    Poor Avicii—breaks my heart.

Re : the comment that Avicii seemed “so upbeat”. My cousin’s wife suffered from severe depression and killed herself with an overdose of painkillers. In her last days, people said she seemed better, happier but I have read that people who have decided to kill themselves will sometimes seem to feel “better” because they have come to a decision on what to do (i.e. kill themselves). They believe their suffering will be over and so they feel relieved. So please be careful if you see this happen. It may be that the person has decided to kill themselves. Depression is such a terrible disease – I know because I have it. I am stable and life is pretty good but not perfect. It is sad that Avicii wasn’t able to beat his demons.

Oftentimes when depression starts to lessen it is actually the most dangerous time within the depressive state. A deep depression normally results in such lethargy that it is difficult for a person to complete suicide. When a person starts to feel slightly better, they then have the energy to complete the act.

To be fair, Megyn Kelly’s been there and done that sonshe was giving the warning from experience. As I remthe women of Fox also all signed the embarrassing letter in support of their own sexual predator(s).

I’m still sad about the Tatum and Jena divorce. But I admire her for going back to work to make a name for herself instead of spending 15 years married and coming out bitter from sacrificing her career for her husband.

I don’t trust any official “reports” that come out of Oman (same with UAE) Especially since Avicii had plans to make more music….

    • Léna says:

Why be suspicious about his death? He’s not a person of interest in Oman, there is no reason to “hide” the real reason of his death

      • Liberty says:

Yes, there was a reason some shady people might have been after him – he was strongly against pedophiles.

    Wow Wendell Pierce!!! Well said.

  5. Lucy says:

Tomdaya warms my heart, Avicii’s death breaks it. Damn.

  6. Léna says:

Why the hell bring puppies into this??? Poor babies

Btw, if anyone watches Black-ish… this last episode got me into tears. It reminded me so much of seeing my parents fighting for years, seeing my dad leave for a week “to reflect”, her my mom slam the door in the middle of the night to go sleep at a friend’s house. I wish an episode would show the kids’ point of view!
and i really hope the inevitable doesn’t happen

I adore blackish! These last episodes have been heartbreaking. As usual they rock the nuance. The flashbacks in the last episode… blackish is well written, well cast, well acted. All around a well crafted, well executed show. EVERY. DAMN. EPISODE.

      • Léna says:

yes. It’s one of the best TV show for me. Since I’m white european this show really opened my eyes on a lot of topics. It’s sad the channel refused to air an episode about the National Anthem Protests and the kneeling during the national anthem.

I love that show and find this whole storyline kind of perplexing. The show has always been pretty lighthearted and the characters are all kind of comedic caricatures so I’m not sure why they’re getting so dark (and realistic) now with Dre and Bow. It’s well done, but also just seems kind of like a different show all of a sudden and I wonder why they decided to do that.

    • Cintra.C says:

I also love Blackish. These last few episodes have been so well-crafted and sad.

I can’t see the first few comments, so not sure what was “Well said”

IMO, 40-50 years ago was a completely different generation.
I think Tom Brokaw is a very good TV Newsman and I’m sorry to hear anything awful about him. The women do have a right to say their side of things.

Re: Avicii, at 57 y/o, I had no idea who he was until I saw the news of his death.
Very sad for all left behind. 28 is just the beginning of someone’s life, far too young to go.
And if he had been telling his record company and many others that he needed to stop touring/take a break from his career, he most certainly should have been respected and supported in his decision. Some people are just sensitive and creative and that’s actually a great thing for those of us who are not. We get to enjoy their efforts, but some need to be given more care and understanding. The stress and pace this man experienced was not needed. People who think it’s “all about the money” are completely wrong.
