The only person more stupid than this girl is the idiot that did them. Seriously what tattoo artist tattoos a 18 year old’s face with 3 let alone 56 stars.

Any tattoo artist with a brain would not have touched her – because this is the kind of crap that happens. Even worse he doesn’t get them to sign waivers.

When I was 19 I very seriously intended to get a dermal punch on my ears. I managed to find only one studio in the country that would do it, and they refused to perform the procedure on anyone under the age of 21. It annoyed me at the time, but now I’m 22 and the age limit makes perfect sense.

I think 18 is an appropriate age for getting tattoos and piercings – but the limit for more hardcore modifications – e.g. ones that can’t easily be hidden or removed – definitely ought to be 21.

I agree with previous comments – no respectable/ethical tattoist would tattoo such a young girl on the face. Recently I was thinking about getting one on the BACK of my neck and my tattoist refused and advised me to get it further down on my back. The reasoning? You don’t know how you will feel about it in a few years time.

Viper – That’s interesting. I have the opposite experience with my friends.

I know most artists need to eat, but there is a level of professionalism that would ethically prohibit an artist to ink a hardcore tattoo (anything on the face or hands) on a “virgin”. (Especially one so young.)

There’s a certain connotation and lifestyle that goes with highly visible ink, and most artists with integrity will tell someone to go somewhere else. I mean, if the client really wants it, they’ll find a way to get – just not at a reputable shop.

Which explains the horrible quality of this dumb broad’s ink job.

I mean, the idea itself is offensive to the eyes – but the work is so heavy handed and bad. Really bad. How does he expect to get more work when his most controversial tattoo is so poorly executed.

I mean, it’s horrible work. I’d take one look at his portfolio and smirk, and move on to the next shop.

Irresponsibility on both sides of the tattoo gun.

The tattoo artist should sue her for dragging his name through the mud for a while. She deserves it at this point. I have no sympathy for a girl who lies then sues someone over her own stupidity.

The owner seemed like a cool guy. He actually offered to pay half for the tats removed. She doesn’t deserve anything from him.
