When we talked about Taylor Swift and Handsome Joe last weekend, I was surprised by how many of you wanted to talk about how Taylor is thicc now. Like, Tay’s BEEN thicc for much of this year. As soon as her tour was over in 2016, I think she just stopped trying to be model-thin like Karlie Kloss. Personally, I think Taylor looks great at this weight – her face looks younger and she genuinely seems comfortable at this weight, so good for her. Apparently, Handsome Joe likes her curves too, which is always nice. As for Tay and Handsome Joe, there were a bunch of videos from their appearances at the Jingle Balls in New York last weekend. If Taylor looks younger, than so does Joe. My God, he looks like he’s about 12 years old there. They were apparently canoodling a lot in full view of other people, and Joe was watching her perform and whatever. They’re together, that’s the point of this. For all the talk about PRIVACY and THIS IS NOTHING LIKE TIDDLES, she still wants us to know that she’s really with Handsome Joe and everything is perfect. They’re apparently going to spend the holidays together too.
Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn sent Swifties into a frenzy after they showed off some sweet PDA over the weekend at the Jingle Bell Ball in London, and a source tells PEOPLE exclusively the couple are happier than ever.
“She has been more busy with work and traveling, but Joe continues to be supportive and great,” says the Swift source, who adds that the duo are planning to spend the holidays together. When the Grammy winner, 27, heads out on tour next year, “Joe will travel with her as much as possible,” adds the source. “Taylor is still very happy with him.”
While Swift lit up the stage performing hits off her 1989 and reputation albums at Jingle Bell Ball, her proud Brit actor boyfriend, 26, “taped her on stage and seemed very excited,” says an onlooker. “Taylor was very energetic and happy.”
“Joe will travel with her as much as possible” – does he know that? I’ll give JoeTay some credit though – I remember Tiddles vividly, and I remember how both Tom and Taylor tried to make each other sound like the biggest, most important people ever. Like, Tay seemed impressed that Tom was a real actor and he seemed impressed that she was a mega-pop star. They both seemed to feed off each other’s legitimacy and fame. JoeTay isn’t like that. Joe lets Taylor be the star. He seems to be doing everything according to her schedule. My prediction is that she’ll end up getting bored with that, quite honestly.

That’s her publicist I think. Maybe she was trying to cover Taylor and stopped when she realized Taylor had no problem with it? Or she wanted to take off Taylor’s cup? I don’t know
It looks like she was trying to take it from her. Like she did not want Swifty shown with a red cup and that can lead to people knowing she drinks alcohol. I mean, she 28, jeez let her enjoy a cocktail.

Well, that sounds like her dream relationship. All about her being the most important person.
And he’s British, which means her dreams of being a blushing and demure English rose haven’t died just yet.
But not really. Taylor still has her high school mindset in everything and that includes dating the handsome quarterback. I dont think she is interested in a guy that would follow her around. But the type of guy she is interested in is more focused on his own career.
I actually admire that in him, if he is really comfortable with the idea that she is the star. I mean, there are not many men who could be at the same position (fame wise) she is, so a basically unknown actor who has no problem with the idea that his girlfriend will always be the most famous one, sounds to me like a guy who is sure of himself.
I missed the thicc conversation, but I noticed it too-she looks healthy and fit, but has a little more meat on her bones. (This is not in anyway suggesting that very thin people can’t be healthy and fit-all weights are fine.)
I am starting to like Ol’ Gorgeous Joe-he seems to like TayTay, he’s not trying to famewhore, and she seems happy.
Both Tay and Riri gained weight which is normal cos they aren’t kids anymore and both seem to be emotionally fulfilled.

totally and it suits both of them. i totally filled out when i turned 27 – like on my 27th birthday i woke up 20 lbs heavier an it was all in my thighs. welcome to reality ladies – you’re still gorgeous. (except for taylor’s hair – girl….get it together with those bangs)
Sure, she does look great. Also, I find myself more and more into Handsome Joe. Mostly because of the fact that, well, he IS handsome. Dammit, Taylor.
I don’t get the handsome Joe nickname. He’s cute but no more than in an average way. More like Average Joe, than handsome in the looks department.

I have to agree, I don’t understand all the comments about his looks. To me he is exceptionally plain, I don’t get the hype.

I am beginning to think she’s pregnant. She has put on weight. That happens around her age sometimes for tall girls, filling out, or she could be pregnant. It’s the looseness of the tops that she keeps wearing that is beginning to make me suspect it.
There were pictures of her at the Jingle Bell thing in London where you can see her waist. She’s not pregnant. Also she seemed quite buzzed afterwards – so she’s certainly drinking alcohol. I think she is just happy.
I do have to say that I disagree that Taylor tried to make it sound as if Tom was the most impressive guy ever – err she never mentioned him at all. For that matter, he only mentioned her once saying that yes they were together and very happy.
I think she looks good with the weight on, but she doesn’t know how to dress for her body. That or her clothes in her new era are just hideous. Also, this relationship is nothing new. Her rollout is just beginning, I think.
The boyfriends are always used as props in her marketing strategy. Album sales must be soft, so they needed something to drum up more interest before the tour starts next year.

Oh, god, if she is “thicc”, I must be obese. She is still a very slim woman. But yes, the around five pounds she’s gained this year does help her face quite a bit. Less cat-like and softer.
Yeah she looks great but it’s more than five pounds, she’s super tall so it’s at least 30-40 .

Yeah during one of those weird secret fan events she held she apparently expressed annoyance that people keep saying she’s pregnant when she just gained 15 pounds. And I still think it’s more than that, because of her height. Maybe it’s “I’m happy in a relationship” weight gain, that’s certainly a thing and I’ve been there. You wind up spending less time at the gym and more time vegging out at home. Nothing wrong with that, but she does need to learn to dress for not being super super thin. Dark, baggy AF tops don’t really make you look thinner — common mistake.
I agree Lucy-I’m not quite as tall as she is, but I am well above average, and this is a solid amount of weight. She looks fantastic, no criticism.

So private that we will know what they eat at holidays and that she bought plain Joe socks. She is milking this RS like all previous. Only startegy is little difrent. She doesn’t know what PRIVATE mean. If papa don’t take photos, but your PR team sells bunch of stories to gossips sides, it isn’t private. And she loves to be seen and adore by public. Now we will see next love tour – her and Joe in every city on och sorivate dates etc. Of course all picks blred 🙂 Tay Tay will never change – she is a famew*ore and Joe doesn’t existe besides be her new toy boy. It is his only way to be famous (sorry I saw moive with him – he isn’t a material for a star. Ch. Tatum is more charismatic actor 🙂 ).
Taylor is still slim but she definitely gained much more than 20 pounds. She carries it well with her frame. No shade. This is probably her natural weight.
She was slimmer than Karlie at one point and you could see bones sticking out in that ‘Bad Blood’ MV. People seem to forget just how emaciated she was during the 1989 era. And she actually said she started to gain weight a few years ago so she had to put in the effort to maintain her weight meaning her super slim frame was by design. Like most popstars in their prime, she probably underate and overexercised.
She’s clearly type A to the max so I wonder if her weight now is a reflection of her truly being happy and letting go a bit or the other side of the coin, being unhappy so she used and still uses food as comfort when she had some very bad press not too long ago. Methinks she struggles with an eating disorder more than anything else as she never covered herself this much (in comparison to her previous style choices). Her clothes are the clothes a naturally thin girl would wear when she’s shook she can’t wear whatever she wants anymore because she’s too obsessed how that comes across to people. She showed off a bigger butt because that’s accepted and sexy in society now but I peeped those high-waisted shorts.
She also puts less effort in her performances (which says a lot since she’s a crap performer) and is visibly more awkward trying to force being sexy in a genre that doesn’t suit her so ends up touching her hair a lot (insecurity) and does 2 knee bends more than usual (this is dancing apparently). But people want to say she’s happy cuz she got a new man that hasn’t witnessed TS’s true workmode.
I don’t think Reputation should have happened, she had other plans with her career but felt forced to address the bad press and it’s reflected how she conducts herself and looks in this era. But TS is type A for life so when she gets over it (girl clearly was hurt and is still hurt by everything that happened to her image), I wonder what she’s going to present and how long Joe will last because she will get bored and will want drama.
Taylor just can’t help herself can she? It’s not enough that she’s happy in her relationship, it’s vital to her brand identity, and probably her own personal self-worth, that everyone else knows it too. Cue her publicist planting a story about how Taylor’s perfect life is perfect. Are we supposed to be jealous, or just run out and buy concert tickets for the tour that is conveniently mentioned near the top of the article?
