many other things going for her, and made smart decisions in her career.

Kate is cute but her coloring looks terrible in this picture like it has a greenish tint. I was thinking that she looks like she just rolled out of bed, which struck me as funny given the topic of her sexual/dating habits. Apparently, Kate rolls out of bed a lot!

It sounds to me like there is two different stories altogether about Kate–one, that she is a serial dater who changes up men rapidly, and the other that she is desperate to move a relationship to serious instantly and get married.
And didn’t Owen (who, yeah, definately has emotional issues), have some kind of breakdown after Kate dumped him?
If she’d been so desperate for marriage, it sounds like OW would have offered her that.
I have to say, I have my doubts about the ‘she wants to get married’ rumors. She seems to throw herself into relationships, but maybe she just likes the thrill of the ‘newly in love’ stage?
I think if she’d really wanted to marry again, she would have by now.
On the other hand, how confusing is it for her son, with this revolving door of men in his mother’s life? Poor little kid…not knowing who is going to be around in a few weeks must make it hard for him to trust anyone beyond his family.

The worst parts in all these is that Kate has crappy taste in men. I mean, she is rich, famous and somewhat attractive so she can pull the best looking guys but ends up dating weird looking ones with apparent issues and baggage. Come on Kate, if you are going to have fun then do it right.

Clearly,although she claims kurt russell is her ‘papa’ and disclaims her biological dad,something is/was missing from the equation that translates into her outer life and relationsips with men.
That’s what I’m struck by most: the lame men she has chosen. Though,OW to me is the best of the lot in recent years-but he’s not the marrying type,from what I hear.[yes,he has emotional issues,but i don't think he is nearly as emotionally stunted as armstrong and rodriquez. i think OW actually had/has emotions to contend with,and hence the issues in doing so.]
She’s probl caught herself in her own desire for excitement and newness the high of that,and her insecurity over her father abandoning her-so she keeps re-creating that in her life.
What do I know? Cheap psychology,I know. But clearly there’s some father issue connection.

As usual, I have to wonder who this “source” is who knows so much about Goldie Hawn’s intimate opinions on her daughter’s love life.
And I so don’t agree that Kate is cute or attractive in any way, shape or form! She is so average, and only looks pretty when she’s been worked on by professionals for four hours before a red carpet event.

Outside of bringing her young son into these situations, I’m not really bothered by her serial relationships. She’s young, single and allowed to date whomever she wants to. I suspect when she introduces her son to these guys she says they’re “friends” or co-workers on one of her films. She travels for her work so he doesn’t know the difference when she’s off gallivanting around following these guys in their various career endeavors.
Her mother was quite the dater in her day so she knows of what she speaks. LOL
No sense worrying about this one, she’ll be with someone else in a few months…probably back with Wilson who we all know has a healthy overview of life in general. I guess if I dated a drugged out depressive like Owen Wilson I’d have to play around a little in between gigs to get him out of my system.
