Kate Middleton tired of waiting for Prince William, might come to America

Poor Kate Middleton. As the years go by and she still hasn’t gotten that ring on her finger, I just feel for the girl. She’s spent all of this time, effort, and money trying to land Prince William, and what does she have to show for it? Not even any kind of assurance that she and William are “engaged to be engaged”. And before people get mad at me for being anti-feminist, and start yelling about “Maybe she’s the one who doesn’t want to get married” or “Who would want to marry into that family?” – here’s the thing: Kate wants to get married. She wants to be the William’s wife. She wants to be Princess of Wales. She wants to be Queen. No girl would have stuck around for this long without having her eye on what she sees as “the prize”.

Meanwhile, William is off doing endless extensions on his military training. By my count, I think William has been training for four years. I suppose the training will come in handy when he’s king… which, at this rate, will likely be when Will is in his sixties. Currently, William is training to be a search-and-rescue pilot, and he has little time for his long-suffering girlfriend. According to the Mail on Sunday, Kate might be a little fed up with her prince’s engagement dithering, and Kate might be looking for something new as well. According to the Mail’s sources, Kate is considering a temporary move to America:

Kate Middleton has already endured months apart from Prince William as he concentrates on his military career. And now she is facing even more time alone when he transfers to Wales at the end of the month. The 27-year-old Prince is being posted to RAF Valley in North Wales where he will continue his training to be a search-and-rescue pilot.

William will be learning how to fly a twin-engined Griffin helicopter in the mountains of Snowdonia and over the Irish Sea. He has been told that during his time at the base, there will be no breaks for holidays.

The Prince, known in the air force as William Wales, will leave RAF Shawbury in Shropshire at the end of the month and move to more basic accommodation at his new base. At the moment he shares a private house at Shawbury with his brother Harry.

William is preparing for some of his toughest training yet. An RAF insider says: ‘It’s going to be a testing time for William and Kate because he will be expected to knuckle down. He will be mastering the basic elemental techniques of search and rescue and there will be no holidays.’

‘He is absolutely committed to getting through his 18 months of training and his dream is to get out to the front line. Search and Rescue teams are deployed to Afghanistan and it’s William’s wish to go to war just like his brother did.’

However Kate, also 27, may yet decide to go off and do her own own thing while she waits for William. I’m told she is hatching a plan which could see her heading to the States.

‘What she really wants is to explore her passion for photography and she has thought about spending some time in America,’ says a friend.

William and Kate do have some time together to look forward to – a long weekend at Balmoral at the end of August.

It will be the first time Kate has been invited to stay while the Queen is in residence, prompting speculation that the couple are getting closer to announcing their engagement.

[From The Mail]

Of course I think William should just go ahead and propose to Kate. He’s never going to find a girl who wants this lifestyle as badly as Kate. He’s never going to find a girl who has put up with so much, and will continue to put up with as much. I’ve really started to suspect that William is just stringing her along and waiting for Kate to break up with him. Which, at this point, she might want to do. Dump him, Kate. Run off to America and make William see the error of his ways.

I generally agree with your points Kaiser, but I have to add: We don’t know what goes on behind closed doors.

I think Kate is definately in it to win it. She’s been steadfast since their school days, and she knows it’s just a matter of time. In private William may say to her, “you’re the only one for me, I’m just not ready to get married and take on all the responsiblities of royalty.”

I’m sure the publicity freaks him out, and the publicity will only multiply when they are a golden couple, and daily ‘bump watch’ stories, divorce, etc. etc. all that comes with marriage when you are a public figure. He and Kate probably enjoy their semblance of privacy, and perhaps they don’t think there is a reason to get married until they want children.

William also said in an interview years ago, that he isn’t even considering marriage until after he’s 28 or 30. I would bet that Kate plays the understanding card, rather than the ultimatium of America when dealing with William’s hesistance.

  2. Victoria says:

What happened to the good old days when there were politically-based royal marriages? Isn’t it a disgrace he’s marrying a commoner who is as homely as Kate? Why not a made-up Princess from Monaco?

  3. Iggles says:

Victoria – I admit, I’d love to see a Royal/Royal wedding. It just doesn’t seem to happen these days. People have left arranged marriages behind, and it seems like there’s little social interaction between the younger bunch of Royals.

I don’t think he’s ever gonna marry her, UNLESS she winds up preggers. I bet he taking ALL the precautions he possibly can on his end to make sure that doesn’t happen.

  4. HEB says:

I understand him wanting to live out his life as much as possible before he gets closer to the throne but he’s never going to get to the front line–just give it up!!

I wonder if they have some sort of pact that she’s waiting on

  5. mel says:

Maybe it’s good that they wait, cause maybe it means that their marriage would last… I really like Kate and wish her good luck.

  6. wow says:

Those Princes rarely end up marrying their first serious girlfriend. Even Camilla wasn’t Charles’ first girlfriend.

Get a job, Kate. She use to have one. These amatuer chicks will never learn. They should always have their own money and their own goals in life other than being “the girlfriend of -insert celeb or royalty name here”.

Kate would probably fare better by William marrying someone else and then she can his mistress. It worked for his Father.

  7. Cinderella says:

LOL, Wow. As ugly as that sounds, it’s so true.

  8. Asiont says:

I can bet William will not marry her, she is just way too boring. Perhaps he will meet some crazy chick and fall in love against all royal family members, I hope so. Kate and their relationship is sooo predictable

  9. Dirty Martini says:

She’s in it to win the prize. (Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it.)

He cannot dump her, he’ll look like a cad after all this time. If she leaves, if all this is true–then he looks dumped, and not at all like a cad. And she’s left with nothing but the memories.

Kate leave? No way…..she’ll stay the course and he’ll capitulate sooner or later.

That Kate is a bright, determined cookie.

  10. BW says:

It’s very typical of British men to wait until their thirties or forties before they get married, and then marry a woman in their 20’s. William’s just following normal British tradition.

I think the original theory was that it took that long before you had a job and savings and could afford to keep a wife. But also, you could play the field and then decide to settle down later.

  11. raven says:

I’m impressed that he’s going into this training. It’s very serious. And under those circumstances, if they love each other, she’ll wait. He may have learned from his dad’s situation that he’s better off with his true love in the first place. And whoever said she’s homely needs to get the eyes checked.

  12. geronimo says:

Oh I think she’ll hang around, Kate’s had a taste of the high life at the tax payers expense, and she’s just as fond of it as William.
As for his ‘military career’… 🙄

  13. Larissa says:

I find both of them boring and uninteresting, to say the least!

Harry is the real deal! lol

  14. Feebee says:

It’s admirable that Will is continuing his military training but there’s no way in hell he’s going to see any front line action least of all in Iraq/Afghanistan.

As for Kate and America, well there was always speculation about Diana moving to the US so that’s nothing new. As much as she might be ‘in it to win it’ she is in a strange limbo, she doesn’t qualify for any real security but she is hounded by the press (and stalkers with a camera for legitimacy). She’s expected to turn up at events with William as and when needed. It’s a bit hard to hold a real job.

  15. Ned says:

Doesn’t he deserve a woman that actually LOVES him and doesn’t just see him as a way to gain a status and spoiled life at the tax payers expense?

Maybe he suspects that she is in it more for the perks rather than – him.

Any person deserves to be with someone who just wants to be their companion.
He doesn’t need a gold and status digger.

and he can do way better than a spoiled girl who hasn’t done anything in her life but wait for a proposal.

  16. Green Is Good says:

If Wills wants t get rid of Kate, get caught with another woman. Preferably a stripper.

  17. Ggirl says:

After all the diasterous marriages in the Royal Family, including his own parents, who would blame William for dithering? Although I am ashamed to admit that I would like to see he and Kate marry. She knows what she is in for and has tolerated that family’s bs so far. Why set him up for failure if he marries for ‘love’ only to find that his partner can’t hack the pressure of being a member of The Firm? Kate can handle it.

  18. jojo says:

    She looks 45 years old.

  19. emily says:

He’s young, she’s young, why get married? They have a lot of stuffs to do before that. Just enjoy yourself while you’ll still young, that’s my premise.

  20. TinaWithPom says:

I can’t imagine William settling down until his late 30s/early 40s.

Feebee – right on the mark when you said that Kate is in “a strange limbo” when it comes to her long-term relationship with William.

And, of course, Kate is unable to hold down a job. As his longterm girlfriend, I’m sure the Royal Family and others around Kate give her pressure to turn up at events with William “as and when needed.” It’s not fair, but that’s life (well, Kate’s life) when you’re neither “engaged to be engaged,” engaged, nor married to the prince.

Anyone who’s been a longterm girlfriend can probably relate to the pressures of obligatory attendance and stuff like that. A whole lot of responsibility, and none of the emotional security, “settled” status, benefits or perks of actually being a wife. Men who confine their girlfriends to this kind of “strange limbo” for years on end, in my opinion, are supremely selfish (I’m not including girlfriends who don’t want to get married to their boyfriends here).

But then again, William is in his mid-20s. So is Kate.

I wonder if the Royal Family pays for security for her when she travels sans William.

  21. Ned says:

TinaWithPom, what on earth atr you talking about?

Are you stuck in the 17th century or something?

Are you aware the even “wives” today actually go to work, get educated, and have their own hobbies that do not include just going to parties and shopping?

Just because Kate Middleton chose to do nothing with her life, is hardly a reflection on other women (or men).

Even William, who is supposed to have some responsibilities of attending things, actually DOES SOMETHING with his life and serves his country.

Every time I saw a picture of KAte, she seemed nothing short of thrilled to be photographed.

She wants that kind of attention and would love to be a princes. She is in it for the status and the perks of being a princes, not for her love for him and joy of being his companion.

He deserves better on so many levels.

  22. jekha says:

The press are the ones who keep Proposing for William and he’s doing everything but that! It is obvious he does NOT want to marry her. She needs to moooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvvve on!
William is 27 , Kate will be 28 in a few months, William can drag this out for years and years and STILL dump her silly arse. She has behaved stupidly, in my opinion, Kate should have traveled, taken a fashion, artsy museum job in another Country and build her career. She should have let William wonder if SHE wants Him. She is no challenge for him and if she gets a ring out of him, the marriage will probably end in disaster, because I don’t think he is in love with her.
Kate is a clingy woman and acting way too desperate. She and her family have behaved like desperate climbers.
He may have only gone back to her because the press was on his back. Rumour has it he doesnt even see her that much and has the hots for a beautiful aristocratic girl who doesn’t want him.

  23. TinaWithPom says:

NED – Since this IS a gossip site, and this article IS related to something having to do with the British Royal Family (an antiquated system in the oh-so-modern 21st century, yes?), I take your “stuck in the 17th century” exclamation with hilarity and stride.

The institution of marriage, “happily ever afters,” and – oh yes, Ned – love and everything good and bad about love and relationships… these things are universal, still exist, will CONTINUE to exist, and are not CENTURY-specific.

I like to speculate on this site. I’m sure you and everyone else come here to do the same.

Who knows what Kate’s real intentions are? Maybe she DOESN’T have a life, and she SHOULD get a life… OR maybe being a girlfriend to a royal heir IS itself a full-time, time-consuming job. Who the hell knows except Kate and others like her (obviously not me).

Now I see how you got your interesting reputation on this site.

  24. Snoopchew says:

All of you making judgements need to be as patient as Will is in his decisions. He is so young yet and needs to determine how his life right now will pan out towards his future. Not a particular place for any young woman to put her confidence of fidelity in.
He is, just by being the “heir” succeptable to many other women on his journey of experience in life.
I feel very confident that Kate is just a chapter.

  25. Aspen says:

He watched his mother’s life and saw what her choosing to marry the wrong person did to her. He’s right to be careful..and so is Kate. Any woman who dates a Windsor is going to suffer accusations of mercenary, gold-digging intentions.

Whatever the case might be, they two of them will marry when they please.

As an American, I cannot comprehend why the taxpayers of England continue to support the royal family. That said, it certainly is romantic.

  26. Sara says:

In college Kate was caught on video mooning her arse from a window. She comes from a long line of social climbers. I see nothing of refinement in her face or any trace of class, which Diana had in oodles. Kate is a hard looking person and looks old for her age. I won’t bother to watch this wedding like I did Charles and Diana. What interests, besides herself, does Kate have? She has not learned anything except how to spend money to try to make herself look better. She is not a natural beauty as Diana was. Do you recall all of the issues Diana was involved with? Kate is an airhead. The Royals have sunk low if that’s all William can get. He does not seem all that interested in her either…having broken it off a few years back. Her reaction to that was to dress like a slut and hang out in nightclubs. William, you can do better.

  27. Karina says:

I have been observing pictures of her and I believe she has got permanent make up on her eyes.
