Donald Trump: James Comey is ‘not smart’, he ‘committed many crimes’

U.S President Donald Trump arrives at West Palm Beach Airport on Air Force One in Florida

If Donald Trump and the Deplorables had any sense, they would have just allowed James Comey’s 20/20 interview and book tour to go through without comment. Comey is problematic AF, and his arguments and explanations for why he tanked the election still don’t make much sense at all. If anything, given what we know now, I would have thought that Comey would be more apologetic, because surely he sees now (in retrospect) how badly he bungled everything? But no. So if the Deplorables were smart, they would just let Comey do his thing and let Democrats attack him. But since Donald Trump is a baby-fisted fascist who loses his dentures whenever anyone says anything mildly critical about him, Trump lost his mind on Comey over the weekend and this morning too. Some assorted tweets from the past 48 hours:

Absolutely none of Trump’s arguments make sense, because there is no overarching theory of Comey’s “crime” in Trump’s mind. Trump has made so many different explanations for why he fired Comey or why he did or did not say certain things to Comey, and none of them make any sense other than this: he was fine with Comey when he believed that Comey delivered the election for him. He thought Comey was loyal to him and Trump invited Comey to dinner to personally kiss the ring. When Comey wouldn’t shut down the investigation into Mike Flynn and Russian interference, that’s when Trump thought Comey committed the crime of “disloyalty.” Everything else is just white noise.

Meanwhile, Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen is headed to court today because his lawyers couldn’t explain, on his behalf, what exactly he did for Donald Trump. Meaning, the judge doesn’t believe that much of Cohen’s work for Trump fell under the “attorney-client privilege” banner. So Cohen has to go into court and try to explain it. Also: Cohen might try to represent himself in court!!! [Insert laughing-crying emoji]

I’m so exhausted and this is all overwhelming

    • NeoCleo says:

I know, I know. Unfortunately the process must be followed if we are ever going to fix the mess this idiot and the Republicans have made of our government and our democracy. Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is switch off the TV and stay away from your computer for a while and exercise some self-care. I escape into period dramas and comedies, take my dog to the park for a run, etc. Do something nice for yourself.

    • Raina says:

Oh dear God, I’m so exhausted too. It’s like watching an extremely hyperactive toddler 24 hours a day. He doesn’t STOP. It’s stunning.
The most ridiculous people always yell at someone else about not being smart. Uncanny.
He knows his equally “very smart” (LMAO) constituents believe every word he says so he just throws it out there until it sticks.
The day he goes to prison, I will send him one Jack and Jill book a day and from every translation… I will insert, in the jacket of the book, the following words: At least Jack and Jill can climb up a hill you orange waste, and I will sign it,
IVANKA, (I’ll wait for you forever).
I will do this Shawshank Redemption style like Andy until someone reads it to him and I get a response.
I have become unhinged with hatred toward this half baked psychopath.

  2. Maria says:

I wish the guy would just shut up.

  3. Natalie S says:

If he was promised amnesty, he would resign the presidency, right? I mean, maybe an option just to make him go away?

Or how about house arrest at Mar a Lago? Do they have a golf course?

  4. minx says:

Typical Trump projection, accusing others of his own transgressions.

  5. Snazzy says:

Kaiser the pics you choose of Baby Fists are always the best. Thank you

  6. Rapunzel says:

He’s babbling about China and Russia causing currency devaluation as well. He literally understands nothing.

    • Sunny says:

The what? Boy, he is so dumb. On the other hand, at least there are two forces in the world he is afraid of – China and Russia. Maybe they would be kind enough to do something about him?

    • jwoolman says:

I wonder if President Tweeter understands that a trade deficit doesn’t mean you’ve lost any money. You’ve just bought more goods from X than X has bought from you. You still have everything you bought.

I also wonder if he knows he has just knocked the pins out from under all the US farmers selling a huge percentage of their soybean crop to China, which will impose a retaliatory tariff on American soybeans and undoubtedly is busily checking out more reliable sources of soybeans…

      • Rapunzel says:

He’s hurting a lot of farmers with tariffs, pulling out of trade agreements like the TPP, and scaring away/deporting migrant workers.

      • still_sarah says:

I have just returned from China after teaching there for a few years. The Communist leaders in China are very smart and calculating in what they do. If and when they retaliate for Trump’s tariff nonsense, they will go after Trump’s base such as (soy) farmers. They won’t just go tit-for-tat – they will make it personal against Trump and they will make it hurt. Trump is so stupid that he is no match for them.

      • Tiffany :) says:

Yes, Trump (and sadly the voters) don’t seem to understand that his TPP stance and his trade tariffs are really hurting his base.

By dropping the US out of TPP, the Asian markets are now going to be getting their pork from Europe. This will hurt Iowa pork farmers greatly, and also the corn farmers (Iowa’s corn is feed for animals). Additionally, China is said to be targeting soybeans, which also hurts Iowa farmers.

I can’t believe so many supported him. I don’t want to be elitist, but if the voters understood the issues more, I wonder if they would have voted for a candidate whose policy positions were so detrimental to their own well being.

  7. imqrious2 says:

All I hear is Dump deflecting back all of his own deficiencies: disloyal, stupid, dishonest, criminal… I just don’t have the energy to type it all out lol

Apparently another lawyer has turned down Dump’s “offer”” to work for him 🤣😂🤣😂

I am so tired of waking up to a new crisis every day! I can’t believe this has gone on for this long.

    • Esmom says:

I recently found out that one of the attorneys who turned him down was a guy from my high school. I barely knew him but my sense that he’s a good guy was definitely confirmed upon hearing that!

  8. Beth says:

All of Trumps paranoid bitching is what makes him look so guilty. If he’s so innocent, why is he panicking, right? Trying to stop Michael Wolffs book from coming out and now whining about Comey is what gets people so interested in the interviews and buying their books. Wolff and Comey both have best sellers because of Trumps childish, nervous tweets

    • holly hobby says:

He and Suckulew (because that’s all there’s left on his legal team) sent an ex parte letter (I can only assume it’s ex parte because it was not a motion and sent as a letter) asking USDC Judge Kimba Wood (the one overseeing Cohn case) to let him pick through the seized evidence and to declare what was “out of bounds” because that’s the only “fair thing” to do. No case law cited. Just I should be able to do it because it’s only fair and I’m the most powerful person in the world.

      Total $hitshow.

  9. lucy2 says:

Not smart/many crimes – someone’s projecting again! The worse he spirals, the more trouble he’s in too.
I’m no fan of Comey, but I do think he’s being honest about what happened, and many people have commented on how meticulous he was with notes and memos.
People should start suing Dump for libel.

    • holly hobby says:

I believe Comey over that orange $hitstain. As for Comey’s lack of contrition. I really don’t know what people want him to do? Cry like Jim Bakker on tv? He said things matter of factly. He’s FBI I doubt they show a lot of emotion, you know?

  10. Natalia says:

    More projection.

Brilliant comments, Kaiser. More than usual.

  11. Chrissy says:

Some group of psychiatrists should study and publish PROJECTION as it pertains this thus a** and then make it public. That would be a book worth reading. As to Comey, I honestly think that he’s a true believer who made devastating mistakes with his pronouncements re Hillary (and non-pronouncements re 45) pre-election that swayed to election in the Orange Baboon’s favour. I don’t hate him though. I pity him that he can’t find it in himself to simply apologize. He has to live with the knowledge that his putting himself into the picture at all helped exposed America to the amoral evil that is Trump.

  12. Reef says:

Lol, 45’s approval rating has gone up recently. Dems are backing less Progressive candidates. He’s the President and this is the gov’t we deserve.

    • minx says:

His approval was up briefly to 40 per cent and now it’s back to, I think, 37, according to an ABC/WaPo poll.

    • Save Mueller says:

I refuse to believe that someone who represents the worst traits of America is who we “deserve”. We can and should aspire to be so much more.

    • Tiffany :) says:

It’s so sad that some would see Trump’s approval numbers as something to celebrate, Lol. Oh how standards have fallen.

  13. Carol Hill says:

This just gets better and better. Keep it up. 2018 Elections are coming. Then, when we elect more Democrats, let Trump keep up his bull. We will TAKE HIM DOWN IN 2020!!!

  14. Rapunzel says:

Cohen needs to convince Bigly to represent himself as well. Tell him, “Obama would never do it” and I’m sure he’d jump at the chance.

    • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

In the long run, Cohen will flip, IMO. Rump can pardon him, but that won’t get good standing with the ABA back.

  15. Sadezilla says:

I know this is not the most pressing issue of the dumpster fire, but the nonsensical caps make my eyes twitch.

    • Beth says:

It drives me crazy how he capitalizes words like “Personal Loyalty,” or when he writes words in all caps. And why does he end almost every sentence with EXCLAMATION POINTS?!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Rapunzel says:

The nonsensical quotation marks bug me.

    • Swack says:

Bothers me also. What’s funny is, I go and look at his agenda for the day and anytime they mention that Melania in the agenda you get this:

The President and THE FIRST LADY host the White House Easter Egg Roll

The First Lady is always in caps – like they need to emphasize that she is there and all is well in the Trump marriage. Also, can anyone tell me why Trump meets with all the foreign heads of state at Mar-A-Lago instead of the White House?

      • Christin says:

Wouldn’t surprise me if they are setting up a way to trademark the title in all caps, so she can capitalize on it after this circus ends.

(Imagining shoddy quality products for the “base”, since they think she’s the epitome of class.)

    • Tiffany :) says:

Did you see John Oliver, where he suggested that reporters have to read the all caps in tweets as shouting? It was hysterical. That’s how it reads in my head. Trump always makes himself sound unhinged.

  16. Saras says:

    VOTE!

  17. NeoCleo says:

    “Not smart” “Committed many crimes”

    Projection much, Trump?

  18. Shannon says:

You’d think the GOP would at least be smart enough to ignore the book rather than draw attention to it. But no. And the way Trump keeps screaming and hollering about it just makes me want to read it more. I’m on the fence with how I feel about Comey, but if he wants to spill some Trump tea, I’m here for it. Comey was actually kinder than he should have been by calling Trump of ‘above average intelligence.’

  19. why? says:

Mueller needs to stop coddling the Dotard and charge him, his 2 kids, Jared, and all of those GOP member who have been interfering in the investigation(Nunes, Gowdy, Graham, Matt G, Chuck G, and Jim Jordan). Why hasn’t twitter banned the Dotard yet? How long will Mueller and twitter allow this to go on.

The Dotard is projecting. He is the one who committed crimes and is not smart, giving an interview bragging about how he fired Comey to stop the Russian investigation.

The Dotard’s lawyers filed a request last night to allow the Dotard to review all of the documents that were taken from Cohen under the pretense that the FBI violated attorney client privilege. I hope that the courts don’t fall into the complicity trap and allow the Dotard to dictate the documents from Cohen’s office that they can and can not look at.

    • Swack says:

I would think that they had that base covered. One of the reasons he has to be in court today (if I read this correctly) is because he must turn over a client list. It’s been said he may not have been acting as an attorney for Trump (who is supposedly his only client) or others.

      • Christin says:

That’s my understanding as well, based on an interview with Stormy’s attorney and a reporter Friday evening (before Bigly took over the news channels with the bombing announcement).

The judge had “basic” questions that his attorneys apparently could not sufficiently answer. Their client might have been able to supply those answers then, but was photographed sunning on the sidewalk with some “friends”. Priorities!

    • holly hobby says:

I doubt a judge would grant that request. For one, Suckulew (only atty repping him now) did not come up with one case law supporting his argument. His point was they should be able to do it because “it’s only fair.” If we are talking about fairness here why is he allowed to malign so many corporations and individuals?

    • whywhy? says:

The judge granted the request. She is allowing Cohen and his people(which means the Dotard) to review the documents that were seized so that they can determine what the FBI can and can not see. This is ridiculous. Why is everyone bending over backwards for the Dotard? Everyone with the power to stop the Dotard keep falling into the complicity trap. We can’t trust anyone to do the right thing.

      • holly hobby says:

She did not grant the request. She denied the TRO. There is no ruling on the preliminary injunction but a lot of legal analysis is pointing that this is a long shot as well. Of course he will be able to look at the other side’s evidence. That would be at the discovery phase. He is not allowed to look and pull now when the “taint team” is sorting through everything and marking what is allowed and what is not allowed for the prosecutors to use.

      • whywhy? says:

She did grant the request for Cohen and the Dotard to review the documents. She denied the restraining order. There are 2 different matters and it appears that MSNBC is getting it all wrong. She ordered the FBI to give Cohen and his lawyers the documents, but not all at once(she said something about it being “rolling”). Only MSNBC is reporting that she said she would appoint a team, rejected the request, and had the FBI make copies of the documents. I think that MSNBC is confusing the restraining order with the Dotard’s request. She said that she wanted to be fair and so that is why she had the FBI turn over the documents to Cohen and his lawyers and the Dotard to review them.

  20. Lisa says:

Ugh, you would think being this hyperbolic and bombastic ALL THE TIME would make this guy need more than four hours of sleep per night. I get tired just reading him. He’s just so stupid.

  21. holly hobby says:

So this orange is basically telling us that Comey botched the emails debacle because he wants Hilary to hire him? Oh ok!

  22. Lama Bean says:

And Cohen’s third client is…SEAN HANNITY!!!

  23. Oliviajoy1995 says:

So he’s saying that Comey wanted a job with Hillary Clinton and that’s why….what exactly?? If he wanted a job with Hillary then he WOULDN’T have opened another investigation into her emails so close to the election. Does this d bag even know what he says??

  24. Nina says:

Every time he opens his mouth to criticize someone/spew hate he seems to be talking about himself…
