A few days ago, Anthony Bourdain “joked” about Donald Trump. Many of you know, I’m not really a fan of Bourdain, nor do I think he’s particular funny. I mostly find him obnoxious, but whatever, everybody’s different. I do think he was “joking” here… NSFW for language:
In the first minute or so of annoying back-and-forth, the TMZ camera guy asks Bourdain what he would serve to Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un if he (Bourdain) was asked to cater a dinner for them at a summit. Bourdain says, “Hemlock.” When Bourdain was later contacted about that joke, he said he meant to say “kale.” As you can imagine, the Murdoch-owned media outlets are freaking out about it. Fox News had a meltdown and the NY Post is comparing Bourdain to Kathy Griffin (because of that decapitated Trump-head thing) and Reza Aslan (another journalist who simply told the truth about Trump and got fired for it). Bourdain’s show is on CNN, so I guess the Murdoch-owned outlets just want everybody fired from CNN. Sure.
You’ll never guess who defended Bourdain though – Ann Coulter! *mind blown*

Exactly! Not only was this clearly a joke, but people need to stop equating the criticism and jokes made about Obama to those being made about Trump. 99% of the vitriol directed towards Obama was less about policy disagreement and more about his race. Trump is ACTUALLY an awful human being and that’s why the majority of people dislike him.
I love Bourdain. I have a lot of respect for him and husband life and being a reformed alcoholic..and I think this is hilarious! I’d like to serve up some “kale” to those two, as well 😂

I’m a former chef and absolutely hate Bourdain – could never get over all the lies and stolen stories that he passes off as his own.
But FFS, he’s joking here. It’s a joke and it’s mildly funny. Can we move on.
He’s such an abrasive ass that I’m pretty sure he’s threatened his friends with hemlock when they didn’t have his tea quite right or some such.
Plus who knows, maybe he’d just feed them enough hemlock to make them feel unwell, ala exlax. Still not nice, but not murdery.

I was wondering that myself. Not really related, but I think she closely resembles Katie Holmes. It may just be me, though.

Bourdain’s show is a cash cow and is totally reliant on his personal appeal, so it’s not like he’d suffer if he went elsewhere. I suspect CNN knows this.
Yea and trump has retweeted images of himself fighting cnn and hitting Hillary Clinton with a golf ball, the deplorables loved it too. The fish rots from the head down, if the child president wants to joke about violence let other people do it too.

Anthony Bourdain is the Kathy Griffin of the culinary world. Stupid behavior that is supposed to be “edgy” but just falls flat. NO you didn’t “mean” to say something else so please just own it and don’t try to back peddle. No outrage from me. He’s just an aasshole. Always was and always will be.
I would deliver him free range, organic hemlo– I mean kale–any day of the week if he could promise to see this through.
