I loved Dakota Johnson on Ben and Kate, felt sorry for her in the Fifty Shades movies (that first one was the least sexy sex film I’ve ever seen, I never caught the sequel) and flat-out adored her at the Golden Globes (I would have tried to sneak a look at Angelina too). Dakota has a new man in her life and I can only hope their chemistry is stronger than she has on screen with Jamie Dornan.
Dakota and Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin enjoyed a romantic dinner at Soho House in Malibu, California on Friday night. A source told PEOPLE that the 28-year-old actress and the 40-year-old singer “arrived together in Chris’ car. They met up with friends and had a fun night. They both seemed very happy. They were flirty, and also left the restaurant together.” The couple were also spotted strolling together on the beach with their arms around each other on Sunday.
US Magazine reported that these two were “official” a few weeks ago, and they were seen together back in October grabbing some sushi and being “cozy, laughing and affectionate” with each other. Dakota also was seen behind the sound board during a Coldplay concert in Argentina in November.
I hope this is a happy coupling, but I care more about whether Dakota can get some better film roles. She has demonstrated that she’s got talent, I just hope she can find some decent projects.

I agree that Dakota has talent. And apart from some age gap, there’s nothing wrong with this couple. He is a good guy, despite his music. She seems lovely

I always thought he and Goop were the oddest match. I get a similar odd vibe from him and Dakota, I’m not sure why. Maybe I think he should be with a musician? Or maybe I just shouldn’t care, lol, I guess odder matches have been known to work.

It always cracks me up when people complain about boring couples as if they get into relationships for the public approval.
She gives me Alexa Chung vibes, so this coupling makes sense.
Chris always seems to need to date a trophy — as in, the most buzzed about actresses, models, what have you. Like how he humblebragged about Gwyneth being engaged to Brad Pitt, but he was secretly thought really highly of himself because of it. I find it really unattractive.

Me too. He is the sort of man that would set alarm bells ringing for me, not just for the ego but because he pretty much admitted he was emotionally unavailable. He seems to need to constantly be in a relationship, jumping from one to another, often with what appears to be ‘overlap’ and an inability to be faithful. Not my bag of fish at all.
Well, he was in a huge band that traveled a lot and then working on new albums. HIs band and keepiing it growing and thriving and traveling 200 days out of the years every other year or so can make you emotionally unavailable.
I don’t see where he jumps from relationships to relationships. He’s been on dates. He was wih Jennifer for awhile He was with that blond actress and then it was over quickly. He hadn’t been seen with an actress or girlfriend for at least a year anywhere.
Chris is extremely talented as a songwriter, very British,nice-looking, great body,and has a low-key charm about him, and is kind. I see why women like him. It’s easy to fall for creative type like that, lead singer to arenas.
Personally, I dont find him attractive, nor am I a fan of the music but he seems bright and I know he supports some good causes.
There were rumours of multiple affairs when he was married to Paltrow. J Lawrence was allegedly incensed because there was overlap with A Wallis, who he was with after her for over 2 years. He and Wallis were at a wedding together in June 17, split but then were re-united in August, supposedly. Who knows for how long but he started seeing D Johnson in October.

Snooze. She is above average attractive by every day standards. Great figure but beyond that it’s nepotism. She’s like Don Johnson w hair to me. And that’s all I see.

Sorry but this relationship is so fake! She’s doing this to get publicity. The last movie in the fifty shades comes out in Feb. 2018.
They’ve been dating since October tho…I’m not understanding the correlation to them dating and pr for the movie. It’s Chris Martin, not some (no offense) hot and popular actor that she’s talking to. People who are going to see this movie would have anyway regardless of who she’s dating. Who someone is dating doesn’t make me want to go see a movie or not, but whatever.
Can’t wait to hear the gossip about Goop’s feelings! Somehow, I don’t see a ladies version of her “modern family brunch” pic forthcoming. 😂
