Madonna will take Mercy to the Wailing Wall to introduce her to Kabbalah

Despite some rumors that Madonna was going to give her new daughter Mercy time to adjust /a> to the upheavals and trauma of moving in with a new family, Madonna seems back on her self-absorbed track. According to The Sun’s sources, Madonna is planning on taking Mercy with her for three months of her Sticky & Sweet tour, then they will fly to Jerusalem so Madge can introduce her daughter to Kabbalah. Because that’s how it works in Madge’s mind – her celebrity-cult version of Kabbalah is exactly the same as the Kabbalah practiced by Jewish scholars and mystics in Israel, and exposing Mercy to the Wailing Wall will somehow link up (in little Mercy’s mind) to mommy’s Kabbalah center in New York.

Baby Mercy is a very lucky little girl.

No sooner has she landed in Britain from Malawi than her mum MADONNA is planning the tot’s first holiday.

Madge wants to treat her new daughter and son DAVID BANDA to a trip to see the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. Not your typical week in Majorca building sandcastles, then.

The Queen Of Pop sees the jaunt as an ideal way to introduce Mercy to Kabbalah, the mystical Jewish faith which she has practised for the last ten years.

The holiday is being planned to coincide with Madonna’s final date on her Sticky And Sweet tour in Tel Aviv in three months.

A source said: “Madonna wants to give Mercy enough time to settle in to her new home. By September she feels she will be ready to take the trip without danger of upheaval.”

“The Wailing Wall is a very sacred place for anyone with links to the Jewish faith and she wants all the children to see it.”

Meanwhile, in London, Madonna’s pal STELLA McCARTNEY is busy organising a party to mark Mercy’s arrival.

I get the impression this little girl is going to be spoilt rotten. And why not?

[From The Sun]

That Sun link has pictures of Mercy taken over the weekend, as dozens of people came traipsing in and out of Madge’s London home. Mercy looks totally scared and bewildered, and perhaps Mercy’s adjustment period should be without all of Madonna’s sycophantic friends and without any cults. Just for now. Let Mercy get her bearings, then overwhelm her with all of the people and the red strings.

It’s M, not Em, writer at the Sun. Boy that Sun paper is the biggest embarrassment to the British, I’m sure.

A cult is right. Leave it to dumbass M to be sucked into a cult. These cults are for people who don’t know how to conduct themselves naturally.

Another vapid, empty bubble head is M who finally got a hobby in horseback riding and she can’t even do that right. With all of her money and power in her 20’s and 30’s, M didn’t have a cause to support because by nature she isn’t really a good soul just a lost 6 or 7 year old. She needed counseling and education but took the weasel way out with Kabballah.

It makes me really uncomfortable that Mercy is coming ‘home’ just as her ‘mum’ jets off on a tour. If the baby was the most important thing to you, as Madonna has made it seem with this campaign, wouldn’t you want to take some time getting her acclimatized? London is worlds away from Malawi. English is not Mercy’s first language, is it? Poor little thing. A new family, a new lifestyle, and no stability.

Who is that 80’s refugee in the pink shorts?

and rofl @ texasmom. I was thinking the SAME thing.

Ok, this is a long response but this post is about one of my major pet peeves so here we go.

There are some who believe that if you take a child out of poverty it doesn’t matter what you dump them into, as long as there is a lot of money involved. I completely disagree.
That type of thinking is why we are all in the mess we are in now. The idea that the only thing that should matter to a child, or adult for that matter, is that one day they didn’t have possessions and the next day they did.
If Madonna wanted to help this child she would have done so by helping the village this child lived in not by purchasing her and adding her to the adopted child collection she has started.
I think that these people are shallow and self-absorbed and the reason they do things like adopt, or give birth to children and then go shoot a movie or tour for 3 months is because they honestly don’t see anything but themselves and their own joy.
I’m a former latchkey kid myself and my mother worked because she had to. If she didn’t work 12 hour days we didn’t eat. So when I look back on my childhood there is no animosity because I know that the reason she was not there was because there were bills to pay and when she was there she was a good mother.
However, when all of these children grow up and realize that they didn’t get to go to school everyday and make friends, live in the same house for more than 2 months, or see their parents more than a hour a day they won’t be able to say that their parents did it because they had to. They will say that their parents inflicted all of that pain on their lives because they wanted to. That’s got to hurt. Look at some of the celebrity kids all grown up if you don’t believe me.

LOL @ texasmom – he’s working a look from waaaaaaay back.

The child is going to be scared to death of all these people.

Minge looks like Lohan in that photo.

Madonna is taking Mercy with her on tour. So what’s the problem? They will create a comfortable atmosphere for her. That’s what money does….it gets you whatever you might want or need. It’s natural Mercy looks a little nervous but she will adjust to her new life.

    Here goes the brainwashing BS!

  10. OXA says:

Take her to Chuck E Cheese, she will enjoy it so much more.

Ro: absolutely AGREED!!!! Exactly how I feel.

Why won’t she give that child some peace and quiet so she can adjust?

  12. QB says:

Poor girl , she is surrounded by a bunch of strangers , who probably she does not understand and haves to adjuste to a new lifestyle and instead of taking her home and make her feel comfortable and secure Madonna is going to take her from one place to another and make her practice a religion strange to her.

  13. Sue says:

Ro, I think you are right. Wouldn’t it be better for these celebrities to pour money into a village to change it? Fund a school, establish some sort of industy, do something which will cause a region to become self-sustaining, and then all the children will benefit. Sure, this is great for little Mercy – she hit the gravytrain jackpot. But why Mercy, and not the little girl next to her? Shouldn’t the focus be more on helping on a larger scale rather than rolling the dice and finding just one child to help?
Nonetheless, changing the life of one person, as is said, can change the course of the world. Lets watch little Mercy, and David, and Maddox and – what is the name of Meg Ryan’s daughter?, and on and on. Hopefully, they will be worthy of their good fortune.

Going to Jerusalem “without danger of upheaval”. Let’s hope it’s not suicide bomber season when she gets there….Maybe Jennifer Aniston is not having children because she realizes they don’t match her lifestyle. I wish to hell Madonna had as much insight.

Hmmm…years ago I was in the midst of a spiritual phase and stumbled across kabbala. At the time it was recommended that the esoteric Jewish path was only studied by MEN who had reached the age of 40. As a 20 year old girl I found it deeply offensive that they should exclude anyone from the path. As an older and slightly wiser woman I realise that there are things that you just can’t understand as a youngster. It is like expecting a 5 year old to have the emotional maturity of a 30 year old. It just doesn’t happen. It should still be open to women though 🙂

Anyhow, my point is that these children are too young to be exposed to kabbala. Madge should lay off and let the child settle down a little. It seems to be a real shame.

  16. gg says:

It’s because they aren’t studying the real Kabbalah – this is some made-up version, as I’ve discovered. Along with that pricey $$ “kabballah water” and the red string. Please.
