nan, just because Angie doesn’t make all of her donations public doesn’t mean she doesn’t donate… If Jen wants to have the world know how much she does that’s fine, but I do understand Angelina doesn’t need to share her finances with everyone. Adam Sandler donates a lot of money to charities each year too and he also keeps it to himself. I’m just saying, we don’t know how much they donate and frankly, I think it would be very classy of her if she does donat anonimously.

(I like Jen as well as Angelina, seems that’s quite rare over here… =))

angelina’s a celebrity. she’ll have her fair share of hate, and while i still don’t like her, i do have to give her credit for using her celebrity status to bring awareness to charitable causes.

So adopting 3 kids in seven years is obscene . Is it obscene when Sharon Stone does it? Oh yeah Sharon adopted white blonde kids so thats ok

that run down ex-tomb raider (she got replaced) who do movies where she is always klling people, and doesn;t talk to her father but does around and act like she wanted to save the world and donate ONLY around the time she has a movie coming out can never be like Audrey hapburn. I don’t know why there is such a hatred of working mothers on this board. I keep reading people saying “she has 6 kids, why is she working (and yes her job is as a UN goodwill ambassador here) and not staying home with the kids”.

I don’t know why people expect her to drop everything she does that she is passionate about just because she has kids. She’s lucky she can afford to have that many children and have them cared for. And I’m glad that she has spent some of that money on adopting children who would not otherwise been given that chance.

I don’t think she’s a saint or anything, and I don’t really care if she’s doing it for publicity. As long as she’s doing it, who cares what her reasons are for? She certainly does more and gives more money than any of the other celebrities.

And to the idiot people who were complaining about how she got 14 mil for pictures and spent less than 10 mill for charities need to go back to school and learn how Foundations and endowments work. if you spend the money outright, you don’t gain anything. If you invest the money and spend the interest, you always have money to give to charity. My guess is since she’s financially savy, the money she’s giving to charity goes into the endowment for the Jolie-Pitt foundation.

Ugh. Audrey Hepburn was such a very poor actress and so plain-faced. I do not understand this ongoing fascination with her when there are so many talented and attractive actresses out there to admire. If I were AJ, I’d be deeply offended by any comparison to her. Just yuck!

Interesting interview although it was distracting the way that it was edited so heavily – there was no flow.

I noticed that she pointedly didn’t mention Brad at the end but my impression was that she just didn’t want to give Anne the opening to start gushing (and how Anne loves to gush…) – she wanted to keep the interview focused on refugees. When she’s “talking shop” about the UN she really prefers to keep the interview very much in that territory. And Angelina has always been uncomfortable discussing Brad in interviews. I didn’t see anything different in her response that would make me think they’ve split.
