Nicole Richie seems to have stayed on the straight and narrow since her first pregnancy, with now 18-month-old Harlow. As Nicole is expecting her second child with boyfriend Joel Madden, she’s been keeping her public appearances pretty limited, only promoting her sold-out line of costume jewelry and doing various charitable deeds. It’s been a while since I’d read anything about her, so I kind of thought my girl was doing well. Not so much, if this “eyewitness” account from the National Enquirer is any indication. Well they say Nicole is still okay, but that she might be having big issues with Joel. It seems Joel is a little tired of the quiet life with Nicole and has been out in LA, making an ass out of himself. Eyewitness accounts describe Joel’s behavior as “raucous”, “out of control” and “acting like a total tool”. He was buying some tattooed vixen drinks, and he even got her digits:
While pregnant Nicole Richie sat home with 18-month-old daughter Harlow, boyfriend Joel Madden spent the night “drinking and flirting” – and then exchanged phone numbers! – with a sexy, tattooed brunette at the Hollywood club Guys & Dolls, an eyewitness told The Enquirer.
[A disc-jockey gig turned] into a raucous boys’ night out – acting “out of control and definitely behaving like a single guy,” the source told the Enquirer.
“Instead of staying home with pregnant Nicole, he was acting like a total tool – smoking, drinking Red Bull and vodka, and buying drinks for a woman at the club who was hanging all over him.”
“He was definitely acting like a complete Hollywood player.”
Joel started the flirting, says the insider – and the tattooed beauty flirted right back. “She twirled her hair and kept leaning in closely and whispering in his ear. Joel smiled at her, touched her, and bought her a Heineken. And that was all she needed – she hung onto him for the rest of the night.”
The two even exchanged phone numbers.
“It was such a tacky thing to do in front of people who knew he had a girlfriend at home waiting for him,” continued the eyewitness. “I’m sure he had some major explaining to do when he got home.”

“Tacky” is the right word. One of my worries for/about Nicole has always been that Joel isn’t in this for the long haul, and that she would get her heart broken. Hopefully, if any of this “eyewitness” account is true, Nicole gave Joel an ultimatum – straighten out or I’m out. But something tells me Nicole isn’t one for ultimatums.

Is this surprising to anyone? He is in a band. Isn’t that how they’re supposed to act? I’m just kidding, but really, who knows what their relationship is? No one but them. Some people have open relationships – they probably don’t, but you never know.

I have to say bull on this story. He may be a rocker with a lot of tattoos but Joel is known to be more of a homebody not a womanizing party animal. He doesn’t drink and I can’t remember if he smokes.

I have a hard time telling Benji and Joel apart. Even their older brother looks just like them IMO.
Hope it was Benji because I’m rootin’ for Nicole. She seems to be trying to do the right thing as a mother and a
businesswoman. It would be a dirty shame if Joel screwed that up. And I would bet she does NOT approve of an open relationship.

This story sounds like total crap. Of course, consider the source. I follow Joel Madden on Twitter and it’s obvious he’s not out jukin’ and jivin’ with hordes of mystery women. He posted pics of himself and a brunette on Twitter a few nights ago, and the woman was obviously a fellow musician, added to the fact that he was at the club promoting himself and his band, dj-ing with some other musicians. Terrible how all this crud gets started.

I agree with a fellow poster: the Madden boys are as ugly as sin. And I’ll even go a step further: everytime I see a picture of their baby, I wince. There are no genes between the two of them that I’d like to see being passed on. **And for all the crap I talk, I don’t plan to have kids**

At the beginning, I was outraged (Who wouldn’t?) untill I did a check up! (yeah I know I have nothing to do but that’s what i do when i see stories like these…blame my sister for that)
The thing is that it wasn’t joel…it was actually Benji. The pictures are on X17 online. I remember bc it was Kendra’s bachelorette party ( yes i did watch some episode of kendra…bash me later.)

Can’t blame him, poor Nicole has no personality and how come her arms look skinny again? I don’t think she ever totally got over her eating disorder. Even pregnant she probably weighs less than most non-pregnant women.

Ironically I just read this article in the National Enquirer tonight. I immediately thought it was bulls**t. First of all, Joel IS a flirt. I’ve seen him flirting with girls before my very eyes at countless GC shows. But, that is just him and his personality. He is very friendly. From the way he talks about Nicole and Harlow, however, you can tell that he loves them both very much and wouldn’t do anything stupid to jeopardize his little family.
As for you people who say the Maddens are ugly and that Good Charlotte isn’t a good band, you are so wrong. The Maddens are adorable and I love their band with all my heart.

this is the stupidest story i have ever heard. first of all– joel doesn’t drink. second of all. his personal assistant is probably that ‘tattooed vixen’ and she has worked for him for like 6 years and definitely isn’t any competition for nicole nor does she desire to be. these stories are ridiculous. joel does a lot of DJ gigs. it’s his job to party. duh.

This story reads very “made up”, no pun intended, I find it difficult to believe he would do any thing like what is detail here. It must have been Benji as he is dating some girl who hangs real molar teeth around her neck on a cheap chain and eats cupcakes…lol…it’s true.
