    Ha! Happy Birthday, a**hole.

  2. Scram says:

Drake is like a male Taylor Swift (though probably a crappier human). He’s like sure I took some Ls these past few weeks, but 🎵Whatever it takes, I know I can make it through 🎶. He knows his audience and how nostalgic this generation is and has probably been saving this card for years. Well played.

    • Betsy says:

To be fair, how many Americans are not nostalgic for a time when Dotard was not in office? We’re all pining for the pig demon to be gone.

  3. minx says:

The Trumps benefit themselves, no one else.

    • ORIGINAL T.C. says:

The entire article is fascinating including the fact the old NY Attorney General has been sitting on it for 20 months. The case is now finally being filed since the old AG is out for sexual assault and the new Temporary female A.G. filed it.

Remember how it came out that Trump’s fixer lawyer Michael Cohen had the dirt on the old A.G. without using it? What if Trump was holding it over his head all this time????

I stand by the notion that justice is going to be handed to Trump via the courts not impeachment.

      • kate says:

        Amen!

      • Louisa says:

Oh I hadn’t heard that Cohen had the dirt on Schniderman (sp?). That’s huge.

      • jwoolman says:

The state authorities had suspended donations to Trump’s Foundation a long time ago, while the investigation was ongoing. It’s possible Trump did blackmail the guy to stall it, that seems to be a pattern with Trump. He collects dirt on people to use when needed. Sometimes he can’t help but hint at it gleefully on Twitter. So examining his tweets might be revealing.

Or it’s possible they were still collecting info, had decided to move on it more recently, and that’s when Trump made sure the dirt surfaced. Trump is so coated in Teflon that I can believe it took this long to make a solid case. Who knows?

This is why I suspect Putin passed along to Trump dirt collected on members of Congress from their hacking of the Republicans, and Trump has been using the info to keep people on board. It fits the way he has always worked to keep investigations stalled and dropped against himself and his family. Precious Ivanka would have been charged with felonies long before this if not for daddy’s efforts.

“Dumb-funny”, is not how I’d describe those memes re Milly Bobby Brown.

    • me says:

The stuff that gets attention today is ridiculous. Either people have too much time on their hands, or everyone is just so damn depressed and full of anxiety, memes are the only escape. I don’t know.

      • Lynnie says:

It’s a combo of both. Nothing makes sense anymore, so the humor is a reflection of that. I personally love it so I’m biased lol

    • Tiffany :) says:

MTE, I wouldn’t say they are “dumb-funny”. Maybe when our LGBTQ community is no longer targeted for acts of violence I will get the joke and be able to laugh at it, but we aren’t there yet.

      • Neelyo says:

Yeah I wasn’t laughing either. Hate crimes against the LGBTQ community are on the rise, I just don’t think these are ‘dumb funny’ as much ‘dumb dangerous’.

Happy Birthday Dump!! HEEHEEE!!!! This makes me giddy: first blow against the Grifter Family! C’mon Mueller… make my year!!! 🎉🍾🙏🏻

    • Valerie says:

His random capitalization always makes me shake my head. They just make his orange, blustery voice come through even more.

    • Kitten says:

He is so f*cked. I’m loving every second of this.

Also, LP you must be taking special delight in Nagini being part of this mess.

      • Lightpurple says:

Oh, I am enjoying every second and waiting to see how she tries to bribe her way out of this one.

      • Esmom says:

Kitten, do you really believe he is? I can’t even hope. None of what’s been reported on this farce of a foundation is surprising from this despicable scumbag family.

Lp, I read that Nagini will be slapped with a $2 million fine and then will be back on her merry, grifting way. Sigh.

      • ORIGINAL T.C. says:

@LIGHT PURPLE looks like the Trumps including Princess Nagini won’t be able to bribe or Blackmail their way out of this 🙂 The woman temporarily doing AG duties is a career prosecutor and wants to go back to her old job once her term is over without running for the permanently position. Looks like she’s only there to clean house. It will be interesting to see how many good cases the old AG sat on in exchange for keeping his sexual assaults of women secret….

    • Rapunzel says:

Lp- What is the ethics violation?

      • Lightpurple says:

He’s tweeting about how he won’t settle the lawsuit involving the business. Ethically, he should have no dealings with that business and no say in whether it settles a lawsuit

      • holly hobby says:

Well according to the complaint (I read it and it’s available online at the NYAG site), he wanted to wind down the foundation as soon as he found out the AG was investigating but he couldn’t do that because it has to remain active until resolution of the investigation.

I hope they go after Eric’s foundation too. I doubt St. Jude is getting all that money he is raising.

      • Christin says:

I’m reading the document now, and am semi-surprised at the allegation that the board of directors had not met since 1999. Policies and grant guidelines? Apparently sparse to non-existent.

From Page 8 – “…the foundation is little more than an empty shell that functions with no oversight by its BOD.” Wow.

      • Addie says:

Apparently, Trump’s federal tax records have to be made public in this case.

    • Olenna says:

Ha! He’s got NY, MD and DC on his ass and I hope they all get a piece of his bogus fortune.

      • lightpurple says:

Let us not leave out the nation of Panama, which is also going after Precious Princess Nagini hard.

    • adastraperaspera says:

This news made my day! I especially love the part where the “Treasurer” of the foundation claims he didn’t know he was listed as such–for ten years! What? Also the fact that the NY courts have refused to dismiss the Apprentice contestant lawsuit against Cheeto today is just delicious. Happy Birthday, Birther!

  8. Lynnie says:

*cackles in glee* Oh boy I can’t wait, and just in time for midterms too!

I still don’t know why Sony hasn’t dropped Dr. Luke. They’re not hurting for money they could easily buy him out of his contract. If they think the negative stories and association he brings will stop then 🙄 ellos son babosos.

The Millie Bobby Brown thing is such a great example of absurdist humor I love it.

For me the song is probably either “Crazy in Love” or “7/11.” I NEVER get sick of those songs, and believe me I’ve played them to DEATH.

Drake’s Degrassi Deflection scheme might work on some people, but not me lol.

I don’t really know what Rita Ora is doing clothing or otherwise.

    • Veronica S. says:

I love the kind of absurdist humor in the Brown meme. I just don’t like that whoever started it didn’t think about the implications of the actress’s age. Like, that sort of superficially offensive joke is better aimed at an adult who can better see the nuances of the Internet’s tendency toward neo-Dadaism.

  9. Valerie says:

As funny as this is, happening ON HIS BIRTHDAY, it also scares me. As it is, he attacks unprovoked. This will set him off and who knows what the consequences will be. I hope it’ll be nothing more than a series of illiterate tweets about haters and losers.

    • Kitten says:

Yeah I had that thought as well. Crazy how we live in fear of our own POTUS. He really is extra-unhinged today though…which is saying something. He’s losing his shit because he feels like he can’t control the narrative. He forgets that his followers don’t care about the truth and all he has to do is continue to lie to them. They eat that shit up.

      • Valerie says:

I’m cheering myself up by reading the scathing replies he’s getting. I don’t see a lot of support for him on Twitter, which I’ve mostly stayed away from since he was elected, to avoid getting into tweet wars with feckin’ eejits.

        But it’s still unsettling…

      • Christin says:

A portion of the supportive activity may be bots. The distracting tweets seem to ramp up when there is something that should be Bigly news.

We must not let gaslighting get to us, hard though it is.

      • Kitten says:

Usually the comments immediately underneath his Tweets are from a set of bots that regurgitate the same dumb memes as well as some high-profile Resisters who cleverly clap back.

The brainwashing is real, though. Some are definitely bots but some are real people. When I say “brainwash” I mean it in the most literal sense. These people are never coming back to reality and it’s frightening.

      • Tiffany :) says:

        So here’s my hope:

The primaries have given the message to the GOP that any republican that distances themselves from Trump gets burned in primaries. I am hoping that they use this to embrace Trump fully…forgetting that a lot of moderate republicans now identify as independents and therefore, don’t vote in primaries. Hopefully those moderates will be scared off by the GOP candidates embracing Trump and will decide to vote Dem in November.

        A girl can dream, right?

      • jetlagged says:

@Tiffany, that’s my dream too. It was scary to see the Republicans that were critical of Trump lose in the primaries. Very scary. Now, more than ever, it’s critical Democrats sound the call for all the voters that have sat on the sidelines to show up at the polls. Everyone needs to ignore all the “Democrats are just as bad” news out there – it’s likely more propaganda designed to keep people at home.

Everyone also needs to make triple sure they are still registered to vote. The Supreme Court ruling about allowing inactive voters to be purged from rolls is troubling to say the least. “If the right to vote wasn’t important, they wouldn’t be trying so hard to take it away from people.”
        http://thehill.com/blogs/congress-blog/politics/391900-supreme-court-ruling-on-voter-roll-purge-undermines-the-right-to

      • Tiffany :) says:

        I totally agree, jetlagged.

In addition to “get out the vote”, there will now have to be “verify that you are still registered to vote” efforts!

    • Esmom says:

I fear this might not just set him off but some of his supporters, too. A friend in Canada said she jumped out of her skin when she heard some large booms…her immediate thought was that some unhinged Trumpster was on the loose now that Trudeau is the enemy. She also said she is cancelling plans to come to the U.S. this summer. I don’t blame her a bit.

    • ORIGINAL T.C. says:

I hear you and understand your concerns but remember that fear of his cultish fanbase going postal if he lost the election prevented the FBI from announcing that he was under investigation for Russian collusion?

So fear of his fanbase was part of the reason he did get elected. We can’t continue to stay hostage to this man and is cult (as the GOP is clearly doing). We have to hold him to the same rule of law that every citizen and government employee is held. Appeasement doesn’t work on bullies, facing them down fearlessly is the only way to diminish their power over you. We may just have to hide under the bed for a short while to avoid his crazy cult until the are rounded up.

      • Juls says:

You are so right about bullies, OTC. And Trump is the poster child for bully. Appeasement never works. Avoiding them never works. And reporting their behavior to authorities only works sometimes. The only thing that stops a bully is fighting back. And that is usually a really risky and scary thing to do (think about little kids that are bullied). But it usually shocks a bully into submission and they move on to an easier target, because bullies are cowards at their core.

      • Holly hobby says:

My kids gym teacher told me sometimes if you want to stop a bully you just punch him in the nose. Hey Sophia bush decked that producer and he stopped harrassing her! Just saying.

  10. Hollygo says:

Patrick Melrose was superb. Cumberbatch was superb in it. It was a rather harrowing watch in many ways, but hat seems to be lots of tv these days. But everyone in it was so good and it was done so well.

    • badrockandroll says:

Haven’t watched it yet, says the woman with the PVR that is constantly at 94%. But has anyone watched DietLand – zounds, is it good! Harrowing, yes, but good.

      • ravynrobyn says:

That’s nothing…my DVR is rarely below 97% full. ITA about Dietland, what a wild ride!

  11. Lucy says:

The Lower House or Argentina’s Congress has passed the Legal Abortion Bill this morning!!!

    • Kitten says:

      That’s fantastic news. 🙂

    • Lady D says:

Congratulations. It must feel great to finally own your own body.

      • Lucy says:

We’re not 100% there just yet! The Upper House is up next to vote, so we still have that to look forward to. But today! Today will go down in history. Patriarchy is going down because we say so!!

  12. Beth says:

This happening on his birthday was like a cherry on top. There will be tweets about “crooked Hillary ” that will come back to haunt him. Lock them up! Lock them up!

    • Kitten says:

His crazy followers are having a shit-fit screaming about “Deep State” and “Clinton Foundation”. Yawn. So predictable.

I saw that the GOP is pushing for Mueller to wrap up his investigation. Wonder how many of those aholes are guilty…

      • Christin says:

Charity navigator (watchdog for “intelligent giving”) has a high risk (bad) rating for the T Foundation, and low risk (good) for Clinton Foundation.

The Clintons’ charity has the same good ratiing as the Carter Center – Jimmy’s charity. Reality versus the brainwashing fiction that the bots and brainwashed repeat.

      • Kitten says:

It’s so funny that you mention that, Christin, because I tried to post a link to the CN rating of the Clinton Foundation but the website is was crazy-slow. I guess a lot of people are trying to do the same thing in response to the dumbass Trumpsters 😉

      • Christin says:

The site was one of the first results when I searched their family name and foundation. I was trying to get the latest news earlier today, yet stumbled on their “warning”.

      • Esmom says:

Oh Kitten, Like they’d believe anything from Charity Navigator or anywhere. I’m sure they already have a narrative about it being fake news, Deep State or both. Gah.

      • Veronica S. says:

I feel like that’s more proof of anything that Trump isn’t as wealthy as he pretends to be. The Clintons are well past the point of their financial worth that they have to do stupidly shady shit to make money like that. It just generates itself now.

  13. Incredulous says:

Illegal use of funds okayed in his own hand in sharpie. Heh. Also, nicking money meant to go to a Veteran’s charity. Stay classy, you metastasizing orange.

    • Valerie says:

lol @ metastasizing orange. You know what those stood for in The Godfather… 😀 I hope this will finally be Trump’s death knell. He should never have been elected in the first place.

      • Lightpurple says:

I thought my friends and I were the only ones who noticed the oranges in The Godfather movies.

      • Veronica S. says:

“Children of Men” had a little nice nod to the Godfather with bowls of fruit that foreshadowed the same. 🙂

      • lightpurple says:

My favorite was the orange peel on the poison cannoli in Godfather 3. The best part of that movie.

    • Jan90067 (aka Imqrious2) says:

  14. holly hobby says:

Boom! What a birthday present NYAG presented to the buffoon. I think the filing date was deliberate. The best thing is he can’t pardon anyone from this!

  15. Tony the Tiger says:

There is a MUCH bigger legal issue brewing with the Trump family which is that the Trump kids LIED to investors in a condo development on the edge of Tribeca in downtown New York to get them to invest in new condos.

They told investors that they had already reached certain levels of purchase and occupancy that were false to get those investors in the door….not just with the investors but with the banks financing their mortgages.

That is a HUGE no no and is a violation of a lot of different federal, state and local laws and banking laws. The attorney general of New York shrugged it off since the Trumps gave him a ton of money but now other federal, state and local regulators are looking at it.

Plus they are facing private lawsuits from those investors who are now stuck with condos with depressed property values. For a lot of those investors this was their biggest investment and they are hurting as a result.

    • Tiffany :) says:

I think they might have used the NY condo scam in Canada as well (saying more units have been sold, etc.). Here’s hoping that they eventually face justice for all of their crimes!

      • Tony the Tiger says:

The good news is that where they fail to get prosecuted in a criminal court they can still get sued in civil court.

    • Holly hobby says:

That wasn’t in the purview of the Ag. It was the city’s DA, Cy Vance, the very same turd that failed to prosecute Weinstein on criminal charges.

  16. Veronica S. says:

Not to be that Cynical Asshole Adult (TM), but people on the Internet really need to check themselves and remember that the cast of Stranger Things are literally kids. KIDS. Millie Bobbi Brown is FOURTEEN. They are not at an age that we can even remotely expect them to have the maturity and objectivity of adults who can laugh stuff like that off. Of course she’s going to be upset about a meme claiming she’s homophobic and racist. Frankly, the fact that she just deleted her Twitter instead of going off about it exhibits a remarkable amount of restraint that even most adults don’t have.

    • Juls says:

This is, sadly, part of the reason that child stars have their maturity stumped at around the age they became famous. It will be even worse for them now because of social media. They are expected to act and think and speak like grownups when they should be out riding bikes without a care in the world.
