Tom Hiddleston wore a tight cream suit to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, so enjoy

Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Ruffalo promote 'Avengers' at 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

Hello, Tom Hiddleston in a cream suit. Bless. Tom stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live last night with some of the cast members of Avengers: Infinity War. Let’s just take a moment and thoroughly enjoy Tom in a light suit, please. I’m really digging his look these days too, obviously. I’m into the beard, the longer curly ginger hair, the glasses, all of it. He looks good. When he was clean-shaven and had shorter hair, I often found him too “prissy” looking, if that’s the word for it. Like, he was TOO scrubbed up. I like my men a little bit fuzzy and bespectacled.

Tom, Scarlett Johansson, Danai Gurira, Mark Ruffalo and Dave Bautista all appeared on Kimmel’s “Guess the Avenger” segment. My morning has been crazy so I only watched a few minutes of this, but it was cute? A few notes, from what I did watch: Scarlett needs a new stylist because good God, this dress is awful. Tom’s pants are really tight and he wants you to look at his LEGS. And I could listen to Danai’s voice all day.

  1. Mads says:

He looks happy and relaxed and much more toned down than before.

    • so cool says:

Apparetly his suit is “dusty pink”. I never thought men in pink suit can be so hot and manly.

  2. Beth says:

Nobody can wear a suit as well as Tom does. His wild curls and ginger beard are beautiful

    • MI6 says:

      Amen.

    • Cranberry says:

      Hell yeah.

    • Cranberry says:

      I love this man’s voice.

It hits my brain in just the right place. I can’t explain it, but it makes me feel good. It’s soothing to me. Even just a few words and sounds.

      • Beth says:

His sweet, sexy hehehe laugh always makes me feel good, tingle and smile

      • TeresaMaria says:

        I love TH voice!
I’ve been listening to the audiobook “High Rise” for 3 times in a row now … just because he is reading it!

    • starkiller says:

      No one? Really?

    • Nicole says:

Agreed. He pulls this off so well. I’m glad he’s back to this. I like dorky ginger beard tom

    • Siiiigh says:

Got excited shivers just from the title of this article. Only someone like Tom Hiddleston could come out of a relationship with Taylor Swift and maintain his dignity…. So glad that’s over. I don’t actually have any criticism for either of them. It was probably super exciting for a while. Then it just got uncomfortable for everybody.

      • so cool says:

Right? No tantrums on SM, no stupid PR stories about ex in tabloids, no new hotter girl to show ex what she lost etc. He made it with dignity, and as a gentleman he is. And media for sure did’t help him on it. He really impressed me, how he dealt with this craziness.

  3. SJhere says:

He is looking very good! And yes, I’m always noticing his legs.
Legs! As soon as I see that I know it’s TH.

  4. Jillian says:

I don’t know if I’m the only one but I’m very overwhelmed with the superhero movies right now.

I thought about having a marathon but that’s like 10 movies, right?

    • Case says:

18 movies! I’ve done it slowly over the past few months in anticipation of the new film. A huge undertaking, but I feel like I finally understand how the MCU fits together.

      • Jillian says:

NO WAY. I didn’t realize it was that many.

I might go see it in theaters even though I’m not caught up

      • Lucky says:

My son just did the marathon as well. Some good movies in there. I like the Thor ones best.

    • Lightpurple says:

      18. I did it over the past 3 weeks along with all the One Shots, a season of Agent Carter and some select Agents of Shield episodes. I’m ready for tomorrow night!

If you feel you need to prep for this but can’t watch all 18, I would focus on the ones that more directly relate to the Infinity Stones and the current state of affairs, so all 3 Captain America films, all three Thor films, the first Guardians of the Galaxy, Dr. Strange and both earlier Avengers films. So yes, 10.

  5. Case says:

That suit is even leaning toward pink. I love it. Yep, he’s a cute one.

Seeing Danai and Tom in the same space is making me really happy, btw. She’s awesome.

  6. MI6 says:

I like my men a bit roughed up as well. Shows they’ve lived a bit.
RIP, Dancing Bear Tom. Rugged, well-worn, reticent Tom is a HUGE improvement.

  7. Lightpurple says:

Hey, LEGS, my lawnmower is broken so please feel free to bring your new one here.

The REAL Lightpurple. Accept no imposters!

    • Cranberry says:

So you want Tom to mow your lawn with his new power tool?

      Very naughty.

But I think LEGS needs to come over to my lawn. It is in far greater need, and I love English gardens.

      😉

    • Kali says:

What happened to your mate Sixer?

      • Lightpurple says:

Don’t know. She disappeared, as have several others. I hope all is well with her and the sixlets and that’s she’s busy with wonderful activities. She and her snark are missed.

      • Cherrypie32 says:

I was just about to ask the same question. I hope she is ok, miss her snark!

      • so cool says:

And what happened to third ginger? She disappeared from CB and she used to be so active (especially about Hiddles 🙂 ). I miss her calm, positive, professional texts. I hope she is ok too.

    • DB70 says:

My mower is broken so I’d appreciate if he’d come mow mine. In shorts and sunscreen, the end. (OK maybe he can have a hat and sunglasses but that’s a hard line)

  8. Lindy79 says:

Sigh, I’m going to miss Hiddles when he disappears off to walk his dog after this press tour.
Also, THIGHS in those trousers when he’s sitting down, good lord.

    • so cool says:

Well he has Com Con in Seattle in July I think. So will see him then. But after it… I think he will announce some projects soon, but it doesn’t matter – We won’t see him official in next 1-2 years. He can spend this time at home with dog or filming new projects, but I doubt that he will stroll red carpets on premiers or award shows, when he isn’t involved in them. So now he will came back to his cave and The Big Drought will start soon.

  9. Cranberry says:

Of course Tom won the Infinity jewel trivia. He’s probably the only Marvel actor, aside from Clark what’s-his-name, that’s read a substantial amount of comics.

    • Case says:

I appreciate that he’s actually invested in the story. Especially in sci-if/fantasy type movies, a lot of actors are happy to take the paycheck and then basically mock it (and therefore their fans, too) in interviews and seem to think that’s cool. That attitude has never impressed me. Don’t do a film you think is stupid!

      • DahliaDee says:

Yes, as far as I know, the only other actor lovelier, kinder and more humble than TH is Keanu Reeves. And the only one on par with TH, other than Mark Ruffalo, probably, is Yoo Ji Tae, a South Korean actor who played the villain in the original Oldboy, who, besides also being very easy on the eyes, has been known to take paycuts to ensure that other actors get payed their due, or completely forego his salary as a director to be able to pay the crew on his projects. He also sponsors and mentors young aspiring actors and seems to be a lovely, warm person, very devoted to his family.

      • ZGB says:

Didn’t know that about Yoo Ji Tae! First discovered him on Healer, and was charmed by him. He’s so sexy! And now I hear his this cool and nice? Awesome.

    • Cranberry says:

      Clark Gregg

  10. DB70 says:

God bless this man’s soul. He’s always thinking of his fans and the need to see those legs. Bless him. LOL

  11. Digital Unicorn says:

I want to get into the Marvel movies – saw the first 2 Thor movies but there are sooooo many of them and a few of my fave actors are jumping on the Marvel bandwagon.

My Netflix list is getting very busy – am half way through The Alienist first series. If you haven’t seen it yet watch it. Very good.

    • Lightpurple says:

At this point it is difficult to find actors who haven’t become part of the MCU or DC franchises or been in “discussions” (Joaquin Phoenix, Ethan Hawke”.

      • The Hench says:

Whoa. Props for pulling together that list. That’s an incredible amount of actors.

@Digital Unicorn – Just started watching the Alienist. Good to know it’s worth watching. I have been (very late) catching up on Breaking Bad. I think I am a bad person as every one I know raves about it but, whilst I appreciate the great acting and writing, I’m finding the pacing reeeaalllyy slow at times.

      • Lightpurple says:

        And Karl Urban

    • Cranberry says:

Finished The Alienist. Liked it. Won’t spoil it for u. Good performances. Now watching The Terror on AMC and Trust on FX. Donald Sutherland is excellent as JP Getty. I’d recommend both especially if you don’t have premium subscriptions (HBO, Showtime) or Netflix.

  12. maxine ducamp says:

I love all iterations of Tom, but beardy Tom, with long, tousled waves is definitely a favorite look.

He does seem so much more subdued in this promo tour. I wonder how much down to growing older and how much is tempering his natural enthusiasm. I saw a recent Infinity War interview with two other cast members (maybe Letitia Wright and Seb Stan?) and the interviewer mentioned impressions and asked Tom to do one and he answered that he was no longer allowed to do them. I wonder who placed that restriction on him?

    • Case says:

Saw that interview and thought that was a little odd. But I think he pretty much stopped (either by choice or on the advice of his team) after doing De Niro in front of De Niro. Because that was cringey awkward.

He’s still delightfully earnest about every question he answers and when he plays these games, lol. Hasn’t lost his dorkiness one bit.

      • DB70 says:

I’ve seen him impersonate people during this press tour while he’s telling a story, just not full on impersonations.

    • Emma says:

I think the guy has learned to say no when he actually doesn’t want to do them. ‘I’m not allowed to any more’ is just a deflection. He really didn’t want to do that De Niro impression but felt he was ‘required’ to!

They slip out naturally when he’s telling an anecdote – this is quite common among stage actors, you’ll see many doing impressions of people they are telling a story about – but he’s not an actual impressionist in the comedic sense, which is why it can be a bit awkward when he is asked to do them on demand.

  13. so cool says:

I’m wondering how big is his backyard. Does has even grass there? 🙂 Oh Tom, now you really need to buy bigger village home.
He was so cute, when he sat on his lawn mower. And spoons. Again 🙂 And now back to his cave to Bobby.

    • Lightpurple says:

Small yard. Visible in the ice bucket challenge video.

      • Emma says:

Assuming that he hasn’t bought any family homes in the Sussex countryside since January when his purchase of Michael McIntyre’s place fell through.

  14. virginfangirl says:

I loved his impressions but he gets so much flack for the most innocent of things that I don’t blame him. He looks bulked up & so handsome. And I love some of his suits. They’re just a bit risky but never too much.

      • DB70 says:

Did anyone else whisper *please, please, please* when she told him it was their podcast and they would be back next week? I could handle a Hiddles weekly podcast. They could do it with him in London and her LA, right?

    • lightpurple says:

Oh my God! She has him read a dictionary!

      • jetlagged says:

At this particular moment in time, she is officially my favorite person on the planet!!

      • lightpurple says:

YES! Well, after him, of course, because he willingly went along with the in-depth Shakespeare analysis, the dictionary reading, the Scrabble discussion, and everything else they covered. She did ask some questions we’ve all heard before but covered a lot of other ground. As they both noted, this was the first time he talked about his version of Hamlet, and they touch on pretty much all his Shakespearean history, including OLLA. And we now know where he was for parts of last spring and summer – taking classes at RADA.

      • DB70 says:

I like her interviews with him the best. I like all the funny bits they do on these press junkets but I really like the longer more serious ones better. The Emmy roundtable is another good one to hear him speak at length.

  15. amyston says:

Oh my Lord, Tom’s face when Jimmy asked the Virginia Beach virginity question. I just can’t quit him.
