Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are going into business together

In what could be either the best or worst idea ever, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are making plans to embark on a joint business venture. The 48-year-old singer/actress/dancer told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday that she and her 42-year-old athlete beau, who will be joining the investors of Shark Tank for its season premiere on October 1, were “absolutely” talking about going into business together, adding “We’re already thinking about all the things we can do together.”

And, in between crushing the dreams of budding entrepreneurs, Alex told ET at the Shark Tank premiere on Wednesday that he is excited to team up with his lady love. He said, “We got some things we’re working on that we’re not really ready to announce yet. I think her fans [and] my fans are going to be very excited to get involved.

The two have already seemingly forged a solid relationship, with Alex confessing “I think we’re just best friends. We just love spending time together. Our kids love each other, so it’s a good thing.” (We have heard this same sentiment from them over and over and over again.) So, can they bring this success to the business world? Alex seems to think so, boasting that Jennifer is “the epitome of women power and she’s smart in so many ways. She has the ability and business to kind of see around corners and see what’s next. No one connects better with her fans than Jennifer.” He also shared with US that they already support each other’s current businesses and added “It’s a good time for us and it’s great to be supportive and loving towards each other.”

Neither Jennifer nor Alex have given any hints as to what this business venture is, but I am truly curious as to what Lo-Rez Productions (you can have that one for free on me, guys) is going to bring to the market that will appeal to both Jen’s and Alex’s fans. Baseball-themed stilettos? Blinged-out bats? I’m also really curious to see if the old idea “never go into business with your friends or family” is going to come into play here. They’ve been doing so great, I’d hate to see a failed (or even a wildly successful) business idea ruin what appears to be a sweet romance.

J-Lo has never been any good at keeping business and pleasure separate, has she?

She opened a restaurant with her first husband?
Second was one of her dancers?
She and Ben did that insane music video+film?
Love bear was made head of choreography or whatever on her tour…?

Giiirrrrll you have so much going on – why can’t you separate your business from who you’re sleeping with?!

You forgot third husband – I think they did a Spanish album together and preformed together at numerous concerts.

      • emma33 says:

She actually did a TV show with him after they got divorced! (They travelled all over Latin America looking form the best acts to perform in Vegas.)

      • lucy2 says:

They also both got clothing lines at Kohl’s, I remember seeing their stuff right next to each other when they broke up. Awkward!

    Tick tick tick….

  3. Seraphina says:

    Dumbass.

  4. Jenna says:

Wish her the best. Don’t want to jinx her by saying fools rush in….. but seriously, this has the makings of an ugly ending. Too much, waaaayyyyy too soon.

  5. Lulu says:

I really like them together. I hope this doesn’t come between them.

  6. Goga says:

Does her clothing line still exist?

  7. IlsaLund says:

For all her power and success as an entertainer and businesswoman, JLo has always struck me as being weak when it comes to the heart. She seems to be in love with the idea of love. It’s like she can’t be alone for any length of time and feels she has to always have a man in her life. I hope this relationship doesn’t go the way of the others.

  8. Kitten says:

Man she is so out of his league (no pun intended).

But then again her picker has been broken for all eternity so I guess this isn’t surprising.

  9. Lily says:

He is such a thirst bucket. She seems to love jumping head first into any & every relationship. Just protect those hundreds of millions, girl.

  10. lucy2 says:

Sure, this won’t end badly at all.

I think it must be difficult for wealthy, successful women in showbiz to have a healthy relationship.

Look at Beyoncé. Jay-Z publicly admitted and apologized for cheating on her! Yet she stayed with him. Will Jay-Z be faithful now? I don’t know.

Ben cheated on Jennifer for years and she knew it and prayed he’d get it together but alas Ben is Ben.

Jennifer Lopez appears to break up with guys who cheat on her and gets a lot of shade for that.

Her choices in men baffle me. I understand one or two jerks, but every single man she chooses is deeply flawed and practically has a forehead stamp with a warning to run with a crossed out skull just for extra measure.

  12. Squiggisbig says:

Given her excellent taste in men, what could go wrong?

  13. jferber says:

If anyone can keep Alex in check, it’s JLo.

    • Michelle says:

But why date someone you have to constantly “keep in check?”

That sounds like a waste of time and energy.

      Date someone you can trust.

she loves not wearing drawls and showing the world….. we get it… he has easy access
