Rachel Weisz looks lovely, shows off her bump in a terrible Chloe gown

Rachel Weisz attends the 'Disobedience' premiere during the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival

Last week, Rachel Weisz announced her pregnancy in the middle of an interview with the New York Times. I was incredibly happy for her! Rachel and Daniel Craig have discussed their desire to have a child together in years past, although both have one child each from previous relationships. Rachel is 48, and I’m sure that means her pregnancy is probably “high risk,” but she’s been going about her business in New York and staying active. Her bump is pretty big too – I’m pretty sure she’s well into her second trimester. Anyway, these are photos of Rachel at last night’s Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Disobedience. The film is about two women – played by Weisz and Rachel McAdams – who become lovers and try to hide their relationship from their Orthodox Jewish community.

Weisz wore a really bad Chloe dress to the film festival premiere, but in general, I do try to give pregnant ladies more passes. We don’t know if she had a hard time finding flattering maternity-wear, and it could be that this was the only dress that fit comfortably. But yeah, it’s terrible. Also, we should take a moment and recognize that Rachel McAdams walked her first post-baby red carpet too! McAdams reportedly gave birth… at some point, maybe in February. We really don’t know, honestly. But we do know that her body snapped back and she’s already wearing sheer gowns with granny panties.

She looks like she escaped from a cut rate video game set in the Middle Ages.

    • Siiiigh says:

Seriously. My first thought was, “m’Khaleesi.” lol

    • still_sarah says:

I thought “How very Game of Thrones” when I saw it, especially the sleeves. It is so sad to beautiful women (or men) in not so beautiful clothes.

  2. Cynical Ann says:

She’s so gorgeous and I wish her well on her pregnancy. But that is one of the ugliest dresses I’ve ever seen.

  3. minx says:

What IS that thing Rachel W. is wearing? And why?
And I love Rachel M., but those granny panties and the fabric across the boobs, again, why? Two such beautiful ladies. Such bad dresses.

  4. HeyThere! says:

Doesn’t these two women have a x lover in common? Or is that another person? If that is the case, it’s lovely to see them getting along.

    • Sequinedheart says:

You’re thinking of Kate Beckinsale. Michael Sheen & Rachel McAdams dated for a couple of years, he was Kate B’s baby daddy.

  5. KLO says:

This brown dress is laughably horrific. What. The. Hell.

I still love Rachel though, she`s awesome.

  6. tracking says:

The Rachel M dress is even worse imo.

  7. SNAP says:

Rachel W’s dress would had looked so much better without the weird sleeves…and a V neck would make the silhoutte more flattering, understated but classic. But she is beautiful and radiantly pregnant so, go girl! I’m 38 and 3 months pregs…CAN’T.STAY.AWAKE…i don’t feel pregnant except for being absolutely tired all the danged time. Wish i looked fresh as a lettuce like Rachel… :*( snif.
Rachel Mc…banging bod…but what was she thinking when she put that “dress” on??!!

  8. Rose says:

Why is her face so droopy on one side? It’s all I can see.

    • ... nik. says:

      Badly done botox. 🙁

      • Rose says:

I was thinking uneven eyebrows but yeah probably bad Botox.

      • Jussie says:

One problem with Botox and fillers is that their effects don’t always fade at the same rate. One set of above brow injections might last 3 months before the effects become minimal, the other might be perfect for 6 or more. One cheek filler might start looking deflated after 4-5 months, the other might be fine for 9 months.

Since she’s pregnant she’s probably stopped injectables, and one side of her face is just showing the effects of that before the other.

    • minx says:

      You’re right. Not good.

    • tracking says:

Wow, I can’t unsee it now. Most 48 yo women don’t look to be in their early 30s without a little help. But the fact that we see so many celebrities with bad injectables results keeps me away from them!

    • ElleKay says:

She has always had a droopy eye. Some makeup hides it better. I have a droopy eye. If I am tired, it is more noticable.

  9. Citresse says:

It probably wouldn’t look so bad if it was sleeveless. The sleeves are really bizarre.

  10. Veronica S. says:

I honestly don’t mind the dress, but I do wish the color was a touch redder. It looks almost brown in the photographs, which isn’t the most flattering for her skin tone. I could do without the slits around the shoulders, though.

  11. ... nik. says:

Bad botox. 🙁 I was hoping she will be the one to never get any kind of hard procedures. 🙁 Oh well.

  12. Taxi says:

An extra from Star Wars? Rachel forgot her petticoat.

  13. Neelyo says:

They’re both wearing horrible dresses but this movie looks great.

  14. Jayna says:

    What was she thinking?

  15. Yeahright says:

No comment on the dress (es), I just wish her a safe pregnancy.
I would be worried sick and on self induced rest at her age!

  16. Hank says:

Rachel M is a pretty woman, never noticed how big her forehead is.

  17. Lala says:

I am SO looking forward to this movie…as I LOVED Weisz/Nivola in the movie “I want you”…and I’m not even tripping on Rachel’s dress…I rather like it in fact…but Rachel’s EYE?!?! LAWD…NO!!!

  18. Skittlebrau says:

I’ll be so happy when the sheer dress / granny panty trend is over.

  19. indiansummer says:

I love the two Rachels so much (don’t think they’ve ever been in a movie together), and the premise of the movie seems very interesting… definitely will want to see this.

  20. amyston says:

Sup, Alessandro Nivola? I love seeing your face around here even if your name didn’t get mentioned. 🙂
