Rudy Giuliani leaves open the possibility that Trump paid off more women

There are so many journalists who have covered and followed Rudy Giuliani for decades, so I’ve been relying on their long-term experience. They tend to believe that Giuliani is NOT doing some kind of next-level “destruction from the inside” move against Donald Trump. They believe that Giuliani lost the thread of sanity and competency years ago, perhaps a decade ago. Giuliani isn’t a secret member of the Resistance: he’s a full-throttle Deplorable who happens to be absolutely awful at his job. His current job is legal counsel to Donald Trump. Giuliani got the job a few weeks ago, and he’s spent the last week giving interviews and incriminating Trump in about a million more scandals. Giuliani said that Trump “repaid” Michael Cohen for the Stormy Daniels payment. Then he said Trump paid Cohen back in installments. Now Giuliani says that yeah, there are probably more women out there.

It’s possible that Stormy Daniels wasn’t the only woman to receive a payment in exchange for her silence from President Donald Trump‘s personal attorney Michael Cohen, according to Rudy Giuliani. During an appearance on ABC New’s This Week on Sunday, the former New York City mayor was asked by host George Stephanopoulos if there were other deals made by Cohen on behalf of the president.

“I have no knowledge of that, but I would think if it was necessary, yes,” Guiliani responded.

The politician, who recently joined Trump’s legal team, described the $130,000 Cohen paid to Daniels a month before the 2016 presidential election so she’d keep quiet about an alleged sexual encounter years earlier as a “nuisance payment.”

“I never thought $130,000 was a real payment,” he said, adding, “People don’t go away for $130,000.”

[From People]

First of all, people do go away for $130,000 if they’ve already been threatened by Trump’s mobster goons. Second of all, if it was all false, why pay anything right at that moment? Stormy Daniels had been telling her story for years. They paid her in October 2016 because it would have affected the campaign and the election. Trump’s motive is what’s important here, not Stormy’s. Also: “People don’t go away for $130,000.” He knows this from experience, I guess. How many other women are out there?

Also: did you hear about Trump hiring Black Cube to personally investigate Obama administration officials? What in the world is even happening at this point?

Guess what, Rudy? Stormy isn’t going away.

Also, ITA that he lost his sanity and isn’t pulling a Severus Snape. When he was leaving as mayor of NYC (right after 9/11 of course) he said that he hoped that New Yorkers realized that the city was strong due to immigration not in spite of it (because of course there was a strong anti-immigrant sentiment after the WTC attack). Whatever scrap of decency he had is gone.

  2. Swack says:

Conway has also alluded to the fact that other women may have been paid off. I hope they all come out of the woodwork and quickly.

    • Christin says:

Stormy’s attorney has said there is more to be revealed, soon. He’s been on the money with his predictions to date.

      • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

I am overjoyed with his prediction that the orange turd won’t complete this term.

      • Sin Bim says:

I wouldn’t have thought she’d have anything left to reveal that hasn’t been revealed already.

    • Digital Unicorn says:

The wash cycle has begun and it’s all going to come out. They r trying to get ahead of the story. I think the bug thing Dump fears is about the money and how broke he really is, he won’t want people to know that he could even cough up the hush money on his own and relied on others to pay up. Being exposed as the failed and broke business man he is would be what finally humiliates him.

    • B n A fn says:

Michael Cohen borrowed $774,000 to pay off his women. Btw, he’s supposed to be billionaire, why is his fixer lawyer borrowing money on his in laws apartment to pay off the Con mans debts. Me think he’s not a billionaire. “How rich is he?” He has to pay his lawyer in installments.

      • Esmom says:

Yes, lol. But not a surprise. Even as someone who only peripherally followed him for decades, it seemed kinda obvious that he was more about the appearance of major wealth than actually having major wealth. The truly wealthy ones aren’t as try-hard and desperate-seeming as he has always been.

      • Lightpurple says:

More women were paid. More men were paid. The Art of the Bribe.

    • Onerous says:

It’s a legal tactic, even if it’s untrue… which, I mean… obviously more women have been paid off.

In regards to Stormy Daniels, tho – if Trump can prove that this was a normal course of action for Michael Cohen, then it’s not a campaign finance violation.

I would go far, far away for $130K
    FAR AWAY

  4. Case says:

He’s definitely just nutty and this is unintentional (just like all the hot messes in the Trump era), but it certainly feels like he is actively trying to tank this administration.

Did you see John Oliver last night? The second half of his show was a piece on Guiliani… priceless!

      • Lightpurple says:

And then he signed off forever. I wept.

      • C-Shell says:

OMG. I haven’t laughed so hard ever … I’m still laughing. OMG the websites, the ferrets … 🤣🤣🤣🤣

      • terra says:

I’d say Rudy should turn to his family to ease the sting of the piece, but I think he might enjoy that too much.

    • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

He just cracks me up interviews when he has unleashed ( off the cuff ) an absolutely insane and indefensible comment, and smugly tucks his tongue behind his bottom lip and skims from one side to the other, then smirks. He is such a dumb f&ck. Keep it up, Rudy, keep it up.

      • Christin says:

May he book several more interviews before he is predictably (and unceremoniously) canned via tweet.

Speaking of his mannerisms, did anyone else catch the SNL cold open? Kate played him. That alone made me cackle.

    • imqrious2 says:

Lightpurple, I was shocked, too…mouth agape shocked lol. HOWEVER…. a quick Google proved this not to be true. The show is renewed through 2020: https://fansided.com/2018/05/07/john-oliver-did-not-end-last-week-tonight-hbo/

YAY!!🎉🍾👏🏻🥂. I LOVE me some Jonh Oliver!

  5. Lila says:

It is hard to believe that Rudi Giuliani did such great things as mayor of New York City in the aftermath of 9/11. As a staunch lackey of Mr. Trump, he is reducing himself to a sad caricature of his former self..

    • Snowflake says:

I know, I had respect for him after 9/11. Until I heard him in interviews on TV. And the way he’s licked trumps ass for a chance at a position, got rejected, and still begging? Pathetic. Now he finally got a crumb from Trump. But that won’t last long.

    • B n A fn says:

Rudy was not a great Mayor in NYC, he got that title after 9/11 because people tried to get together because of the unimaginable disaster we were going through. Before 9/11 Rudy was taking black people’s civil rights away. He would put minorities in jail for minor incidents, ect. He was a dictator as I can remember. So this American mayor was used because he was the head of the city at the time and we needed to come together.

  6. Q T Hush says:

I’m beginning to believe that unlike Cheeto, Ghouli actually had a competent staff to deal with his duties as mayor of NYC. Here’s hoping there is someone from his administration chatting with Michael Wolf as we type.

  7. Green_eyes says:

Of course it doesn’t surprise me that Trump would use dirty tricks & the same Isreali operatives Black Cube to try to cover his lies & deceit as Weinstein did. If anything the last few yrs have taught me is that all those men like Trump & Weinstein they come from the same cesspool. As for no one goes away for $130,000. Ha! Yeah.. that’s a big No to pervie Uncle Rudy! Everyone goes away for that amount or less unless they have money to buy off corrupt judges or dirt on said corrupt judges.

  8. notasugarhere says:

He’s doing exactly what they want him to do; distracting people from what’s really going on. From Mueller to Daniels to Russia to Cohen to Putin to his profiteering off the presidency. Bread and Circuses.

  9. jferber says:

Rudy is now Scarmucci, Part 2. As soon as Trump believes Rudy’s no longer useful, he’ll dump him with a quickness (just as he dumped Rudy and Christie after the elections when they wanted cabinet posts). Some lackeys will never learn. Their loyalty to Trump is always and only one-sided. Trump is loyal to no one but himself. This “flexibility” of Trump’s (notably a characteristic of sociopaths) has gotten him to the top. Now let’s watch him topple. Karma was made for people like Trump.

    • Christin says:

Orange is like the John Mayer of politics. The date-of-the-moment* gets publicly humiliated, dumped, etc., and within weeks or months tries to get back in his good graces.

      * Mooch is Katy; Sloppy Steve is Jen A, and Rudy is J. Love Hewitt, I guess. Now, if we could just get a Swifty who will fight back.

  10. Skippy says:

How long until Trump fires this guy? Rudy is getting more attention than Trump and Trump hates that.
