Wonder who’s gonna replace the AG and how the NY case against the Trump embezzlement will go now.

Kanye is not well lmao. Like there’s a million ways this could spin out based on how and what he decides to comment on and for how long. I do think Old Kanye is dead at this point tho RIP

THIS…is the tea I heard last night…and I PRAY it’s true! I just read Farrow’s story…and he should have been put in JAIL…a long time ago!!!!
      =============
When Schneiderman steps down at EOB tomorrow, Solicitor General Barbara Underwood will take over for the office, according to a spox. Former Action US Solicitor Gen, chief assist in EDNY, argued 20 cases before SCOTUS, clerked for Justice Thurgood Marshall

      • Lynnie says:

Wow! Everything I’ve been reading about her is good stuff. Hopefully she’ll continue to keep up the good work 😊.

I think #metoo is getting into the next phase where it’ll now be all the “good guy” creeps that start to get exposed heavily. Shame because all the obvious creeps (aka the orange one) will now use this as deflection from their own misdeeds smh.

Btw I LOVE your hair in your avi!!!!

      • Me46 says:

When is #metoo going to go after Donald Jr and Eric Trump?

      • Lala says:

@Lynnie THANK YOU BABYGIRL!!!! (and Outre thanks you too!!!)

    • Betsy says:

All the trump stuff will be passed on.

And the timing of the Schneiderman stuff seems hinky. New Yorker tweeted out their story and literally the next minute Jr retweeted it. What are the odds. Investigate it, prosecute if appropriate but we all saw what happened to Al Franken. Color me skeptical.

      • Kitten says:

Wait, what do you mean? You’re saying you don’t think the accusations are true or…?

      • Lala says:

When you read the story…how can you be skeptical? And yes…we ALL saw what happened to Franken…THIS AIN’T THAT! Franken QUIT his job…he didn’t have to..he could have stayed and restored himself AND his reputation…he didn’t want to do that work…so he left…there’s enough horror here and evidence to press charges against Schneiderman…he needs to go…TO JAIL!

      • Betsy says:

I am saying that Al Franken wasn’t guilty and he still quit so as not to be an issue for the Democrats. I am saying that the timing around this seems equally suspect. It may be true. But he denies it, and Republicans have ZERO problems rathugging*. He quit. It will be investigated. But I basically don’t believe this stuff when the timing of the Republican talking points is so instantaneous.

        *Only the word isn’t hugging.

      • Sam the Pink says:

Never mind that all of Schniederman’s accusers are well-known, prominent, Democrat, progressive, feminist women, two of whom are putting their names and faces to the accusations. Betsy will find a way to argue that they’re all Republican/Russian plants.

      • Kitten says:

Additionally, it’s Jane Mayer and Ronan Farrow and The New Yorker. They’re not going to report on anything that isn’t substantively researched and adequately verified.

Is the timing odd? Sure. Could be coincidence or could be intentional, but certainly not on Farrow and Mayer’s parts. These two reporters have a history of gunning for powerful people who abuse their positions and there’s no way they would stake their reputations on false claims. If it was being sourced from Faux News then I’d agree with you but….

      • Dee says:

Wait – so because Dummy Jr retweeted it, it seems less credible? Less likely? WTF. These are well known, well educated, powerful, successful women risking everything they have for the truth. Just because some idiot who lives on Twitter reposted something super fast doesn’t make it any less true.

      • Betsy says:

@Kitten – as ever, thank you for your thoughtfully worded and respectful reply. You disagree cogently without making it personal or immature.

Yes, the article is pretty damning. Farrow has done great work. But I can’t help but see that what happened to Franken might very well be happening again, especially given what Trump tweeted yesterday morning. I’m sure this will now work its way through the courts – rightfully so. And again, he’s no longer an issue politically speaking. Trump is still in office despite the heinous charges against him. Greitens is still in office. The RNC kept allmthe money raised by Steve Wynn. It seems that punishing people for charges occurs only on one side of the political spectrum.

      • ImAlreadyGone says:

He did it, he needed to resign, and I hope there are criminal charges. I’m not saying Cuomo didn’t help this stuff come out/isn’t enjoying it (there are plenty of investigations into corruption involving Little Andrew), but Schneiderman is an abuser. There have been rumors about him (warnings to women to stay away from him) for over a decade. This was not politically motivated. I know people like his politics but he used his progressivism as a shield. And you know what? There are plenty of other intelligent, progressive, and capable folks in line who don’t abuse women and aren’t violent offenders. He won’t be missed.

      • Tiffany :) says:

The story about Schneiderman is so disturbing. There is a powerful female lawyer who declined to be named, but she said when he asked her out she said no, he slapped her so hard in the face that it left a mark for 24 hours.

The fear this awoke in my heart is so powerful. I’ve had guys attempt to punch me for turning them down (I ducked). To think that a woman could even be a super powerful attorney surrounded by professionals and yet THIS STILL HAPPENS to her is maddening.

      • Betsy says:

So it seems that these women did go to an attorney in 2013 who discouraged them from reporting Schneiderman to the actual authorities and instead he brought the news to… Donald Trump. In 2013.

I say again: investigate and punish as appropriate (I’m guessing a few years in prison) but you bet something weird happened with the timing.

    • Veronica S. says:

Barbara Underwood is the temporary replacement from what I understand. I don’t know about the long term, but I’d assume all of the casework will be passed on regardless.

      • Heather says:

Honestly I don’t think Trump and his cartel had mich to do with the NY AG’s scandal. Cuomo hates him and loves to take down any enemy that might possibly steal some of his spotlight since he has presidential aspirations himself. It’s no secret

  2. Honey Bear says:

    That dress 😍. Beautiful

    • SNAP says:

I had no clue she was pregnant. She looks glowy and so pretty in that pic sporting her baby belly.
I agree w/Honey Bear, i want that maternity dres!!!

      • LittlefishMom says:

I had no idea she was pregnant, dating….. what happened to her?? What has she been in besides Fargo?

  3. Kitten says:

Jared Leto LOL. Ugh. Eyeroll is right. Trevor Noah is such a handsome dude. I don’t understand anyone who looks that good in candid shots. If it were me, I’d have my eyes closed in one, tongue sticking out in the other, etc.

  4. Incredulous says:

Oh, sugar. Forgot to post that IT IS THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR! ‘Tis Eurovision* week. The first semi is already done – Sadly, Ireland got through and I apologise to everyone for that – but Thursday 8pm GMT (3/2/1?) and then the finals on Saturday. It is great and wondrous and fantastic and inexplicable and I love it.

Israel has the best song thus far – peak Eurovision – but last year won with a golden labrador puppy sporting a bandaged paw masquerading as human entrant so this year it’s ballad heavy, sadly. Also check out Finland’s Gaystapo video which made it through.

*Not constrained to Europe but the idea started there and you have to be a member of the European Broadcasting Union, so, like, Israel, Egypt, Australia. (and Canada?)

Did I mention how I love this thing, it is the song/performance version of wrasslin’?

  5. JRenee says:

These are serious and credible allegations. Sickening as hell!

    • trh says:

Seemingly all the attorneys general, mayors, governors, representatives, senators, cabinet secretaries… are drunk with power. That’s why they’re terrible liars, because they’ve been brazen in their abuses for so long, they’ve forgotten how to discern right from wrong. I guess conscience or moral compass atrophies with neglect.

The way public offices are bought and sold these days (under the pretense of democratic election–like when Russian oligarchs bought POTUS notwithstanding the popular vote), and the way money is funneled without compunction, we’ve turned back the clock three centuries on our behavioral standards for politicians and the ruling class.

Jaden Smith looks like a patron saint of home-schooling disasters. And that certified gold record of “Icon” is risable. I don’t doubt that Spotify has streamed it 60 million times, but his album SYRE sold less than 4,000 physical copies, and the “total album-equivalent units” from streaming is just over 20,000. Maybe it’s been obvious for years that the RIAA gold certification is straight-up for sale.
