No matter what, Gerry will make this
movie a HIT, like all his movies.
He is so gorgeous, talented, charismatic, intelligent, etc.
I will never miss a Gerry movie,
no matter who else is in it or what
the source material. He makes every
character he portrays so wonderful and
believable.

I so agree with this about Jen. I think they make a mistake always playing the phony pr games. I think she needs to step back for 1 or 2 years then come out with a new game. None of that pity stuff or my ex stuff. NO triangle junk. Come out as a strong women on her own. If she finds love in that time, then come out as a stronge sincere women in love her new man and heavens sake no more fake men.

Alright then…I’m just going to leave it. No point in arguing over something where I’m just never going to see eye to eye with someone. I guess for her it’s just your particular point of view and I see similarities in all of those characters.

PS-Noticed you didn’t try to argue about John C Reilly-especially his early career-because you know I’m right about that.

Wrong wrong wrong. I give you Misery, Fried Green Tomatoes, Dolores Claiborne, Primary Colours, About Schmidt - just to give a small example of Bates’ incredible versatility and range.

Comparisons are foolish? Please. I never said she was the same “caliber” as Kathy Bates. I said Kathy Bates generally plays the same character as does Jennifer Aniston.

I’m, sorry, but VERY few actresses/actors in Hollywood have range. Diaz is a terrible actress. Same giggly girl over and over. I’m convinced Kate Hudson’s oscar nomination was a fluke. I don’t care what anyone says, Angelina isn’t very good, either. I can’t imagine her having much of a career without that oddly exaggerated face of hers. It’s not a mistake that the same actresses/actor get casted in the same movies over and over. The nominations always go to actors/actresses who try different roles like Streep, Day-Lewis and Winslet. Does anyone know what they’re really like? But the money makers are always casted as character whom people believe are close to their real personalities: I’m looking at you Jim Carey, Kate Hudson, and Diaz. Not much difference between who you see on tv red carpet interviews and who you see on the big screens.

hey i watched he’s just not that into you…last night;it was not as horrible as I expected! of course,had i paid 10 bucks or more at the theater,i’d have been bummed….

anyway,i rather liked JA in that one.
True,not that different from her friends role,except a bit more dramatic/pretending her role was real life….

it’s true: she has no surprises.
it’s also true: she’s funny.
yea,the frustrating part would be someone knowing what they are good at,but WANTING to branch out. [which she has been rumored to want]…Otherwise,stick w/your winning fx,like so many other actors [as mentioned above].
She’s funny,though,IMO.
And I’m not a huge fan;I just appreciate comedic timing [though hers is not perfect;in fact,THAT is what she can do: perfect her comedic timing/skills-she could perhaps be considered a serious actor then. you know,steve martin,etc. Comedy in itself doesn't have to be taken as a joke;yes,dare I say,it's a 'craft' to be improved upon.]
