Ariana Grande cancels Vietnam concert, said to have flu

Hey, everyone has to call in sick every once in a while right? Now it’s Ariana Grande’s turn. The 24-year-old singer canceled a concert on Wednesday at the Quan khu 7 Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam blaming “health issues” as the reason. Gossip Cop reports that Ariana was suffering from a horrible flu.

Ariana posted an apology to her fans on Instagram Stories, writing, “My babes in Vietnam, I apologize from the bottom of my heart but I’m really dealing with some health problems at the moment. I came here to Vietnam, so excited to perform, my doctor won’t allow me to do the show for you tonight. I’m so so sorry. There is nothing I hate to do more than to do this but I promise to make it up to you in the future. I love you and thank you for understanding.”

I didn’t have tickets to the show, but I understand. Girlfriend has been working hard for the money. Ariana has been on her Dangerous Woman tour for months. Her tour date in Manchester, England in May tragically ended with a terror attack that killed 22 people. She did postpone seven concerts after the attack, but quickly put together a benefit concert for the victims and their families that raised millions of dollars. She also canceled two gigs in Mexico last month. And, after taking this “sick day” (which I’m sure will be rescheduled or refunded), she’s got more tour dates in China, New Zealand and Australia before wrapping up the tour on September 21 at the AsiaWorld–Arena in Hong Kong.

I don’t know if Ariana’s Vietnamese fans have access to Apple Music, but if they do, they can catch a clip of her belting out a Broadway-worthy rendition of “Suddenly Seymour” from Little Shop of Horrors with Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane on an new episode of Carpool Karaoke. Ariana kind of killed it, even after Seth interrupted the song by abruptly stomping on the car’s brakes, and proudly shared the preview clip on Instagram, captioning, “Tonight on @carpoolkaraoke @applemusic!!! @macfarlaneseth and I serve you some show tunes. We shot this almost a year ago so this is very exciting. Hope you enjoy! P.S. s/o to Audrey II in the back.” I did enjoy. Feel better soon, Ariana.

Okay?… I hope she feels better soon.

Probably getting her lip fillers topped up.

Idk, but the winged liner closes her eyes and makes them look really small. Winged liner is so dated…

Funny thing about the classic vintage looks… they never really go “out.”

The trick is to find what best works for you and go with it.

The “wing” can be dramatic for stage makeup, or just a little flick for daytime. Don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it! (If you’re too pale for dark liner, try a medium/light brown, or other shades like plum.) With a little practice, it can be fun. Any look can be made more subtle or dramatic via color choice.

Sometimes you get sick when you come down from a big stress. She’s been going non-stop since Manchester, so I’m not surprised. Hope she feels better soon and I’m sure she’ll treat her disappointed fans to something. Which around donut licking time, I would not have been so sure she would.

The manchestar attack probably had a deep impact
Such things do tend to affect health.

    She has amazing voice

The way she conducted herself after the manchestar attack and her one love concert made me respect her a lot.

I have forgiven her diva attitude and behavior ever since

She just annoys me. I think it’s the way she dresses childishly sometimes and acts babyish. She’s 24! I hate when women do that.

  6. Harlequin says:

Flu season here in Australia has been horrible, the flu vaccine only takes the edge off. I hope she feels better soon, cause this flu is a bitch 🙁

  7. JC says:

Never will get past her repulsive donut-licking episode in that coffee shop. And as a fan of Big Brother, I thought her brother was one of the most unlikable and unkind characters ever to appear on that show.

I took my daughter and her friend to her concert in Cleveland and it was possibly the best concert I’ve attended. She pulls out all the stops and her response to the terror attack in Manchester was a million times better than anyone else I’ve seen. Strep is going around here (already!!! School JUST started). I hope she’s on the mend soon. The flu is one of those things you have to really watch out for, before you know it pneumonia strikes. Even otherwise healthy people.
