Star: Tori Spelling is offering to gain weight for a diet endorsement deal

Tori Spelling is usually incredibly fit, which is why it’s noticeable that she hasn’t shed her all baby weight since having her fifth child, son Beau Dean, almost a year ago. She looks great don’t get me wrong she’s just not as small as she usually is. Well it turns out that might be on purpose and not because she’s not working out and dieting obsessively. Star Magazine says that Tori in the process of landing a diet endorsement deal, one she’s been trying to get since having Beau, and that she’s offered to gain more weight if needed so that she’ll have a more dramatic transformation. Here’s their report.

Tori Spelling is considering eating her way out of the red. Almost a year after welcoming her fifth child, son Beau, the cash-strapped star is so frantic to pay down nearly seven figures in tax and credit card debt, she’s willing to put back on her pregnancy pounds in hopes of scoring a weight-loss deal.

“Tori contacted all these diet companies last March and she finally heard back from one company a few weeks ago,” says the insider. “She’s even offered to bulk up to make a bigger impact when she loses it,
but it’s probably too little too late – she gave birth a year ago, no one really cares anymore.”

[From Star, print edition]

Star is right that no one cares anymore. They may have missed the fact by publication time that Tori is advertising some product called “Shake it Baby.” She has a couple of posts on Instagram about it. So this could be the weight loss product they mentioned or she may have had something else in the works and ended up with this weight loss shake deal instead. You know she’s still hustling and angling. We haven’t heard about Tori and her husband’s various debts in a few weeks, but she owes hundreds of thousands to various creditors including banks, credit card companies, the state of California and the US government. Her husband also owes tens of thousands in back child support. Tori is doing whatever she can to earn more money because she clearly doesn’t want to give up her lifestyle.

Tori posted this New Year’s resolution selfie that’s supposed to be self-aware I guess. She talks about her new haircut, her messy house and the fact that she wants to get organized and be on time this year. How about not spending more than she earns, selling off her things, and paying down her debt? She’s got that dead-eyed look of denial and you know that’s never going to change.

New Year. New Week. New Look. . This year I want to follow thru on my resolutions. My husband reminded me this past weekend as we arrived 30 minutes late to an event that one of my resolutions was to be on time. Then yesterday I looked around our living room at our Christmas tree that’s still up, and clothes piled high on our club chair and I reminded myself that another one of my resolutions was to get organized. Change doesn’t happen because we want it. Change doesn’t even happen because we say it. Change happens when we actually start doing it. To remind myself that stepping out of your comfort zone isn’t easy but opens up a world of possibilities personally, professionally, financially, and emotionally I opted for a new “Do”. . This realization came to me at 11pm last night. Whether it came from watching the empowering speech that @oprah gave at the #goldenglobes or simply that my extensions were hanging on by a thread doesn’t matter… I took charge and took action. I gave myself a chop. . Woke up this rainy Monday morning with energy and confidence. Is it the haircut? No, that’s just a reminder that change comes from within. Be the change you want. This is 2018. This is a new week. Start doing what you’ve only till now been saying you’ll do … #no makeup #2018 #WeCantExpectToSeeAChangeIfWeDontMakeOne

    thinking, thinking…meh

  2. Loopy says:

I have seen everyone from Kim K,Amber Rose, Blac Chyna advertising this. I wish her mother would help her out and spare her the embarrassment and the Lady is not going to spend all her money at this point.

    • Lela says:

She makes sooo mcuh money, she has over 1 million followers, she makes $10,000 per ad post and scrolling through her instagram they are ALL ads. If she and her husband were responsible with their money they could be living a nice life but they spend like they are raking in 8 figures instead of the 6-7 they most likely make.

    • Zapp Brannigan says:

I thought her mother paid for everything for the kids, just no cash to Tori or Dean. Tori needs to get rid of her storage units, rent on them must be pretty high and she has quite a few of them. What is so special about Tori or Dean that they cannot just, oh I don’t know, work for a living.

      • PoodleMama says:

        +1

I think her mother does pay for all the kid stuff. Also just because her mother is wealthy doesn’t mean that she is obligated to financially support her able bodied adult daughter and her deadbeat husband. Tori actually makes enough money to live on but chooses to live like she is richer than she is. Her brother got the same amount of money she did when her dad died (and btw most Americans never get ANY inheritance) and doesn’t appear to be perpetually on the verge of bankrupt.

    • broodytrudy says:

A lot of celebs advertise this, so it’s good to mention for anyone wondering that this is essentially a laxative and a diuretic.

  3. Chaine says:

honestly she looks better with the extra weight. It really softens her features & the infamously wonky boob job is not as obvious as it used to be when she was pin thin.

  4. swak says:

Anyone who offers to gain weight just to lose it is either sick or desparate or both.

    • Rachel in August says:

I’ll go with both too. When I saw her picture in the headlines I honestly thought at first that she was pregnant for a sixth time, lol. And I think some of her look is fillers, not all weight gain.

    • Mia4s says:

This. Although it could get worse. She might try to have another baby. That narrative would sell better. Ugh. 🙄

I’m a bit surprised she hasn’t tried to put her kids into show business yet. She makes them pose for photos but so far…or maybe she has tried.

      • imqrious2 says:

While I can’t speak to any talent any one of them may or may not have, the problem with that (and please forgive me, I know they’re kids, but being honest here) they are NOT particularly attractive/cute kids. They all take after their deadbeat father looks-wise.

    • Taxi says:

She’s an irrelevant nutcase who wouldn’t have had any “career” if daddy hadn’t set her up with some work. She isn’t talented enough to have capitalized on the head start & actually achieved anything but notoriety. Big yawn.

    • hogtowngooner says:

It’s really common with D-list reality stars in the UK. They strut on the beach in a too-small swimsuit with their gut hanging out* which gets a shame article in the Daily Mail, then a few weeks later they’ve lost a bunch of weight (usually lipo), and are hawking some diet or fitness DVD. Rinse and repeat.

*not body-shaming, just pointing out the pattern.

  5. Indiana Joanna says:

She sounds absolutely bonkers. To remind herself that she needs to step out of her comfort zone she got a new haircut? Then she throws in Oprah’s GG speech? Clothes are piled high on chairs? She rambles on completely out of touch with her reality.

I agree, her mother needs to pay off her debts, take over all finances and then put her on a strict allowance. To hell with Tori, but the grandchildren are suffering.

    • lucy2 says:

I’m pretty sure her mother takes care of the kids – school, rent, probably even utilities and stuff too. The kids aren’t suffering in that sense.
And if she did bail out Tori yet again and cleared the debt, Tori and Dean would run it right back up again. They are able bodied adults. They need to work and learn responsibility.

  6. Icantremembermyusername says:

Wtf is her useless husband doing? Let him take out the $&@#%^* tree. Good grief.

  7. SlightlyAnonny says:

Hmm…I don’t know if the “Shake it Baby”, FitTummyTeas of the world are going to give her enough money or if she’d appeal enough to the brands. It’s gotta be one of the big 3: WW, Jenny Craig, or NutriSystem. WW has Oprah and DJ Khalid, so not them. I can’t remember the last big celeb for Nutrisystem, was it a football player? Jenny has Marie Osmond but…Tori and Marie could vibe together….I’m going Jenny Craig.

  8. lucy2 says:

So she’s hawking diet stuff online…what’s he doing? That child support isn’t going to pay itself.

She inexplicably has a lot of followers and can probably make pretty good cash for advertising stuff, so I’m not going to fault her for that. But guaranteed they won’t use the money wisely, or do anything else to change their lifestyle to pay their debts.

  9. lisa says:

i think this is a good weight for her face

if i was that company, i wouldn’t trust her to diet it off, i would expect her to go get it sucked out

  10. Cinderella says:

She changes her look often but it doesn’t solve her problems. I try to pull for her because I know she will hustle, but she’s spinning her wheels. It doesn’t take a healthcare professional to know that financial trouble can impact health negatively over time. She’s not getting any younger, and there are 5 kids depending on her and that clown she married.

  11. Teebee says:

Ugh. I know many woman, obviously not celebrities, that behave like Tori. The behavioural markers are so identifiable and so annoying, they trigger so much eye rolling I have to lie down!

Their lives are a mess, self-inflicted, self-fulfilling, but because it is extremely hard work and often involves unpleasant self-awareness to fix, often they turn to inspirational memes, empowering quotes, superficial fixes like a new haircut or a makeover to demonstrate a brand new them… until a week or so later, you hear about the latest disaster (most often relationship related) and this incredulity about how could it happen again, this time was going to be different… they spend a lot of time looking in the mirror of the selfie, but only see what they want to see.

Tori is never going to change. She won’t take herself out of the very industry and environment that perpetuates her problems. Of course her short sighted solutions are going to involve get rich quick schemes, and attention grabbing. She loves it. Even if she had no money issues she’d still be desperate to be in a spotlight. What we all see as humiliating, embarrassing, how-could-she desperation is blissful ignorance to Tori.

You can’t pep talk, provide good guidance or advice to women like this. In one ear, out the other. These are deep rooted issues, there’s no quick fix. And unless they’re willing to truly do the hard work needed to permanently solve all their issues, expect the viscous circle to never break.

  12. Anastasia says:

Does she not have household help?

  13. Chelly says:

I’ve said it so many times before and I’ll say it again. Tori is in this position because of Tori. She likes to pin blame on her parents for not teaching her financial responsibility & while they may not have her brother also grew up in the same household under the same circumstances with a silver spoon in his mouth but he actually grew up. He taught HIMSELF to scale it down. To live within his OWN means. Even becoming a LIFE COACH! Pick up his book, Tori. You can learn a lot from baby brother

    • hogtowngooner says:

Exactly. You can only blame your upbringing for so long before you have to actually take responsibility for your own actions. Tori’s an adult with five children and a step-child to pay for.

It reminds me of LeAnn Rimes saying she “didn’t have the tools” to not cheat on her husband, or to end the relationship with dignity and respect. As if those are things one needs to “learn.”

  14. Ash says:

To Teebee, what is with that?! I thought I was the only one that noticed that. As soon as someone starts overdoing it on inspirational quotes, it usually means there’s some big drama. Unfortunately my life is a big mess sometimes bc I’m so severely ADD, and I get so down on myself about it. But, I still know a new haircut isn’t a new “me” and try to refrain from rambling on social media. Tori seems riddled with mental issues and I hope she seeks guidance. I do! They have got to think of their kids, get it together for them. Good lord, Oprah told you to get you a new do, that’s what she got out of her speech? 🙄

  15. paddingtonjr says:

With the plethora of “self-help” reality shows on TV, mostly seemingly concentrated on OWN, why is she soliciting diet companies? It seems a tough-love life coach show would be in her wheelhouse (trotting hubbie and the kids out on TV and blaming Candy before a national audience!) and might actually help her and her family. And Tori, sweetie, I say this with love: your “problems” are a little greater than lack of organization and time management.
