Megyn Kelly allegedly called a Fox News makeup artist a ‘f–king bitch’ one time

Megyn Kelly address feud with Jane Fonda on NBC's ' Megyn Kelly Today'

Is it fair or unfair to single out Megyn Kelly for being an awful person? I go back and forth on it, I honestly do. Like, the biggest, most spiteful pieces of criticism of Megyn often come from the Rupert Murdoch-owned press outlets, because Megyn jumped ship from Fox News and helped take down Roger Ailes, so people over there hold a grudge. So even though the sourcing is obviously tainted, I end up believing most of it, because Megyn is so outwardly unpleasant, mean, incompetent and bad at her job. NBC is throwing good money after bad trying to make her seem likeable and friendly and it’s not working. And according to the Daily Mail, Megyn has pretty much alienated everyone behind-the-scenes too:

Megyn Kelly is facing a groundswell of grievances not only from staffers at her NBC morning show but from her former colleagues at Fox News as well. Kelly once called a Fox make-up artist a ‘f**king b***h,’ was insensitive to another makeup artist who had a miscarriage and kept a female Kelly File guest clueless while flirting with the men also appearing on air, sources have revealed to DailyMail.com.

‘She is not a woman’s woman,’ the guest told DailyMail.com. ‘She wanted me to be on the back foot and she succeeded. It felt very deliberate as opposed to an oversight.’

Staffer Alexis McKinney was verbally abused by Kelly when she was co-anchor on Fox News morning show, America’s Newsroom.

‘It was a very busy morning and Megyn was getting bounced all over the place because she didn’t have an appointment to get her make-up done,’ one insider told DailyMail.com. ‘By the time she got to the third make-up artist, Alexis, she was upset. Alexis was working on Fox & Friends guests and they all had to be finished before 9am so it was impossible for her to take Megyn. When Alexis told her she didn’t have time to do her make-up, Megyn turned around and called her a ‘f**king bitch.’

Kelly’s shocking outburst and similar grievances about her insensitivity and disrespect in the workplace came to light after a number of employees at both Fox and Kelly’s current home, NBC, came to DailyMail.com. McKinney, it is claimed, received a pay-out from Fox of around $25,000. She left the network but later wanted to return but was not allowed back to work at Fox, according to several sources. Another Fox source confirmed to DailyMail.com that a ‘deeply upset’ McKinney had relayed the incident to her.

‘She was a really lovely girl, a beautiful soul, everybody liked her. But the incident with Megyn, that was the last straw for her and she went to HR.’

McKinney went on to work at NBC and Al Jazeera America. Tragically, the make-up artist died in a car accident on Christmas Eve 2014, leaving her husband and two daughters. At the time, Today show star Al Roker expressed his sympathies on Twitter.

Another staffer said: ‘Megyn has a problem with people who stand up to her and she doesn’t like strong women. Alexis was a strong woman and stood her ground and paid the price.’

Fox sources also described an incident in which Megyn, now 47, pregnant at the time, was insensitive to the feelings of a woman who had recently miscarried. NBC News declined comment about the incident, but a management source at Megyn Kelly Today told DailyMail.com: ‘This is yet another fabrication peddled by Fox News, which is known for its retaliatory attacks and still harbors a vendetta against Megyn.’

For sure, this reads like the petty grievances of an ex-boyfriend who got dumped three years ago and still can’t let it go. Why are “sources” from Fox News still bitching about Kelly? Was she really *that* unpleasant? Narrator’s Voice: Yes, she really was that unpleasant.

She reminds me of the snobby girls in school that were super mean to everyone and acted like they were in some exclusive group that everyone was “jealous” of.

  2. Natalie S says:

I’m interested in how she defines her target audience. To which group is she trying to appeal? It seems like she’s just being super cynical and trying to fit a mold but then why interview someone like Alex Jones? Is she trying to do a far-right talkshow as a mainstream morning show?

    • Darla says:

I think that’s a good question, and I don’t think anyone, least of all NBC, can answer that.
I think her target audience was always older and outright old, conservative men. The main Fox audience. They thought she was hot, and she played to that. Then came Trump. And he ended that , because that audience took his side over her.

So who is her target audience now? Nobody knows. I don’t think one exists. And that’s why she’s in trouble, NBC has egg on their face, and this whole situation is going down like the titanic.

    • Kate says:

She does not have any target audience and it shows. Only the Faux Noise crowd could stand her clownery and they all chose Minute Maid Mao over her so she’s done. Can’t wait to see her getting fired.

    • Deering24 says:

This is a classic case of executive wishful thinking. NBC figured her feud with Trump made her palatable to liberal women—and they could grab some of those sweet Fox ratings.

  3. Veronica says:

Do I think Fox News is incredibly sexist and misogynistic? Yes. Do I think that Megyn Kelly is simultaneously a complete asshole and capable of behaving this way? Yep.

  4. littlemissnaughty says:

If this is true, it’s not surprising. The biggest issue I have with her is that she’s an opportunistic attack dog who spent time on air talking about White Santa. Because that’s important. And then she took her racist, misogynist ass out of there when she noticed that she wouldn’t get ahead and now wants us to believe that she’s a nice person? She has no principles, no integrity, and I have no idea what she stands for. She’s also deeply unpleasant. GTFO.

  5. Aimee says:

I believe she’s definitely not a “woman’s woman” and she probably doesn’t like people standing up to her BUT she has done some good and we gotta stick together ladies!!!

    • Kate says:

As a black woman, I’m not gonna stick with that racist the “New Black Panther are coming, Santa and Jesus are white“ asshole just because she is a lady. She is getting what she so richly deserves after years of racist fearmongering at Faux Noise.
Also, she deserves to be fired. She was never a good journalist or interviewer anyway, her only appeal was her ability to present racism and bigotry in a somewhat more attractive package, that’s all.

    • littlemissnaughty says:

I need to hear more because what has she done? And how does it outweigh the years of racism and general douchebaggery on Fox?

    • Tiffany says:

This good you speak of, what is it.

    • Reef says:

Are you being serious? Sarcasm is hard to detect via text for me sometimes.
ETA: It seems a lot of us had the same questions.

  6. reverie says:

No idea who this person is but news flash! I once called someone a “fing btch” too. It was great.

  7. Aimee says:

I thought she stood up to Trump and used er her new talk show to advocate for women but in the long run she probably only cares about her ratings. I just meant by sticking together as women that I didn’t want to roast her because of her dumb choices but now that you remind me of the stupid stuff she’s said maybe we really should!
