Angelina Jolie in Ralph & Russo at the Critics Choice Awards: feathered nonsense?

23rd Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hanger

Angelina Jolie attended last night’s Critics Choice Awards because First They Killed My Father was nominated for Best Foreign Film. I had to look it up online to see if the film won – it did not – because the Critics Choice Awards were shambolic and disorganized. I guess it doesn’t really matter – Angelina is just enjoying the ride, and she’s not going to these awards shows to win, she’s just going to support her film and have some fun. Incidentally, she was also nominated for a BAFTA this week (for Foreign Film).

Angelina attended the Critics Choice Awards with writer Loung Ung, who wrote the memoir First They Killed My Father. They had fun posing together on the carpet! It was cute. Not so cute? Angelina’s style. I mean… I have this idea of Angelina, that when she’s really trying to be glamorous, her idea of glam is kind of tacky and showgirl. This Ralph and Russo dress is kind of a mess, with the big feathered bust. Angelina paired it with the worst pair of satin bridesmaid’s shoes ever. Still, everything from the neck up is lovely.

Meanwhile, the tabloids this week are trying to start a rumor that Angelina is getting involved with a Cambodian filmmaker named PraCh Ly. Jolie’s people shut it down to People.

Angelina Jolie is single and not interested in dating, a source tells PEOPLE.

“She isn’t dating anyone and won’t be for a very long time. She is focused on her children and their needs,” the source says.

Recent rumors linked Jolie to Cambodian lyricist and filmmaker PraCh Ly, but the source tells PEOPLE that the rapper “is a friend.” “She respects his work,” the source adds.

[From People]

Sure. I believe that right now, she’s just focused on the kids and their schedules and all of that. But in a year? I do hope that she starts dating at some point. Do it for the gossip, please, Angelina.

I have to admit this dress is weird but it is funny on her. She feels comfortable and smiles. Good

    • toDaze says:

I don’t read “comfortable” from AJ at all. The hemline looks awkward, maybe it should have been weighted? It hangs there so stiffly, and not cut on a bias, why? Anyway, I can’t date either- as a sole parent w a difficult ex, it just feels so arduous- dating again. Plus the kids just need stability.

  3. Annabelle Bronstein says:

I kind of love the look. She looks light and playful, which I think is an attitude that has been sorely missing in her latest attire.

Not so cute for me: I still loathe the idea that she feels she can’t be both focused on her kids and casually dating/investing in herself and her needs. Like: can’t we as mothers do both? They aren’t mutually exclusive. Jen Garner feeds into this tired trope as well.

    • Esmom says:

I don’t know if that’s a tired trope — I know plenty of women who date and have a family. I also know some who have zero interest in dating. Everyone is different.

      • Annabelle Bronstein says:

Read the statement again. “She isn’t dating anyone and won’t be for a very long time. She is focused on her children and their needs” [over her own]. There’s a clear implication here that if she were dating, she wouldn’t be putting the children’s needs first. Maybe these statements are more of a dig at Brad? But it’s definitely a concerted effort to show Angelina as a “good mom.”

And I wonder how many of your friends aren’t dating *because* they are moms. My single mom friend who refuses to date does so out of the misguided belief that moms shouldn’t be in the dating scene or that her needs no longer matter. She doesn’t want to be seen as a “bad mom” more than she wants to meet her own needs. I think that’s sad.

      • Esmom says:

AB, I hear you but I don’t think the single moms I know who aren’t interested in dating aren’t meeting their own needs. They have full lives outside of their kids with careers and hobbies and extended family and friends. They’re spending time, taking vacations with girlfriends, who maybe give them all they need emotionally at this point in time. Some people can go for a long time, indefinitely maybe, without sex and romance. I also know from a couple single moms that decent dating prospects are pretty slim, lol. I don’t fault them for not wanting to settle for just anyone just to have a date or relationship. I find it more empowered then sad, actually.

      • Bellaboo says:

Annabelle, I’m not trying to be snarky, but I’m assuming you aren’t a mom. Taking care of my children IS what brings me the most joy in life. It is innate. Not everyone “needs” a man or women to feel fulfilled. It’s not about trying to look like a saintly mom. I don’t care what anyone thinks about my parenting.

      • Annabelle Bronstein says:

@Esmom, that’s great that your single mom friends are empowered. Most single moms in our society are not.

Not to get all preachy about it but (pulls out soapbox) 83% of single parents homes in the US are single mothers. Women still do all the heavy lifting re: child rearing, even when they also work outside the home (which most also do, even though they are statistically underemployed). About a third of these single mom homes are food insecure.

I just always return to the quote by RBG: “women will only have true equality when men share with them the responsibility of bringing up the next generation.”

**none of this really has anything to do with Angelina Jolie at all. But being a single mom is hard af, even if you’re AJ.

      • oh-dear says:

@AnnaBelle – so true. In the research world that heavy lifting is called the second shift. Most women have a second shift after the ‘workday’ is done, whether it is being a stay at home mom or working outside the home.
She may have chosen that phrasing to indicate she focusing on her kids because they are going through a difficult split in their family and have relationship issues with their father whose behaviour seems to have been problematic. A lot of parents don’t bring other people into their nuclear family until that hurt has healed and been more resolved. I think she spends her free time doing projects she enjoys with people who are survivors.

      • Esmom says:

AB, This discussion started out as “AJs not interested in dating, she’s giving all of herself to her kids at the expense of her own needs.” That’s what I was responding to, with stories of my single mom friends who don’t feel the need to date. I didn’t say that single parenting wasn’t extremely hard for them, it is. Adding financial difficulties to the mix just ratchets up the stress, of course, but that wasn’t the point of the post or my reply. It sounds like you’re now saying not that dating is a way to “focus on your own needs” but it’s a way to land a partner who can help with parenting.

    • Des says:

I mean she had what sounds like an intense and troubled relationship spanning a decade with one of the most famous men on the planet, drawing incredible scrutiny as it ended in flames with her children’s privacy and mental health on the line. She’s still negotiating the end of that relationship and appears to be trying to raise her six kids while her ex tries to maintain sobriety. None of this is easy for a civilian, much less a woman whose every move is analyzed to death. She sat next to Chris Hemsworth and people were trying to start shit that she’s having an affair with him, for God’s sake! I don’t blame her for shutting down for a bit.

      • Andrea1 says:

She sat next to Chris Hemsworth and people were trying to start shit that she’s having an affair with him, for God’s sake! I don’t blame her for shutting down for a bit.
@Des thank you so much. The intense hate and scrutiny this woman faces is so out of this world. She wears black people complain she wear white now peopke are still complaining its so ridiculous!

      • truth hurts says:

Well the reason she had to put his statement out I think is the CH statement on Ellen. She was responding to him kinda shady. I love it. She is basically saying I’m not dating and certainly not Chris.
She took this stance before when she divorced BBT she said she wasn’t dating just having she and lovers meet her for a while in a hotel and she would go back to her son. She also added when people acted like she killed someone by saying women have been doing this for years and she is right. Only some bring many over their kids. I think that is awesome and she shows respect for her kids and the sanctity of their home. And it is no ones business.
Unlike Papa who wants people to think every woman alive is hounding him. His PR is in overdrive with the string of women they want to link him too yet he is trying to carve out more time for the kids. Really?
The kids are not ready to have anyone introduced to them as their new daddy when they are still in counseling with their real one.
As for the dress..too much up top but Angelina has never been known for her style and doesn’t try to hard. If you want to see shite look at that frock Nicole kidman is wearing.

      • ElleC says:

@ Des – You’ve nailed it! Girl has probably had her fill of men for a lifetime and just wants a damn break. After such a public and ugly break up, jumping into anything with a new dude would seem like a red flag to me…

Also, what’s with people acting like it’s some walk in the park to juggle raising six kids with international humanitarian/film commitments and negotiating a divorce? Even with all the nannies, assistants, cooks, lawyers etc. it doesn’t seem crazy she would just want to chill solo in her downtime.

      • Veronica says:

        So much truth here.
Also, and I’m probably going to get beaten up for this, but I’m not sure the Heidi Klum form of parenting, with serial live-in boyfriends, is healthy for your kids. It may be fine in some instances with some kids, but I think it would be upsetting to many kids. And that is the worry of a single mom dating – you get serious, the guy stays over, maybe you move in together, kids get attached, and if it doesn’t work, the kids lose a person they were attached to. So I understand why many women either don’t date while their kids are young, or approach it very cautiously. Because it’s not just your life dating will disrupt – it is your innocent babies’ hearts and mental health at stake, as well.
Add in my belief that AJ was in a deeply unhealthy relationship with Pitt, in which she enabled his bad behavior, and perhaps she is doing work on herself so this doesnt happen again. Because from accounts I read from that plane, AJ didnt call police – she let it go. It was someone else on that plane who did, and she was backed into a corner – either dump Brad or maybe also lose custody of the kids, at least temporarily. I really think she kept hoping for the best, kind of like J Garner. And that wasnt in the best interest of her kids. Obviously.
So I think it’s best for her and her kids to stay off dating scene for quite a while. Im glad for them to hear that.

      • GreenTurtle says:

Yeah, she’s had this deep sadness about her for awhile now. There’s everything Des said – the break-up, the intense/troubled relationship itself, trying to raise her kids, and producing movies. There was the cancer scare and her mom dying… Also, doing humanitarian work in the places she does and looking suffering and tragedy in the face takes its toll on the psyche for sure. I think she’s pretty impressive, and who she is or isn’t dating is about the least interesting thing about her.

    • Midigo says:

You are so right! Brad’s camp has been leaking for months about him “quietly seeing other women – but nothing serious” (probably to keep him in the sexiest-men-alive- pool which is a sound strategy for his career) while Angie has to immediately stop any rumors about possible love interests. Her lawyers / PR probably think it’s necessary for protecting her reputation as a mother. It’s really disheartening. Not to mention she is in the sexiest-human being- alive group as well and this is not the smartest move career-wise.

    • Anastasia says:

I think it’s perfectly ok for a woman to say no, I want to focus on my kids and myself right now. Why MUST she date, too?

      • Anastasia says:

Oh and not dating DOESN’T mean she isn’t focusing on herself. What is this weird thing where a single woman has to date? It’s so baffling to me. God forbid if anything should happen to my husband or our marriage, I don’t see myself dating for a loooong time. There are other ways to take care of your own needs. Dating itself can be nerve-wracking and exhausting for a normal person, let alone a huge celebrity.

        CB: Sorry for two posts.

      • Annabelle Bronstein says:

Of course it’s ok not to date? No one said otherwise.

She never says she’s focusing on herself, just her kids. That’s intentional.

      • Embee says:

My thoughts parallel yours: the reality is that dating, while invigorating under some circumstances, can be draining. When I became a single mom I had NO energy to date. I actually forced myself to go on a date with a great guy and he was sooooo sweet but I had nothing to give. I took a couple of years, raised my kid and work, drank champagne on Fridays with a good friend and her husband an eventually became interested in dating again. I even spent a couple of EXTREMELY lonely nights (I was alone for years but only a couple nights did I feel lonely and it was hell) but it wasn’t enough to spur me to date. Also, Angie is going through menopause. Her hormones are not primed for romance right now. Not saying menopausal women cannot be sexy!

      • Amy says:

But the statement says she’s focusing on her children, not on herself and her children. I don’t think she has to date either, I don’t think anyone has to date, but it seems like she her PR is always very child focused. She’s not dating bc she’s focusing on her kids, with the implication being that if she were dating it would somehow mean she doesn’t care enough about her kids.

Part of what I find annoying in general about statements from celebrities about why they’re not dating is that there always seems to need to be some “valid reason” besides just “I don’t want to date right now.” And it seems like women are expected to answer these questions more often than men. And that women are expected to not only just not date for awhile, but to make sure they give the “right” reason for it, which is almost always supposed to be about their kids.

      • Annabelle Bronstein says:

@amy yes, this exactly. It’s not even about Angelina per se, I just find it interesting that even someone like Angelina Jolie toes the “for the children” line and rarely strays. It’s a fine line that only women are expected to walk.

    • Shannon says:

I totally agree, and I wholeheartedly see what you’re saying. That being said, when a breakup is especially painful, sometimes I think you just want to take a time out. At least, I’m in that phase right now. I went through an awful breakup of a long-term relationship and 20 years ago, I would have been all about finding a jumpoff stat. Now, though, I don’t have that urge yet. I’m in rural Kentucky, so there’s not really much to be had man wise anyway, and I’m just kind of hunkering down with my kid. Somehow, it feels safer right now. I’m not so sure I could handle more pain straight out of the gate so maybe that’s where they’re at – like, it’s not so much about the kids as it is about protecting yourself. But yes, a woman ABSOLUTELY can date and have children and be a good mother.

      • Annabelle Bronstein says:

Aww hugs to you!! I don’t blame you one bit mama. It’s totally natural to retreat to your shell after a traumatic breakup. I also think it’s a great time to refocus energy on yourself as well as your child.

At the same time, there’s nothing wrong with getting back in the saddle if/when you’re ready. Or not. No judgment either way 😉

    • Narak says:

Maybe she’s just taking a man-break. It’s a luxury to have the time to focus on work, kids, yourself without thinking about how a new guy might change things.
      She looks happy.

      • Trashaddict says:

This. Dating requires energy, and a single mom would definitely need a guy who has his act together, who she can trust around her kids (big worry there), and who will not become just another child to take are of.
When I look after my kid’s needs, I am taking care of me. Because I feel good when they feel good, and they’re my legacy to the world.

    • yiza says:

I love it too! But I think my taste in gowns is really pedestrian.

    • Lilly says:

I love the look too. I did the same with my kids and not dating. Some people do manage, it’s true. But, I’ve worked a lot with adolescents for years and saw too many pulled apart by new relationships and when the kids should have come first they didn’t – even with a healthy parent. Oxytocin maybe? Plus some traumatic things happened in our family and I just wanted to focus on them. My daughter did a high school year in Germany and lived with a family where the dad was doing the same after their mom passed away. To each their own. Parenting is sometimes a groping for what may work best.

    • Deets says:

That wording choice bothered me a touch as well.
I don’t like that women who focus on their children to the exclusion of all else are looked at like they are the pinnacle of womanhood. It’s this weird martyr positioning. ‘I care for my kids too much, too focused on them to attend my need

It’s a choice, and just as valid as other choices. Although I would argue it’s detrimental to a person to find all their happiness and joy from one task that ends to an extent when the child is an adult.
Being a mom isn’t like being a painter. There is a finite amount of time you can be a mother for. And it bothers me that as society we still require women are mothers first. Something never .required of men.

  4. GO says:

I really like that dress, actually.

  5. Ophelia says:

It might began as a cute idea on paper… but this is not for a lady who is already big busted. It is supposed to give an illusion of a bust for those who are flat chested (like me), but someone who already has volume up there, it just makes the feather look awkwardly “floating”. Or like an overgrowth.

Still, at least she’s not her usually black sacky self, so count that as a small blessing?

Ralph and Russo is only good to her once–incidentally, her first public showing after her mastectomy at Brad’s premiere of WWZ. The rest have been misses.

However, are we not going to talk about Luong Ung’s fashion sense? I feel that her red carpets have been very successful and not boring like her friend’s.

  6. Talie says:

Her next man will definitely be someone outside entertainment.

I’m curious to see if the breadcrumbs Lainey keeps dropping about Brad & Sienna pan out.

  7. Babs says:

So unflattering. Well at least it shows all those dreadful outfits choices she made lately are not to be put on the kids. Also, pointy shoes, really?

  8. Beth says:

What’s with her wearing all of these feathered dresses lately? It’s kind of tacky, and she should try wearing clothes with color, not just boring black, white, and grey. Those shoes look like a painful nightmare

  9. SM says:

In a weird way I like it. Deff more than her GG gown. Her look sort of suggests she is out for some fun. Too bad they did not put Chris Hemsworth and his more goergoeus and funny boyfriend Taika Waititi next to he now. Then it would really be fun. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bd2Lzamng4e/

  10. Becks says:

I don’t like the shoes. Bridesmaids shoes is right.

For the dress itself, on any other actress I probably wouldn’t like it, but I actually think it works for Angelina. And it’s such a nice change from the baggy long black dresses she has been wearing lately. And her makeup and hair looked great.

  11. Dani says:

I like this look on her actually

  12. prissa says:

I love the dress! The shoes are a no, but this is a fun departure from the sack dresses she normally wears. Beautiful!!

  13. Erinn says:

She looks great when she smiles. She really has such interesting, pretty features.

I also love that shade of lipstick on her – it’s super flattering.

I find the feathers kind of strange – but you know what? In a weird way I almost like it? I like that she’s trying something different – and it’s not just a black sack style dress. So cheers to her for stepping into a difference comfort zone as far as that goes. I’d love to see her in a deep emerald green shade – I think that color would be stunning on her.

  14. Andrea1 says:

Drop dead gorgeous! Yes I love her statement to people her hands are pretty full right now I’m very sure dating is the last thing on her mind

  15. Esmom says:

I don’t mind the feathers but I really don’t like the asymmetrical hem, yuck. And I’m not sure about white, although it is s nice change from black. Her hair and makeup is lovely, though.

  16. Rosey says:

I love this look on Angie. It’s different for her and she looks happy.

  17. MostlyMegan says:

Tacky dress, bad accessories and styling. With that face though… does it really matter?

  18. mellie says:

I think I’d like it better if the dress just went straight to the floor and maybe had a bit of a slit, just a column type dress. Maybe some red shoes would be better, but I like the top of it and her hair/makeup look very pretty.

  19. Maya says:

Gorgeous women who have maintained a 16 years friendship – way to go ladies.

I want Angelina to get together with my fav Keanu Reeves. Man they will be amazing together and heads will explode as well..

  20. Lenn says:

It looks a bit tacky and is not very flattering.

  21. MaryJo says:

If the hem was straight it would be a good dress on her. The shoes are awful, but she is so beautiful and seems so happy, who cares about the shoes?

  22. NOLA says:

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I prefer the sack dresses. This dress is wearing her. At least in the sack dresses, she looks more ethereal. In this one, I think she looks almost frail.

  23. Zephyr says:

Not going to lie -I love as in really love the dress on her the shoes and her whole vibe in the look

  24. halliego says:

this dress gives her a linebacker top and a toothpick bottom. awful.

  25. thaisajs says:

Look, at least she’s not wearing another black sack. I’m not wild about this one, but at least it fits her and she doesn’t look like she’s heading to a wiccan meetup.

  26. Alexandria says:

I loved that she wore something different although I don’t love the dress per se. Think if it had a longer hem it would instantly look better. She’s giving me Russian trophy wife vibes in the first pic though…

  27. Hildog says:

This is a slight improvement from that black, feathered monstrosity she wore to the globes…But only slightly. I love you Angie, but your style is starting to remind me of Orange Voldemort- stuck in the 80′s

  28. Naptime says:

Stunning, I love this on her

  29. B n A fn says:

All I’m saying, Angelina looked very pretty last night and she tried something different in that dress. I’m liking the top but not the bottom. Also, she looked relaxed and not stressed, jmo.

  30. tracking says:

It frames her pretty face nicely, but otherwise is not flattering. She needs a new stylist STAT.

  31. LittlefishMom says:

The only thing I don’t like is the angle cut. But I don’t dislike it. She looks super happy.

  32. Shannon says:

One thing I can tell from this site is that you & I have totally different tastes in fashion, Kaiser – probably your taste is better lol! But I absolutely love this! OK, I do hate the shoes. But otherwise, I love her in white, love her earrings, I personally don’t do feathers, they make me sneeze, but I even like the feathers on her. This is the best I’ve seen her look in a while. Am I mistaken, or didn’t she have something feathery at the Golden Globes? Maybe she’s going through a phase lol

  33. Paisley says:

Angie’s dress is gorgeous! Wish I could pull it off.

  34. Shak says:

What a shocking mess she looks.

  35. Other Renee says:

I think she looks lovely and totally pulls off this look. Love the dress.

  36. Tallia says:

I abhor this dress, but I am so happy to see her in something other than black or a sack that I am totally fine with it.

  37. A says:

I like the dress, and it’s also a nice departure from the black sack outfits.

  38. hogtowngooner says:

It’s certainly more playful than her usual black sack attire she normally goes for. Her hair and makeup are excellent, though. That shade of lipstick looks fantastic on her.

  39. Penelope says:

I actually like the dress on her (but not the terrible shoes). She basically has zero style sense imo but this somehow works.

  40. Ankhel says:

Her hair and makeup looks lovely, but she is so, so thin. These photos are more flattering than others I’ve seen, yet the backsides of her arms and her elbows are still scary looking.

  41. Valiantly Varnished says:

I love feathers. And I am unapologetic about it. I like the dress. Its funny though: people love to rag on Angie for wearing black all the time and then when she doesn’t they rag on her anyway.

  42. Freddy Spaghetti says:

I’m very ill with a disease that’s causing my body to cannibalize itself, and my arms and legs look like hers. I don’t like the sack dresses, but now I get why she wears them. Her face is as gorgeous as ever, but she’s definitely not well. I don’t know her medical history aside from what she’s written and talked about, but with six kids, I hope she’s under a doctor’s care.

  43. Candies says:

She looks nice to me. She is looking good lately IMO ….
as of brad…if he wants to date, i don’t know why that’s being considered bad, regardless of his their kids being in therapy or not. Besides its 2 years passed. Dating is a personal choice no?

Angie will have hard time with shared custody because kids are her kind of means also as much as she love her kids. (be honest) it has really a little got to do with alcohol at this point IMO.. If it was JenniferG and the likes won’t let Ben A etc.. Let or want like that. We would hear how they want to remove the kids etc..no?

    • Nope says:

It’s not so much about Brad dating as much as its about his PR team trying to make it seem like he’s still the biggest catch and making Angie look bad by saying that it’s her fault he can’t see them. Yet if Angie were rumoured to be dating, a lot of public opinion would be poor of her when she has to take care of her six kids.

It’s also the fact that he’s constantly seen going out and doing stuff (which is fine good for him) but he says he doesn’t seem them enough but apparently keeps his children indoors the entire time they’re with him? It’s just strange narratives his team is putting out that in reality are kind of reaching a point where they are becoming pretty obvious it’s all just intense PR.

      • Candies says:

Um, nobody will attack Angie for dating right now if she wants. She doesn’t have to it may be even easier for her not to with all there going…..j.lo etc dated with kids right? though whole lot less number of kids and a different situation with more high profile and hard divorce etc..
I don’t see why it offending to you that he is trying to make ‘himself’ look a catch ..he can.
Also if he wants he can do behind doors parenting . she can as she wanted. She doesn’t need to be criticized for it either . the JP kids are not much seen kids adding both parents are famous actors.

    • Nope says:

I’m not offended. I think it’s poorly done PR but that hardly offends me. You asked a question. That was the answer. I was merely answering your question.

People are constantly criticising her for every little thing she does. She takes the kids out to much, too skinny, wears too much black, crazy pushed brad away, horrible mom, lets her poor girls wear whatever they want, etc. She would absolutely be criticised for dating. And it would result in a response about how she needs to focus on her children through this difficult time. Which no one is saying about brad now.

  44. Nibbi says:

i actually like the fluffy feathered top of the dress, but i feel like the hemline is absolutely tragic. it needs to be floor-length and more flowy. she looks kinda naked and awkward, which i hate, bc she’s the most %*µ beautiful woman in the world.

something nice: i do think she & luoung are super cute and fun, posing with their backless dresses that way, being so clearly good friends.

  45. bunnyears says:

It’s an interesting dress? Hit the mark on the hair and makeup, just not sure on that dress. I am curious. In the past few years it seems the entire shape of her lips has changed, or is it just me? I don’t remember them ever having such a defined shape, they were pillowy with no real hard lines and now they seem so much wider across and with a defined cupid’s bow that I dont remember being there at all.

google her lips through the years.hardly any change.
if she’d prefer house a little something to maintain her lips more or less the same, I think she’s entitled. her big lips are her most famous feature. Mine have become a little smaller with age, I checked hers and she did have a defined cupid’s bow. check different poses.

I really liked this dress on her. I think she looked. Great and like she was enjoying herself . The kids are great but it’s nice to have some grown up time

  47. I am bored says:

In other news sources say she is not dating. Err how is she going to meet someone new with Brad Pitts longtime friend/guard following her every move. He is stalking her on the globes carpet and this critic choice carpet.

  48. Lisa says:

I think Anglina looks beautiful in this dress. It’s great to see her in a different color than she has been wearing lately.

  49. Selma says:

Did you read that she is turning Vivian into a boy as well, just like Shiloh?

  50. Julie says:

Call me a showgirl, but I LOVE this look on her. It’s so refreshing to see her out of the black sack funeral looks she tends to gravitate towards. This dress looks absolutely stunning on her and is quite possibly one of the prettiest outfits I think we’ve seen her in for a long time.
Also, that shade of lipstick might be the best choice in the history of choosing the right shade of lipstick.

  51. themumy says:

How nice to see her in a non-sack dress, though! And I usually don’t like white dresses either, but it looks good on her. The lipstick is a great color. Her styling is great.

  52. karen says:

meh; i’ve seen so many worse dresses. is it setting the world on fire? nope. but she looks gorgeous, and it does the job. people give her such shit for not being a fashionista, but she’s proved for decades that’s not really her interest.

  53. NLopez says:

She looks fabulous. I love the whole look.

  54. Jag says:

I don’t like the shaping of the hemline of the dress, but otherwise, she looks beautiful. Of course, the shoes could be changed as well.

  55. L says:

What if the white feathery bodice had a long black skirt. That would be elegant.

  56. Twinkle says:

I think she looks beautiful and glamorous! I like it when she looks like a movie star. I hate it when she wears serious and dowdy, business type clothes.

  57. Nicole Savannah, GA says:

Usually hate feathers, this is lovely.

  58. Kelly says:

I don’t know why everybody assumes that Angie not dating equals Angie not hooking up. When Maddox was a baby and before Brad, Angie went on a night show and very clearly stated that she hooks up when she feels the need, and it’s with trusted men. And why everyone assumes that 2 1/2 years after a hysterectomy she’s suddenly a sexless being. Are we to assume that she didn’t have sex with Brad after the surgery? Angie’s always been very open about being a sexual being, and I think she’s privately caring for her needs.

  59. ZoeM says:

I wish Angelina would date a woman again. It would be rad to see her with a girlfriend, it’s been too long!

  60. Capers says:

I read on some comment board she has/had deals with Target, Walmart, Cheetos, Baskin Robbins, etc., like when she’s photographed at the place or with the products in her kids’ hands. Does anyone know this for sure? Just curious if anyone knows she does do very subtle advertising deals in that way. Sounds inaccurate but any insiders who know the celeb deal please shed light if you’re able. I know Katie Holmes does a lot of these but it’s usually obvious.

    • Nope says:

Doubt it. She has obvious ones like the perfume, Louis vuitton, I believe her sun glasses tend to be from the same designer. Things that the general public would desire because they see her wearing them. It’s something that she can sway people to buy when they otherwise may not. But no one is going to go to target or Wal-Mart because she buys her toothpaste there. You’re going to go regardless. In fact, the last time she went to target, it was one blurry picture taken by the only person who seemed to notice/care she was there. That’s not exactly a great endorsement. And you hardly see her carrying much of anything when she’s out. Bodyguards and nanny carries things for her.

Her advertising deal are high end items. If she does by some odd chance have it with target or baskin Robbins (I’ve only seen pictures of her there once), then she’s doing a horrible job.
