Chris Pratt & Katherine Schwarzenegger recently moved in together

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger are smitten after a date night at R+D Kitchen

Considering how religious – and performatively religious – Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger are, there were some questions about sex. As in, are they having sex? My thought is that neither of them are young, promise-ring types – Chris is a divorced single father close to 40 years old. The jig is up, you know? My guess is that they probably waited until they knew they loved each other (never the worst idea) before giving it up. This new People story sort of confirms my belief:

The newly engaged Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger recently moved in together, a source tells PEOPLE.

“Since they started dating, Katherine has taken Chris to all of her favorite neighborhood places,” says the insider. “And Chris clearly likes her neighborhood.”

Pratt, 39, who used to live in the Hollywood Hills with ex-wife Anna Faris, joined his 29-year-old fiancée in west Los Angeles. In his divorce settlement with Faris, 42, the exes agreed to live no further than five miles apart from each other until their 6-year-old son Jack completed the sixth grade. The Mom actress, who’s dating cinematographer Michael Barrett, also now lives in west Los Angeles.

The actor helped Schwarzenegger move out of her home in Santa Monica, California, on Friday. He shared a sweet video of the day on Instagram with the caption, “I love moving!!” Pratt proposed to Schwarzenegger just under seven months after the two were first spotted together on a Father’s Day picnic in L.A.

[From People]

This article is a whirlwind – first they make it sound like Chris moved in with Katherine, but then they say he helped HER move? Obviously, he would have the bigger house – he’s got Marvel money and Jurassic World money – and he’s got self-imposed restrictions on where he will live because of joint custody of Jack. So it makes more sense that she moved in with him, and there’s enough evidence to suggest that they were already doing sleepovers before then, and that she was quite comfortable in his home and in his life. My verdict: they’ve been banging for months now.

So…thre’s a chance they, gasp!, might have sex before marriage?

    *Clutches pearls and faints*

    • Mama says:

Well I read from a “reliable source” that “God is going to be a part of this marriage.”

I wonder if God moved in with them too?

    • Himmiefan says:

By his own rules then, he’s being a hypocrite.

      • broodytrudy says:

Has Chris spoken out against sex before marriage? I’m confused on the backlash and the hate here. Chris isn’t my favorite person, but like i said yesterday, Christianity is his brand. But i don’t recall Chris ever saying anything like you shouldn’t bang before getting married. I think it’s something parents tell their kids, vs it being doctrine, right? Maybe I’m confused.

      • Bettyrose says:

        Broody,

I think we just all have PTSD from the non stop hypocrisy spewed by self identified evangelicals. Chris might not be doing this, but if he’s calling himself an evangelical, it’s a reasonable assumption that he shares their ideas about denying birth control coverage and banning abortion.

      • Himmiefan says:

Broodytrudy, it’s a common Christian teaching not to have sex outside of marriage. Chris and Katherine aren’t married yet.

    • whatWHAT? says:

      SINNERS.

  2. PhillyGal says:

Yeah, many of these “religious” folk pick and choose what rules they want to follow and which ones they want to ignore.

    • Millennial says:

I never figured she was as religious as claimed anyways. According to what I’ve read, all the Schwarzenegger siblings have been kinda rude to Arnold’s secret child from the nanny debacle. Like purposely go out of their way to exclude him from the family and haven’t made an effort to get to know him. Which, considering it’s not the kids fault, doesn’t exactly scream “Christian” and “do unto orhers…” to me.

      • Oc says:

It’s a complicated situation. Maybe they feel that being close to their half sibling would be another betrayal to their mother. In this case, it’s the job of their father and of their mother (that would be something really hard to do but the right thing to do) to make them see that the boy was a victim as much as them.

      • Kittycat says:

I really dont except katherine to have a relationship with the half-brother.
        Not necessary.

      • Millennial says:

They certainly don’t have to, but my remark was on what would be considered the Christian thing to do… and that would be to be kind to someone. Just my two cents.

      • Ader says:

I agree that it’s hypocritical. If you’re going to put your “religion” on display, then walk the walk. But then again, I am super biased on this point. Every religious person I have ever met has been the opposite of kind. (Not saying that there aren’t kind religious people. Just saying that in my 40-something years, I have yet to meet one. The ones I know are all Trump-supporting racists.)

      • Cara says:

Why not? Chris is extremely religious and they both go to that whacky cult hillsong church. I can’t imagine him not marrying some woman who didn’t live “boldly in faith”

  3. Notyouraveragehousewife says:

    And Jesus wept.

  4. Cidy says:

Should probably live with someone well before you decide to marry them.

    • Lama Bean says:

But according to Christians, that’s not what Jesus would do. It’s frowned upon. The source of many a wagging finger and pearl clutches.

      • Nikki says:

Maybe it’s not what he would do, but he didn’t pass any judgement on a woman who’d had 5 husbands and was living with someone. Not what I’m seeing from many of the comments today!

      • Thirsty Hirsty says:

yeah, but those guys are living in the Old Testament….the new covenant, the New Testament, gives love the highest and most important place before all other rules

  5. Lala11_7 says:

The hypocrisy…is disgusting….and I wouldn’t have that stance if he wasn’t involved and pushing a religious narrative that is REAL COOL with subjugating other folks very lives….

    • Bryn says:

I’m no fan of Chris or religion but I don’t think he did any of those things, he’s said he’s religious but I don’t think he’s been pushing a narrative or anything.

      • Cara says:

Um, he literally tried to proselytize people while excepting a freaking kids choice award or something.

      • Lizzie says:

he erected a 20 ft cross to overlook his neighborhood one easter…

      • MC2 says:

Are these comments just bot trolls? Seriously, I’m not just being mean. These comments seem to undermine WHATEVER is being proposed.
Living “Boldly in faith”, especially while famous, talking about it all the time & being a member of Hillsong, IS pushing a narrative. And it wasn’t said he did “many things” it was said he did one thing- push a religious narrative- which HE ADMITS HE DOES. Face palm.

  6. paranormalgirl says:

    none of my business.

  7. Elena says:

    Well Jenelle…

  8. Miss M says:

    I hope Jesus approved…

    • Bettyrose says:

As much as Jesus approves of “christians” being sanctimonious.

ETA, that comment was directed at our political climate, not at you Miss M.

      • Miss M says:

No worries, Betty Rose. I am catholic, but there are times I rolled my eyes with the super Christians that pick and choose which rules to follow. They are usually hypocrits…

  9. Lizzie says:

    priyanka and nick 2.0

are we going to get a story every day until they’re married? chris pratt and katherine schwarzenegger in love while getting coffee. chris and katherine go to church then eat brunch like holding hands. katherine seen buying modern bride at whole foods. chris and katherine go to pre-marriage classes to affirm their faith and gazed lovingly at one another.

    • diana says:

Omg yes. I can’t wait for them to get married and live happily ever after. Just go away for a bit.

    • Millennial says:

Yeah the PR pieces in People every day are getting to be overkill. I’m happy for them, I think they make a good pair. But I’m kind side-eyeing the rollout here. I kinda makes it seem like she’s trying to pivot into a Christian influencer and Chris is trying to Mark Wahlberg his career – in the sense that Mark made a name for himself among conservative fans by doing patriotic movies.

    • Himmiefan says:

Yeah, they’re just not that interesting. On this site, I’m going to start sticking to the Meghan stories. I think a lot more highly of her than I do Chris.

    • Colleen says:

Same feeling, these two are so boring! I mean, good for them, but do we really need these daily updates of nothingness?

  10. Flying fish says:

All the press on these on these two is starting to annoy me.

  11. Svea says:

Nah. I get why the kids can’t relate to Joseph. Mildred was a fixture in their home. She not only betrayed Maria, but the kids as well whom, I’m sure, loved her. Mildred having been part of the family makes it exponentially more painful on Maria and everyone. If Arnold had had an affair with a complete stranger, things could be different. These wounds take a long time to heal. In the meantime, Joseph has a good relationship with his father and that is what counts.

  12. Notyouraveragehousewife says:

My super religious Pentecostal mom hated that I lived in sin with my boyfriends before I got married but deep down I think she was happy to have her heathen daughter out of her house. So, really it was a win-win scenario in the end.

  13. Mama says:

    Oooooooo…. that is not Christ-like.

  14. maria s says:

Well, I think the no sex before marriage is more like something parents say to their children when they start dating seriously. I come from a religious family and I’ve never heard people make those comments about adults. Not that’s it’s really discussed either it’s just their own business.

    • Chaine says:

Oh lord, my super religious family didn’t want a 35 year old to sleep in the same bedroom with a 28 year old fiancé while visiting because it would be a “bad influence” on the younger sibling who lived at home. The younger sibling was 24.

    • Snowflake says:

Oh, no. It’s a religious thing, even if you’re an adult. My Christian senior mom felt guilty having sex before marriage with her now 2nd husband.

  15. Gurl says:

    This isn’t a surprise.

I think he’s been pursuing the Christian angle to help his numbers at the box office. Kinda like when Jennifer Garner would wear her Amish dresses to church when she was trying to corner the Christian demographic for her movies.

Chris spoke of considering going the surrogate route BC the pregnancy was so stressful.

Christians frown upon surrogacy big-time. (I know, I know Nicole Kidman—Catholic—used a surrogate but I’m just saying what the church puts out there.

If you are going to go about “God’s plan” then isn’t surrogacy contrary to that Mr. Pratt?

Bottom line: I think he’s one of those showy Christian chest bumpers but fake and showy.

I think she figures if I marry the Religious movie star, he won’t cheat on me shamelessly like daddy Arnold did with mommy Maria.

    • Himmiefan says:

Actually, there’s no one Christian teaching on surrogacy. Some approve, other disapprove, but that’s just their personal opinions.

    • Thirsty Hirsty says:

My personal opinion is I wish they would choose adoption over surrogacy. The same way I wish folks would go the the shelter or a licensed, registered breeder instead of some back yard “breeder” who is in it for the money, and does nothing to increase the health and welfare of the breed itself. Though I don’t remember anything in the bible on surrogacy, I cannot help but think there’s a lot of ‘self-pride’ involved in getting someone else to carry a child made of their own egg and sperm combo, when there are so many children who can only dream of a safe, secure home. They may not be able to save them all….but hey, they sure could make a difference to one or two……

  16. PlayItAgain says:

I’m shocked…SHOCKED… that Chris Pratt is a hypocrite.
In my experience, most “Christians” who go around trumpeting their faith and self-righteously touting how “right” they are, are hypocrites.

The ones who quietly go about their business and walk the walk—they’re the real deal.

    • PhillyGal says:

      Bingo, PLAYITAGAIN.

    • Thirsty Hirsty says:

Thank you for your thoughtful comment; I acknowledge my hypocrisy in that I’m having a hell of a time forgiving a long ago betrayal. It’s a struggle, sometimes daily and sometimes it pops into my heart unexpectedly. I have to work through the emotions each time, to reach a place of calm and then forgiving the person for being human, because only One was ever perfect. Still and all, it’s in the striving we learn. A person who is Christian will still be a person who f**ks up regularly, because that’s the human condition……

  17. Eliza says:

Weren’t there rumors he cheated on Anna.

Even if not, they had sleepovers and moved in together. Let’s not be naive. He’s “super” religious in the sense he believes he can sin and be saved, while judging others for their same sins.

    • Thirsty Hirsty says:

No, she was the cheater, not him, in my understanding ….. I haven’t heard of him being judge-y about others for their same sins?

  18. stella m says:

Not interested in the religion debate but why so much coverage on Katherine Schwarzenegger? She’s Arnie’s daughter, part of the extended Kennedy clan and now, engaged to an actor. But really, what has she done that’s so newsworthy?

    • WOW says:

Someone calling themselves religious is something that stirs a lot of controversy, that’s why they’re being reported on so much, in my opinion.

  19. girl_ninja says:

I’ve known many catholics who bang before marriage and wait on moving in together until AFTER the wedding. I know that many in the evangelical sect don’t have sex at all before marriage. Some don’t even kiss until their wedding day.

    He looks like her uncle.

  20. Genessee says:

Why do people keep saying he’s part of Hillsong? He’s part of ZoeChurchLA. A different Xtian chuch.

Ok. Its still a mega church of the Pentecostal tradition, but still…I think a wee bit less culty?

  21. Gigi La Moore says:

We have no way of knowing if they are having sex. Even if they are, it is between them and their God.

  22. Ksweet says:

Count me in to the group who thinks he’s a pretentious hypocrite. I’ll never go see a movie with him in it again. Who cares about these people? Their brand of “Christianity” is what’s ruined this country.

  23. Michel says:

I’ve got nothing except to say I really dislike this guy.

  24. Mina says:

And then you wonder why he’d think he’s scrutinized over his religion when this is a topic of discussion.

  25. Bella Bella says:

All I can say is she is very pretty and lucked out with the gene pool, considering.
