Remember when Mariah Carey made the meme-worthy comment “I don’t know her” about Jennifer Lopez (a claim she still maintains is true)? She can be shady about other performers, but the 47-year-old chanteuse was more than happy to pose for a photo with Britney Spears on Wednesday. The star-studded guest list for the dinner party event also included Kate Bosworth, Tobey Maguire, and Lee Daniels, according to PEOPLE.
Brit posted the snap to Instagram with the caption, “You never know who you’re going to meet at dinner parties!! Great night! So much fun. Thank you Cade!” Cade is publicist Cade Hudson, in case you were wondering.
As always Mariah wore a very low cut dress, much like when she was spotted out on the town with her “I can’t believe he’s still her” boyfriend Bryan Tanaka. I wonder how much longer this relationship is going to last, as her E! reality show Mariah’s World, will not return for a second season. But, to Mariah’s credit, she delivered a pretty decent performance of her hit “Honey” (which may or may not have been lip synced…cough…) at the Hip Hop Honors – on a jet ski, ‘natch.
Upon seeing Britney’s photo, fans of both singers took to social media to express their delight in seeing their favorites together, and their reactions were as over the top as you’d expect. I can understand how they feel. I mean, if you added Celine Dion and Christina Aguilera to that picture, you would have the 90s diva Mount Rushmore.

I guess Mariah’s going to have to find a way to pass the time until her All I Want for Christmas is You show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in December. Britney, whose Piece of Me run at Sin City’s Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino ends at the end of the year, has found a way to keep herself occupied – and fit. She posted a quick video showcasing her gymnastic skills earlier this week. She captioned the clip, “Fun day yesterday at gymnastics! So excited to hear the Olympics are coming to LA in 2028… already getting in the spirit.” I must admit, girl’s got moves. I can’t even do a somersault anymore.

Omg, I wish so much I could be Britney’s stylist or close friend, because I feel for her! Her hair and make up are always making her look haggard.
She has a great figure, and even though she messed a lot with her face, plus the years of meds, alcohol and cigarretes have taken their toll, she still could look so much better if someone would guide her in the right direction.
Recent botox treatment around Brit’s mouth has left her unable to smile properly. And the Olympics won’t come to L.A. for another decade and she’s excited already? Wow, lol.

Mariah is my b*&#h in the corner eating crackers. I can’t explain it but I loathe everything about her. I know she’s supposed to have an amazing voice but I’ve never been impressed. And she seems like the laziest, most entitled, selfish and nasty piece of work. I feel sorry for her kids. She’s the kind of mom who makes everything about her. In this picture she looks smug and bored. Ugh.
Tell that to her niece and nephew, whom she supplies with trust funds and private educations because their mom (her sister) lived a life ravaged by drugs. Tell that to the people who benefit from the charities Mariah generously supports under the radar. We don’t really know people based on their public personae.
