I wouldn’t say that last year’s season of Game of Thrones fell off a cliff, but it definitely wasn’t as high-quality as previous seasons. Still, I was somewhat disappointed that GoT was completely shut out of the Golden Globes. I mean, it’s still a massive f–king show! It deserves something? Anyway, here are some photos of some of the cast at the Globes and Globe parties. Emilia Clarke wore this simple MiuMiu gown – I like this, but she should have taken a page out of Zoe Kravitz’s book and accessorized the sh-t out of her simple column dress. This is crying out for big statement earrings!
Emilia also presented at the Globes with Kit Harington, who was probably nursing a monstrous hangover. On Friday, Kit was in a New York bar and he was so smashed that he was trying to start a fight over a pool game or something – go here to read the story and see the video. Little dude was blitzed. On Saturday night, Emilia and Kit attended Sean Penn’s Haiti fundraiser, which is where Brad Pitt bid $120,000 to spend the evening with them (or just Emilia).
Winter is officially here for Brad Pitt. Pitt offered to pay $120,000 to watch an episode of “Game of Thrones” with Emilia Clarke — but he was outbid. Pitt bid six figures to watch a “Game of Thrones” episode with Clarke on Saturday night during a silent auction at Sean Penn’s annual gala for Haiti, held at Milk Studios in Los Angeles, California.
During the charity gala, the auctioneer announced the opportunity to watch an episode with Clarke, who was in attendance at the A-list event, along with her “Game of Thrones” co-star Kit Harington, though the cast members were seated at separate tables. The auction to watch the episode with Clarke started at $20,000, but the race quickly escalated. At one point, the auctioneer yelled out “Is the King of the North here?!” But as it turned out, Harington had stepped out of the gala to go to the restroom.
Meanwhile, Pitt bid $80,000 to watch an episode of “GOT” with Clarke. Then he outbid himself to $90,000. When Harington came back into the room, the actor offered to also sit in on the episode viewing. And that’s when Pitt raised his own bid to $120,000. In the end, Pitt was outbid by a gala-goer who ended the auction at $160,000.
Hm… do you think Brad Pitt is just obsessed with dragons, or is there something else going on? He’s rich, for sure, so blowing that kind of money isn’t a huge deal. But still – that’s a lot of money just to spend an hour with the Mother of Dragons.

Emilia looked like a million bucks. Probably the best she’s ever looked. Her smile could light up a whole city.

I think she looks so much better as a warm, deep brunette, as opposed to this platinum. This is harsh and aging.
Dress is nice but I agree the color of the hair doesn’t suit her.

I beg to differ. She is one of those women who look so much better sans make up and natural. Or she has the worst stylist and make up artist in LA. Honestly, i have not seen her make up not clothing compliment her beauty outside of GoT.
Did anyone catch when Seth Meyers introduced them he said they were from Star Wars and not GoT?? Did he genuinely mess that up or was that a joke of some kind that just went over my head??
Seth said she was from Star Wars(Solo). He also announced the name of the show Kit is staring in now(can’t remember it). I think Seth was just mentioning their current/upcoming projects.

The dress fits her like a glove. Even if it wasn’t my favorite of the night, I’m giving her stylist major kudos for the fit. That is a dress that allows for no mistakes. Emilylooks great, and Kit and she were very cute together.
She looked great in the dress, and I actually like the choice of no accessories. A slightly more clean, simple, and somber approach, considering the reason they all wore black.

A big pendant ended Y-style necklace with a bright gemstone, rather than one that mimics the cut of the bodice of her dress. Very unimaginative.
It’s not my favorite dress but it looks great on her. I’m not a fan of the blonde hair on her, however, she’s got a smile like a million bucks. So she gets an A+ from me last night.
As for the show, the quality has dipped quite a bit. I get that it’s a massive show, doesn’t mean that GoT should just get awards thrown at them for that reason. If that’s case, where’s the The Walking Dead’s awards (another show that really took an alarming dip in quality).
I dislike the blonde hair. A ton. She is a beauty, her hair a medium Carmel color goes better with her skin tone.
@mom I had the exact same thought about The Walking Dead. GOT’s last season was one of the weakest of the season. The writing was so off.
The Walking Dead is the same. Its almost like these writers have completely forgotten what made these series great.
It was never the over the top special effects or crazy stories, it was always the character development and the nuances of the characters in extraordinary circumstances

They look really nice together. GOT has suffered from them making it less political and less episodic, and making the episodes shorter. They should have kept the longer scenes and more going on in Kings Landing. Still, a great series.
I doubt he would be after her this publicly. He probably likes her enough to bid, but that doesn’t really mean anything, since he could have topped that 160k if he really wanted a date. The other item mentioned, a painting, went for 90k, so these are standard biddings there. They’re rich and it’s for a good cause, so let them have it.
I have the same theory and not because I am against Brad dating.
I’m not against him dating either (if anything, I think it’s time for both him and AJ to move on). I’m just wondering if gossip mags aren’t – again – jumping ahead a bit. I’m sure Brad Pitt doesn’t lack possibilities to arrange a meeting with Emilia Clarke if he’s into her. This just seems a bit too public.
I have a theory he was bidding on behalf of one of his older kids, and to raise $ for a friend’s cause.

I think her smile looks great. But I disagree, I think GoT deserves the shut out. I am a HUGE fan. I’ve read all the books and watched all of the episodes. This season was
really lacking a lot of the character development that have made previous seasons so wonderful. Also, as much as I love Emilia, she is one of the weaker actors on the show and having so much focus on Daenerys storylines did not really help.
She looked good here – this is one of her better red carpet looks but agree that the hair, makeup and accessories could have been better. Some eye catching coloured bling (see Zoe Kravitz who looked amazing) would have made a big difference.
Agree dress looks great on her, but no on the styling.

I think the hair is amazing. I’ve always liked her aaa blond.
I think Emilia is one of those women who looks amazing as a brunette or a blonde. Dark hair with blue eyes definitely pops more and is my favourite combo on anyone! With blonde hair, I think she looks better with less makeup like in GOT. Her natural look carries her through.
Again I am going to be the dissenter in the flock — sometimes I find her striking, others (like this) I struggle to find what the big deal is. The blonde fried bob does nothing for her features and yes, she has a beautiful figure and the dress is fitted to perfection – it isn’t memorable, or beautiful, or….??
Perhaps my expectations for Mother of Dragons is too lofty.
