There is nothing better than a hot goofball. Sure, suave has its merits but give me an attractive guy who is willing to be a dork any day of the week. This is why Chris Hemsworth stays at the top of my Chris List. He discovered he’s more marketable as a goof than a heartthrob and bless him for leaning in to it. The latest installment of “Chris Fights His Hawt” was posted to his Instagram. It features his children (plus some extra kids, it looks like), his dog and Chris dancing, terribly, to his brother’s fiancée Miley Cyrus’s Wrecking Ball:
It’s all precious but the dog attacking him is the best. Not only can you write fantastic dialogue for the dog, but he is so honest in his desire to stop the whole situation. Like somehow Chris’s tragic dance moves will endanger the children. Or maybe the dog is just thinking of Chris’s career and how quickly they could lose it all if this video goes viral.
But can we also talk about the song selected? It’s widely assumed that Wrecking Ball is the song Miley wrote about the destruction of her relationship with Liam, to whom she is now re-betrothed. It’s possible that Chris was just showing support of Miley and her very successful hit, but I don’t think so. These boys have a long history of taking the p-ss out of each other. I think dancing like that to that song was absolutely intended as a trans-Pacific noogie to Liam’s head. The dog attack was just a bonus. All we have to do now is wait for Liam’s retaliation. For the record, both Liam and Miley loved it:

Doubling down on his theme of showcasing affronts to music, Chris, supposedly while representing Hugo Boss, filmed his entrance into his Singapore hotel room. Again, he looks knee-bucklingly handsome and is casually strolling through his luxurious suite when he inner dork comes out and the whole video spirals into silliness:
My theory is Chris has always been a dork and he tried to suppress it for years. But the pressure became too much and now he’s flying his dork-flag any chance he gets. And I love it – all of it. But I definitely think his video work needs more dog. Always add more dog.

After his magnificent performance in the last Avenger’s movie…which I am STILL amazed that HE ended up being the emotional heartbeat to the film…him and Gamora…He is moving up to challenge Chris Pine’s position as “My Favorite Chris”!!!! These videos help in that acceleration!

It’s very cute but I really better not hear any “respect my children’s privacy!” from this guy. He sells his family life like it’s going out of season. He gets a side eye for that like all the rest.
He was good in Infinity War and seems to have given up on trying for serious/important roles. Good self-awareness. Goofy will be his niche.
I thought his kids were having as much fun as he was–the brown-haired girl on the right was SELLING IT. I foresee great things for that one. And yes, usually i don’t go for kid exposure on the internets, but this video was adorable and hilarious… I think it’s great to see a dad who loves playing with his kids. (And his dog.)
We rarely see the faces of his kids. They’re usually shot from behind or with hair in their faces. The dark-haired kids aren’t his.
Someone on Facebook commented that she believes the brunettes are Matt Damon’s children. Is that who is filming this???
