Lol come join us Tiff! You will not get an inheritance anyway after lawyer fees and asset forfeiture!

Tiffany doesn’t look like she thinks at all.

    • Jayna says:

She’s a law student,. But she probably has this desire to be close to Trump or win his love, since he wasn’t a big part of her life growing up, it appears. It’s like she wants daddy’s approval.

      • jwoolman says:

Are we sure this is Donald’s Tiffany? Anybody can have that username if they get to it first.

Tiffany’s apartment is paid for by daddy, don’t know about her school expenses. So I wouldn’t expect her to openly bait daddy at the moment until she’s safely out of law school.

But regardless, Tiffany is old enough now that she might not be so keen on getting close to daddy. During the campaign, I saw her doing the same “hand shift/get daddy further than arm’s length” maneuver when daddy got handsy that Ivanka was doing.

Also all the recent revelations may not be sitting well with her, if she has decided to believe the women and was unhappy with daddy’s boasting about groping and forcibly kissing women.

Since she’s not really attached to the business, she may be more aware of how likely daddy won’t be leaving her much if anything and how likely it is that daddy will lose whatever is left of his fortune in legal proceedings. The other adult children are into all of it too deep and are trying to hang in there, salvage whatever they can from the business, and avoid prison themselves.

Tiffany is studying law and very likely has a much clearer vision than the others about how much legal trouble daddy is really in and how obvious his chronic money laundering has been.

Is she joining the resistance or looking for all the attention that family doesn’t give her through liking posts like that and getting people to talk?

      little o’ this, little o’ that….

    • FLORC says:

Yea… I’m wondering if that’s just lashing out because she’s the black sheep for them. Not good, but not bad.
Spill the dirt or stand to the side, but dont give passive “likes” because you’re thirsty.

    • perplexed says:

I think it’s possible she could really be pro-gun-control. It’s not a hard issue to get behind, or at least I don’t think it has the controversy attached it to that other issues might have. The only people who have a problem with gun control are pro-NRA people.

No one in that family is an actual Republican and Tiffany is so far removed that she forgets (or doesn’t care to) keep up the façade.

But Jared has burned many bridges for embracing Donald and helping to elect him and wanting to work within the administration. Their business and social circle in NYC will never be the same for Jared and Ivanka. And I don’t believe Jared is a real Democrat anymore at all. If he was, he could never have stomached Trump and his rhetoric.

I thought this interview with a former business partner, who is a liberal, is telling. Jared had invested in one of this man’s start-up companies. The man was disturbed by Jared’s involvement with Trump, and his silence, during the campaign when racist remarks were made by Trump. Jared didn’t take it well when this man and the board wanted to cut ties with him. And this article was one year ago. Imagine how NYC feels about Jared and Ivanka now, a year later. Jared seemed furious by many of his friends’ reactions during the campaign and was happy to move on, getting deeper in the trenches with Trump.

      • Shelley says:

        Jayna.
Did you see the article about Ivanka in VF on the weekend? Apparently, she keeps close tabs on the NY social set and had memebers of her staff give Tory Burch a talking to. She was very upset when TB stated that her business does not dress Ivanka following the bruha of the Indian trip. I think Javanka fear being real outcasts when they return to NYC. My guess is the return soon and try to salvage something before DT is indicted to claim innocence etc

      • FLORC says:

I remember that article. It was covered completely from all angles.
Jared burned bridges more from his sketch and shady business style. He is in crazy debt to foreign investors and it wasn’t like he burned bridges with trump.
Both j and I are exiled. They’ve reached out and invites or correspondence is shunned.

      • Lorelei says:

@Jayna thank you for that link; it was very interesting.

Jared is baffling for sure. If he was someone who never seemed to care what anyone thought of him, it would be different, but this is a man who bought a newspaper in order to get himself into certain social circles and control the narrative about him and his family.

I think what seems obvious now is that he’s a bit like Kate Middleton in that at the end of the day, he is content to have just his family as his social life. I listened to a podcast once where someone he used to work with at the Observer said his parents would visit the offices regularly, he spoke to them both numerous times a day and still refers to them as “Mommy” and “Daddy,” and he even went so far as to ask the editor to remove a rug from his office because Jared’s mom disliked it. WTF? Who does that? It sounded extremely dysfunctional for a man his age.

Yet the fact that he lashed out at the guy in the article you posted about “exfoliating friends” sort of belies that, and shows that deep down it is bothering him that he’s been dropped by so many people.

I just can’t understand how he is surprised by this. They ran with very liberal circles in NYC (FFS, DONALD was a pro-gay-marriage Democrat who donated to at least one of the Clinton campaigns if not both!! 🙄), so he had to know he was making a choice when he became involved with this administration.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out if they ever return to NYC; I think Jared is going to prison so it probably won’t be an issue. But Javanka sure won’t be seeing any more Met Gala invitations in this lifetime.

ETA: this posted before I saw Shelley’s comment about the VF article above. I think Ivanka is delusional if she thinks there is anything left to salvage in NYC or if she believes any of these people will socialize with her and her family ever again. It won’t happen; they’re done. It wasn’t like this was some “gaffe” that could possibly be forgiven and forgotten. Javanka dug their grave. And as I said above, I believe Jared will be in prison anyway so 🤷🏻‍♀️

They are pariahs. I can’t stress to you enough that they aren’t welcome in a lot of places. They will find schools hard to find because parents don’t want them associated with it. They will find reservations at restaurants unavailable. She was barely tolerated as it was.
45 has said awful things about Bloomberg and Jews, so I would be surprised if Georgina(his daughter) will have anything to do with them. Now imagine how the Orthodox community feels about them? Contrary to what some people believe most of them are politically liberal. It will be interesting to see if they are shunned by their synagogue.
She will not be welcome in spas and salons.
My friend’s brother is trans, and he said if he sees them on the street he is going tell them what he thinks and will have to restrain himself from spitting on them.
So much has been revealed about them and they are the topic of plenty of conversation.
Jr’s wife was wise to bail, and she kept her trap shut the entire time and kept a low profile. She just may be the only one to escape with few.
They will have to strong arm or blackmail to be able to go anywhere in their former circle. No more Met ball for her. Crooked J was shunned at first because of his father. So it wasn’t such a stretch to just boot him early.
Ivy managed to fool a lot of people but not anymore.
I sort of look forward to the gossip. I might just die from the Schadenfreude.

      • Lorelei says:

@MagnoliaRose, look at the fate of the Madoff family, and this is far worse. I understand that Bernie’s crimes directly affected their UES set, but still — they were pariahs. Ruth had to move out of state and I think at least one of the DILs changed her name.

Ruth couldn’t get an appt at her hair salon anymore — this seems like a trifling thing but it’s just one small example of the complete ostracization of the family. I think it would be far, far worse for Ivanka.

For the good of her children she should move out of NYC. They will be shunned and/or heckled everywhere they go for the rest of their lives. And you’re right about schools. No private school will touch that name. Can you imagine what it would do to their fundraising efforts?

It is very sad for all of the grandchildren. No one will want their kids to be friends with a Trump or a Kushner. And I can’t blame them. The young children shouldn’t be punished for the actions of their parents & grandfather but that family is toxic and I wouldn’t want my child anywhere near any of them either. It’s going to be awful for them.

And I don’t think Ivanka is as oblivious to all this as she acts. Judging from her IG she’s the happiest mom ever with the happiest kids ever but she’s not stupid. She must know what an uphill battle she and her children will face for the rest of their lives.

      • holly hobby says:

Yes the Madoffs are a good example. I do remember one of the daughters in law changing their name (and their kids) because the name is toxic. It could be they are trying to crawl back to NY because there is now an open investigation on Dickless Ken using the office to further loans for his money pit (Building 666 – that name alone should have discouraged the purchase).

  7. Shotcaller says:

It literally does not pay to be a Trump.

    • Addie says:

After it’s all over, when everything has been revealed, whoever is left in that family will need to change their last name. Too much to be saddled with.

      • imqrious2 says:

I’m just sorry for the little kids of the family, that are dragged into this sh!tstorm by their awful parents. They have no say, and will bear the burden because Grandpa dragged them into infamy.

      • Nancy says:

Don’t be too sorry imqrious2, the little kids will grow up to be Ivanka, Jr. and Eric? They have the trump genes and are cursed, but I’d bet the farm, little Barron is dad in training. But, for the sake of human dignity, he gets a break till he reaches the age of America First. That is trump’s America, not ours.

      • magnoliarose says:

They will pay the price for their sins for the rest of their lives. It is sad for them because I doubt they will have any playdates or invited to birthday parties because no one wants their parents around.

    • holly hobby says:

I don’t know why everyone thinks those grandkids can still mix in with upper society because once the adults get nailed for financial crimes (easier to prove and success rate of winning a conviction is probably higher than collusion) the misbegotten family fortune will be gone. These kids will literally have to live like the rest of us – some better some worse.

Complicity Barbie changing her name will not help. Everyone knows what she and her brothers look like. Unless they get a face transplant they are going to be pariahs for the rest of their lives.

    • jwoolman says:

Actually, it really doesn’t pay to be a Trump. I think the illegal activities such as money laundering provide any real income, if you look at his properties, they aren’t necessarily profitable. I think they are just a legitimate front for the illegal activity.

The guy managed to bankrupt casinos! In New Jersey! Donald Sr has been making bad business decisions all his adult life and always had to be bailed out either by his father or by working with criminals. Now he’s likely in hock to the stratosphere and can’t pay off his loans from Russia (or China or Deutsche Bank) and the Russia mobsters don’t play nice. He might have had the chance to get a lot of Russian debt forgiven if he came through with lifting the sanctions, but he’s found that the Presidency isn’t quite the dictatorship that he envisioned. I rather doubt that he has much chance of continuing as a “reality star” by the end of all this, if he isn’t in prison. Even Fox News might be having a hard sell in supporting him by then.

  8. SM says:

And Kushner brother went there and donated money to the March. The family dinners in this family must be beyond awkward.

  9. lucy2 says:

Was it really her authenticated account, or just someone using the name?

    • Peeking in says:

It’s her account, with the verified check mark. Also, the like is still there, she hasn’t unliked it (yet).

  10. Peeking in says:

    I got Cersei Lannister.

  11. Sarah says:

Tiffany bears an uncanny resemblance to a Scream-era Rose McGowan.

    • Neelyo says:

      That’s very generous.

    • Lahdidahbaby says:

I think her lips, nose, and facial contours (or lack of contours) are Donald Trump’s, exactly, and her body is a female version of his. Only her eyes are her mother’s.

      • Chrissy says:

I LOL’d when I saw her picture. She should really avoid the anus-mouth thing. Makes her look even more like 45.

      • holly hobby says:

Yep her eyes are marla’s but everything is Trump. It is so unfortunate that that set of genes are so dominant. It literally obliterates the mothers’ genes.

  12. Missmarirose says:

None of the Trumps, including Tiffany and her mother, are interested in anything other than lining their own pockets. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just fooling themselves.

    • Rumi says:

      I completely agree.

    • Lahdidahbaby says:

I think Tiffany is also desperate to be SEEN, and by that I mean hungry to have her presence acknowledged, both within the dishonorable Trump clan and in the world shaking its collective head outside it. Unfortunately, she doesn’t quite seem to know who she is, so the messages she sends are always an amalgam of Trump values and some pale, half-assed imitation of whatever the progressives of the world are saying. I hope she will eventually be able to see and accept that she won’t find her truth — or ANY truth — in Papa’s circle of scoundrels, but I kind of think her yearning to be accepted and fully embraced by the Trump family will win out in the end.

      • jwoolman says:

If Tiffany actually uses her law degree for something other than trying to keep family members out of jail, she might well find her fulfillment elsewhere and decide the Trumps aren’t worth the trouble. Ivanka had to push to get her included in things as a child and apparently was the one encouraging her to help with the campaign. At some point, Tiffany will understand that they don’t want her around, it’s not her fault, they’re dysfunctional to the max, and she’s much better off without them. If she’s smart and works hard, she can make plenty of money herself. Plus she might see the signs that the Trump fortune is smoke and mirrors and Bob Mueller is clearing away the smoke.

    • magnoliarose says:

Her mother is no better than the rest, and she isn’t either. I think she is seen as sympathetic because he ignores her but she wants fame and fortune too.

      • Lahdidahbaby says:

I certainly agree that Marla isn’t any better, and Tiffany seems to be playing both sides in order to be accepted, seemingly without much conviction or consistency on the social-issues side.

And yes, I agree that her mother is awful: She saw the money and went after (the technically married, though never in spirit or actions) Trump. She was flagrant about it, likely because she needed Ivana to find out and for it to get messy before she could have a shot at marrying the beaky-mouthed millionaire. Becoming pregnant with Tiffany was surely another means to her end.

I always find it ironic that (at least according to the tabs at the time) Donald — the compulsive serial philanderer — divorced Marla because he found out she was playing around with their bodyguard in late-night frolics on the beach.

  13. Ms says:

The “like” means nothing, but I’m not going to assume Tiffany is anything like her father or her sister. I know the granddaughter of a very prominent (now deceased) GOP senator and she is as liberal as they come, as are her parents. Hooray for kids NOT bring enslaved to the ideals of their parents.

  14. phaedra7 says:

    Don’t think she could be trusted (Once a Trump, always a _______________________. . . . . .)

  15. tw says:

From what I’ve read, her mother seems like a sweet, genuine person. Trust me, during the campaign, I started googling her, expecting to find the opposite. But I didn’t. I think she is someone who made mistakes, had an affair, loved him, and went on to have a pretty positive life and raise her daughter outside of the insanity.

  16. Anya says:

I love cb nation. But sometimes I wonder if we are a bit harsh. We don’t know this woman. Why not give her the benefit of the doubt. Isn’t that what we would all want?

  17. justwastingtime says:

So, to be shallow. From the nose up, her mom. From the nose down, the dreaded trump genes right?

    • jwoolman says:

She looks fine to me. I hope she doesn’t mess around with (more?) plastic surgery.

  18. MJ says:

Gah! She has a LOT of her father’s looks, doesn’t she? I would feel sorry for her, but she’s filthy rich…and still a Trump.
