Judi Dench ‘still feels desire’ at the age of 82, says older folks should ‘never give up’

Eventually, Dame Judi Dench will play every British queen in history. It has been foretold. I’ve lost count of how many times Dench has played a British queen, but she’s at it again. She’s playing Queen Victoria in the film Victoria & Abdul. It’s the true story of Queen Victoria – who was then a widow – and her friendship with a much younger “Indian manservant” named Abdul. Abdul is played by Ali Fazal. And let’s just say this… 82-year-old Judi Dench is hot for Ali Fazal. Good for her.

Movie veteran Dame Judi Dench says she has sexual desires at 82 — and still adores racy lingerie. Dench said of sex: “Well, of course, you still feel desire. Does that ever go? To the older reader, I would say, ‘Don’t give up’!”

Recommending her favorite London undies store, she added: “There’s a lovely naughty knicker shop  —  but don’t buy up everything because I’m going there.”

The Oscar-winning star spoke to the Radio Times ahead of the release of her film “Victoria & Abdul.” Dench plays a 67-year-old Queen Victoria, who starts a friendship with her 24-year-old Indian manservant. She gushed about actor Ali Fazal, 30, who plays Abdul Karim: “He is very, very tall. He is extremely beautiful and he is an utterly delightful, charming man.”

And she said of scenes where she has to appear attracted to her co-star: “No acting at all required.”

Judi has been a widow for sixteen years now – her husband Michael Williams died in 2001. I think that Judi is with someone now, a partner/boyfriend/friend, but they are not married. But I’ve always said that Judi is like catnip for men. Daniel Craig fawned over her during every Bond movie promotional tour. She and Dev Patel got along rather famously on The Best Marigold Hotel movies too, which makes me think she has a thing for Indian men. In any case… Dame Judi still gets randy! Good for her. Octogenarians still get horny, and God bless them.

Bless my heart Ali Fazal is hot! How tall is he? He looks basketball player tall. Good for Judi!

I love Judi Dench. Whenever I think of who I want to be if I’m lucky enough to grow old, it’s Judi Dench in the Bond movies. She was tough, smart, respected and yes, even sexy.

She rocks my socks. Apparently Vin Diesel taught her how to play Dungeons and Dragons on the set of Chronicles of Riddick. She really does seem to be endlessly charismatic. I want to drink martinis with her and talk about sex.

    • Janetdr says:

Me too! When I’m watching her onscreen I am just blown away by how beautiful she is!

  3. third ginger says:

I adore her. The best part of any Bond movie for me was Dench in SKYFALL reading Tennyson’s “Ulysses” [also a poem about old people not giving up] and then a gun battle breaks out!!

It’s funny bc I watched Graham Norton’s appearances of Judi Dench, Helen Mirren, Diane Keaton and they were quite forward with the gentlemen. There was a lot of kissing and flirting. I’m ashamed to say that I am not fond of this gushing – it makes me uncomfortable. If a man was saying this, it would be verging on creepy. Or am I reading too much into this? I sound like a prude but it did make me feel a bit sorry to see the old man/woman card where you can say anything sexual and get a pass.
However, good for her to defend old age desire!

    • Tig says:

I know what you mean! The Diane Keaton show was just too weird- I can’t imagine a similar aged gentleman saying to the entire panel-“gimme a kiss”. Talk about awkward. But I think “loveable kook” is Diane’s MO now.
I enjoy Helen M and Dame Judy on Graham Norton- a bit of flirting is fun to watch.

  5. Chinoiserie says:

She has already played Victoria so this is kind of like a sequel for her.

    Love Dame Judi

I’ve heard that she likes to gift her young male co-stars with handmade pillows on which she has inscribed some very personal and randy comments in needlepoint. I remember hearing this around the time of My Week with Marilyn and Eddie Redmayne was expecting it but still a bit shocked.

According to every statistic I have ever read, ever, they DON’T. Sorry not sorry to the Greatest Generation (maybe that’s why they are so great, hard to get discouraged when you’re apparently getting laid every ten minutes) and the early baby boomers (nvm), but y’all are a bunch of sex maniacs.

    • Who ARE These People? says:

      LOL.

In fact, doctors need to address the sexuality of older patients and discuss with them how to protect against sexually transmitted diseases. As part of this, women’s drier and thinner vaginal lining especially makes them more vulnerable to infection.

      • Laurie says:

This may be tmi but you can go through a procedure called the Mona Lisa. It’s a laser treatment for the vagina to strengthen the walls. I’m 66. This had totally rejuvenated my relationship with my long term bf. I had lost my desire years ago and this has turned my world around. Dame densch is 100% correct. Never give up. Why should you?!

  9. Jazzjazz says:

I just love Dame Judi. My favorite program is “As Time Goes By.” I was fortunate to have been able to see her act in person at the Royal Haymarket with Peter Boyles in Hay Fever in London.

I love Judy Dench. I want to be her or Betty White.
