Jennifer Lopez, Emily Blunt, Millie Bobby Brown came out for the Time 100 gala

Here are some photos from the big Time 100 event last night, an event that really wasn’t about fashion, and yet people walked the carpet like it was a big Hollywood event. It was weird. The whole Time 100 issue was really strange too – it was really heavy on the artists, entertainers and performers, almost like Time was really trying to seem cool by recognizing all of the celebrities. Well, it worked, because tons of celebrities came out for the gala. Here’s Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez… they are absurd and showy and crazy. Bless them.

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski attended this event. Emily wore Brock and I think this was my favorite look of the evening.

Greta Gerwig in Gucci. I love Greta but I hate her style. This looks like repurposed whorehouse curtains.

I thought Lindsey Vonn was a Pussycat Doll, honestly.

Millie Bobby Brown in a rather perfect Dolce & Gabbana. She’s very cute and this is good on someone her age.

I got really nervous when I saw MBB’s name in the title but I’m so happy too see her dress and styling are age appropriate. I worry about her and really hope someone that isn’t family is looking out for her and making sure she’s okay. I’m also really hoping she won’t be one of those child stars that turns 18 and realizes they’re broke because their fam was taking advantage of them.

    Millie Bobby looks just adorable.
    JLo…smashed boobs, ouch.
Dying at GG’s “repurposed whorehouse curtains.” How could she look at herself in the mirror and think, damn, I look great!
I actually like the fabric and color of Vonn’s skirt, but not the top.
Honestly, I think John K. looks dapper, and I never thought I would say that about a silver men’s jacket.
    Nicole, zzzz.

Millie looks so pretty! I usually hate fussy, princess-y dresses but this dress really suits her.
I literally LOL’d at “whorehouse curtains”. The most perfect description.

J Lo is so effin extra but I love her for it. Also, did someone finally convince her to stop doing the open-mouthed pose? If so, God bless that person.

    MBB looks her AGE!
    I love that dress!
    Very Sandra Dee!

    Is Emily hiding a bump?

    MBB looks…LOVELY!
    Nic’s hair looks LOVELY!

  6. Lucy says:

Aw, I wish EB and JK would have matched their metallic undertones.

This article is absurd. Jennifer is on the cover. She was being honored for her work. You can’t deny the woman WORKS. how reductive to say she just walked a carpet just becuse.
If anything, let’s talk about how whitewashed she looks on her cover…

I really admire her career, and although I have only seen a couple of her movies, I found her to be quite good in the roles she played. You’re right — she seems to work very hard, and I don’t think she gets that much recognition for the breadth and longevity of her career.

But turning to fashion, my first thought was that she’s stuck in a time warp and I would love to see her branch out more and try some different styles.

No offense but we never say that about men although they wear more or less the same outfit suit+shirt every time.

    • DiegoInSF says:

Yes, she’s an icon. For god sake, if there was no JLo, there would be no Beyonce. Yeah, I went there. She’s a trailblazer. She looks amazing and still going strong more than 20 years, not many have her staying power.

      • HannahF says:

J Lo also was instrumental in the acceptance of thick/big booty bodies beginning as a Fly Girl on In Living Color. That said, I think this dress is not flattering. It would look better on someone taller. It’s a rare miss for her.

      • Yeahright says:

Are you insane? Destiny’s child predates Jlo’s sad attempt at singing.
Jlo is many things but Beyonce has been in girl groups since she was a child.
        Please get some perspective.

J-Lo is someone I did not give a fig about when she started to be famous, we were from different universes, but I am now in awe of her. Still not a fan of her music or her bfs but her work ethic, her longevity, the way she keeps herself in shape and radiant, she is a massive inspiration to me.

She deserves so much more than to be judged on her outfits or her guys.

  8. Pandy says:

I like Greta’s dress oddly enough. Emily’s us a yawn and jlo is just exhausting per usual. Nicole looks good also. MBB is a bit much.

  9. Rumi says:

Jlo is too much, she could look so classy and elegant but chooses these cringey trashy outfits.
Millie was the best of the bunch very lovely and I wish her much luck and success. Emily looks great but I can’t over her upper lip area, it looks odd.
Nicole usually is on point, I don’t like her look and posture.

  10. Hazel says:

Who’d’a thunk it? The teenager was the most stylish.

  11. lucy2 says:

    MBB’s is my favorite.
I’m wondering if the 100 is so entertainment heavy this year because of Weinstein, TimesUp, plus industry push back against Dump – that’s all really dominated a lot of the news this year. Just a theory.

  12. Amber says:

what’s up with the awful dry blond these days? Both Nicole and Emily should go with softer blond shades to look younger and fresher, in my opinion.
Love Emily, but her style has sucked lately. This weird peplum monstrosity is aging her.
Jlo – I can’t even comment on her style. The diva can do whatever she wants (but I feel sorry for her overly squished “ladies”)
