Prince William ‘works out with some of the mums’ after he drops off George at school

William and Kate attend the St Patrick's Day Parade

I was surprised – I guess? – by some of the people arguing that Prince William and Duchess Kate would never, ever use a family photo-op to change the subject away from a bad gossip cycle. Over the weekend, the Cambridge family (minus Prince Lou) were photographed in Norfolk, where they watched Zara Tindall at some horse trials. Coming on the heels of several weeks of gossip about Prince William possibly banging Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley, the photo-op seemed convenient and obvious to me. Especially since the Cambridges weren’t mad about it, they didn’t threaten the outlets posting the photos, and they seemed to package the photos with some “approved” articles about their happy home life. Again, their now-senior advisor Jason Knauf was always this f–king obvious.

What’s funny to me is that now that there are so many whispers about Will’s wandering scepter, there’s an undercurrent to even the sanctioned articles about the Happy Normal Cambridge family. Katie Nicholl at Vanity Fair did a piece this week called “Inside Prince George’s Surprisingly Normal Kindergarten Life which has precious little new information other than “Prince George likes his school, he has lots of friends and his friends call him PG.” There were a few funny parts though:

When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children joined their cousins for a day of fun at the Burnham Horse Trials on Friday, it was a charming and rare glimpse into their daily lives. The family is spending the Easter holidays at their countryside home, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk. “They are just enjoying being a family and having a well-earned break over the Easter,” said a source close to the family.

The Cambridges are likely to be grateful for the family time following a turbulent past week of responding to unsubstantiated rumors. Royal lawyers recently issued an unprecedented letter that warned publications not to repeat a story published in a U.S. magazine. The palace has refuted the story, which lawyers claim is “false and highly damaging,” according to The Daily Beast.

Their lives back at Kensington seem to display more of that normalcy. Prince George, five, is more than halfway through Year 1 at Thomas’s Battersea, a school in south London that costs £6,000 per term. It is co-ed, unlike the schools that William and Prince Harry attended as children. In September, Charlotte, who turns four on May 2, is set to join George at Thomas’s, where pupils are offered activities including fencing, philosophy, gardening, and pottery.

“George is really happy at school, [and] his nickname is P.G.,” says a fellow parent. “He’s very popular and has lots of friends, and there’s very little fuss made about who he is. Either William or Kate do drop off, and they are always very friendly. William particularly loves to have a chat with some of the other parents and he works out with some of the mums at the Harbour Club after drop off. He’s very chatty and amiable.”

The prince has made many friends at Thomas’s and enjoys play dates and parties. He is particularly close to his another royal cousin who is also his classmate, Maud Windsor, the daughter of Lord Freddie Windsor and Sophie Winkleman. No doubt when Princess Charlotte joins, it will be quite the royal royal bunch.

[From Vanity Fair]

“They are just enjoying being a family and having a well-earned break over the Easter…” Kate has done one public appearance in the past month, and that was on March 28th. What is this “well-earned break” they speak of? But that’s not what really caught my eye, it was this: “Either William or Kate do drop off, and they are always very friendly. William particularly loves to have a chat with some of the other parents and he works out with some of the mums at the Harbour Club after drop off. He’s very chatty and amiable.” Well. WELL. The thing is, even if you believe William is trying to groove on the “yummy mummies” after the drop off, I have serious doubts about William’s game. Like, does he have any game? I suppose it doesn’t matter to some women because he’s the Future King. Once again, it feels like royal reporters are using some kind of archaic code to speak of Willy’s wandering scepter, right?

“I’m not like normal dads, I’m a cool dad.”

This story is weird af, leave the kids outta these shenanigans. They don’t need this nonsense in their lives

    • LT says:

      Oh No,

Yes! That’s it exactly. Perfect quote for this.

      • Oh No says:

It’s like using a child to block you while playing dodgeball…they need to hire better PR lol

      • paranormalgirl says:

Wait, you’re not supposed to use your kids as blocking devices in dodgeball? Motherin’, I’m doing it wrong!

Just joking… yes, good analogy. Don’t use your kids to deflect from adult situations.

    • Becks1 says:

Co-sign this entire comment. this was basically my reaction below, but you put it better, lol.

    • Bella DuPont says:

      Also,

“Like, does he have any game?”

Some women like really arrogant, powerful men; so yes, I can imagine he does have some game. The only downers would be his dullness, meanness and the tumble-weed garden on his head.

      • Becks1 says:

Yes, I think many people here underestimate the appeal that being a rich prince/future king has for many people.

      • Kittycat says:

        Women go for prisoners.

Some people will go after anything!

      • 90sgirl says:

I vaguely remember a story last year about how William liked picking up PG when one of the mothers at school, who is a model would pick up her child and Kate was bothered by it. That was the gist of the story from what I recall.

I get the feeling one of these days, all these stories will be like connect the dots, to his wandering eye.

      • Mego says:

90’sgirl: the story was that Kate goes very much under the radar when dropping off the kids and it was mentioned that one of the mothers was a model and all the dads were looking at her (not Kate).

  2. Eliza says:

It’s a cycle. Many people can’t break the mold they observed growing up. His parents cheated. His grandfather cheated. Aunts,
uncles, generations of the aristocracy believing they’re above monogamy. Both Harry and William have had cheating rumors while dating in the past. It’s anyone really surprised?

    • BayTampaBay says:

Someone on the Quora website described the Cambridge-Hanbury saga as the “Will trimming the Rose bush story”. I thought that was hilarious and spit coffee all over my keyboard.

    • BayTampaBay says:

Which one of William’s uncle supposedly cheated? I must have missed that story in the Daily Fail! LOL! LOL!

      • Tina says:

I’m sure Andrew got up to all sorts when he was married to Fergie, but Charlie Spencer is definitely a serial cheater.

      • Mego says:

Oh good heavens let’s not forget that womanizing jackarse. How many marriages has he gone through?

      • notasugarhere says:

        At least three marriages.

      • Tina says:

Three marriages, seven children (and a partridge in a pear tree).

      • BayTampaBay says:

Forgot about Charles Spencer because he is not a Royal only a nearly-royal. Maybe being nearly-royal is why Charles Spencer is such an a$$hole.

I never thought Andrew was “up to all sorts” after his marriage. I always got the feeling he really-really loved Sarah. I also find it strange that Andrew never seriously dated (at least to my knowledge) after his divorce from Fergie. All the women he was connect with by the tabloids also said on the record that they were just very-very good friends.

      • (THE REAL)@Jan90067 says:

And Auntie Anne (with step-mother Cam’s husband (who himself was a notorious womanizer)-while he was married to Cam, and Anne to Phillips) and Fergie, most notably with her toe-sucking “financial advisor”… Philip with any woman with a pulse, it goes on and on…

Didn’t Kate tell Chelsey to “get used to the cheating; it comes with “the job”?”

I don’t think Kate would care, as long as it NEVER becomes public and has it pushed in her face. Frankly, from all I read, the Aristos are pretty incestuous when it comes to sleeping with each other (other Aristos, NOT bro/sis lol).

      • Tina says:

@BTB, the Spencers are old-school aristos. They would never consider themselves “nearly” anything. And who knows about Andrew’s proclivities, but his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein leads me to not want to find anything out about them.

      • Tourmaline says:

@(THE REAL), Princess Anne was also cheating on Mark Phillips with her soon to be second husband Tim Laurence who was a royal equerry. Apparently Anne wrote racy letters to Tim (shudder) and they fell in the wrong hands. But I don’t think Mark was too bothered as he was apparently cheating too and they were both pretty much over their marriage well before they divorced.

      • BayTampaBay says:

Jeffrey Epstein…I totally forgot about Andrew being mixed up with that scumbag!

  3. Melly says:

Aristocrats/ royals men historically like having affairs with married women because they’d be less likely to blab about it. Just saying…

  4. Becks1 says:

    Huh. Just….huh.

We hear so little about George and his school, and now we have this article about William going to the gym with the moms after drop off? that seems….oddly specific. Anyway, again, obvious PR is obvious.

Also, I feel like these types of articles and comments always make me scratch my head because I think they serve as a reminder of how little Will and Kate work. I would love to go to the gym and work out with my friends every day after the kids go to school. I cant because I have to work.

    • Becks1 says:

Also, I howled at “well deserved break.” FROM WHAT PRAY TELL!!!!

      • Betsy says:

This. At least (so far) we haven’t gotten this garbage from Meghan and Harry, because it is SUCH GARBAGE from William and Kate. These two twits never work!

    • Ainsley7 says:

I took the line about the much deserved break to mean the kids. George and Charlotte go to school a whole 5 days a week. Will and Kate probably think it’s criminal the way they are worked so hard and at such a young age!

I agree that Will going to the gym with the moms is such a weird detail. I’m not entirely sure if it’s hinting at morning orgies or meant to make him seem devoted to family life. Either way, it’s odd.

      • Esmom says:

I took it to mean that he’s so humble and normal that he has no problem hanging out with the moms vs. being above it all as most princes might be, lol. It also seemed to subtly reinforce any hints of infidelity. Who knows.

      • Becks1 says:

You could be right, those poor kids!!

The gym thing is such a weird thing to include, and whenever there is a tidbit like that in there I ask myself, “why.” Is it to make him seem more normal, like he doesn’t have a gym in his house, he has to go to a private club and work out with the school mums? Is it some shade about William’s relationship with some of the other parents? Is it just a random tidbit that ends up emphasizing that he does not work as much as the normal working parent?

      • Kittycat says:

Isnt it the problem with royalty in the 21 century?

They cant exercise their power, the are watched 24 hours, and plus they have to act normal when they live in castles.

They are out of touch with reality.

      • Who ARE These People? says:

I took it as “he’s so normal” also … and in a weird way, maybe that he’s such a normal modern dad he hangs with the mums too, maybe to make it seem more normal if he’s spotted hanging with one particular aristocratic mum who is not his wife? I don’t know. There’s so much spin surrounding these people and only some of it makes sense.

      • Nic919 says:

It’s very odd that a story about him working out with the moms when there are affair rumours still hanging about. Had the story stopped at him dropping George off at school and being a dedicated parent it would make more sense.

      • notasugarhere says:

Nic919, could be trying to spin William can hang out with attractive women and not be tempted at all.

      • Becks1 says:

@Nota that’s kind of what I think. Or so if a story comes out that William and Rose hung out a lot in Norfolk, it is just that “William has lots of female friends!”

      • 10KTurtle says:

I took it to mean he’s taking Zumba classes and he’s in the front row. Hah!

  5. Charfromdarock says:

    “ Willy’s wandering scepter”
That made me snort with laughter.

  6. Goofpuff says:

It really does highlight how little they work. And the PR is so weird. They try to make them normal but they just sound super out of touch and bizarrely fake. I’d rather a real article on how they are like. And yes it does feel like thinly veiled Wills is hitting up the married hit mommas.

  7. Digital Unicorn says:

Weird and oddly specific article that suggests that he has wandered closer to home than we think and yeah I can totally see the yummy mummies being all over him.

So much for him never using his children as PR tools – Big Willy is a chip off the old block.

Also, what has them soo exhausted they need a break? It ain’t work thats for sure – maybe being a PR genius has taken a toll on his big brain.

    • Becks1 says:

The article almost seems to begging someone to do a bit of research into it – “the school mums! The Harbour Club!!!!!”

      • Digital Unicorn says:

        Haha – indeed.

If it is sanctioned then all is does is add more fuel to the fire, instead of us all thinking he was getting it on with Rose in the hothouse among the turnips to he’s getting it on with a married yummy mummy in the steam room/jacuzzi.

      • BayTampaBay says:

Is not the Harbour Club the place where Diana worked out and got papped while working out by a hidden camera? Maybe I have my health clubs mixed -up as this happen many many moons ago.

      • notasugarhere says:

It is Diana’s old gym (Harbour), but the photos were at LA Fitness Centre in London

      • The Hench says:

Yep. ‘Cos both Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall are way too small to fit a running machine and some dumb-bells into…

    • TQ says:

@ Digital Unicorn – totally agree.

      • Redgrl says:

Yep. And why be so specific to say mums? It’s 2019 – there must be some men who drop kids off and go to the gym? But he’s not hanging with them!

      • Jumpingthesnark says:

LA fitness!!! If Megan was spotted working out there the RR and brexiters would go berserko!!

      • BayTampaBay says:

Is commentariat of the Daily Fail still trying to blame failure of BREXSHIT negotiations on Megs?

    • Bella DuPont says:

I do believe he has a big brain….I mean, have you seen the size of his head?! Although, just how much of his big brain is actively in use at any one time, is an entirely different question.

I took the yummy mummy/workout story to be an allegory for “Will has platonic relationships with women all over the place, any stories stating otherwise are fantasy”

    • 90sgirl says:

William has a history of ending up with those in close proximity, if he finds them attractive and willing or overtures are reciprocated ,that’s how he and Kate hooked up. She was basically in his Uni school house or ended up there.
So I can believe there are hints in the article.
I think it will be drip, drip, drip for now on his cheating Rumours and then one day in the future, all hell will break loose.

I was watching a Netflix documentary on The Windsors and it’s amazing how much is in public, yet written off as untrue by gatekeepers around them and denied by the Palace for years, yet turns out to be true.

One former Palace PR officer in the documentary , described it as putting a bandaid on a boil for years ,until it pops and the truth oozes out.

    • Tiffany says:

      @Digital.

What chose do they have. George, Charlotte and Louis are the only reason they are interesting to being with.

    • Himmiefan says:

He works out with mums! Oh my gosh, it’s The Windsors! If you haven’t seen the show, run, don’t walk to Netflix.

  8. Marigold says:

I don’t for one second believe that child is called PG at school.

    • Becks1 says:

I don’t believe it because I thought the child didn’t even KNOW He was going to be king, and had no idea that this great grandmother was the queen, etc. He’s just the normal son of normal Bill.

But now he goes by PG? Make up your mind, Kensington PR team.

    • Digital Unicorn says:

His initials are also a popular brand of tea here in the UK – PG Tips so the reference could be for that.

    • Monicack says:

They revealed years ago that they often call him PG after the tea brand PG Tips.

  9. Isabelle says:

LMAO the Cambridges are so desperate.

    • 90sgirl says:

      Yup. Lol

    • Sharon Lea says:

Yes, these stories are making them seem rather desperate. William insisted nothing be written about them in their 20s and now trying to switch it. Wonder if Kate has harangued William for it.

  10. Reese. says:

Well now we know he is working, working out everyday is tough work. Needs a well deserved break from that.

  11. Tina says:

Big Willy Style’s ALL in it. And yes, highlighting that he essentially lives the same lifestyle as the yummy mummies of West London does not speak well of his work ethic. How does this fit in with his oh-so-important three week stint at the intelligence agencies? It’s all complete window dressing.

    • Esmom says:

So true. My sister’s husband stays home with the kids and has become “one of the moms” precisely because he doesn’t have outside employment any more.

    • Betsy says:

He is so utterly and completely lazy.

  12. Monica says:

They’re selling their kids to the tabloids. Awful

    • BayTampaBay says:

To be fair Victoria & Albert did the same thing to some degree to sell the Royal Family as the perfect English family.

      • Nic919 says:

Yes and we later find out just how dysfunctional they were.

      • BayTampaBay says:

Nic919, Agree with you the the V&A family was dysfunctional but just trying to make the point that using Royal Kiddies for PR has been going on forever. The only sovereign that did not use his children in such a way was Edward VII.

  13. Allison says:

What? He’s shagging all the mums?

  14. Eyfalia says:

What is Prince William interested in? For what does he burn? His main interests seem to be vacationing, party, sex and soccer and a tiny bit heli flying. Otherwise he seems to be generally bored with everything and everybody.

    • Becks1 says:

I don’t think we really know. I want to give him a little bit of credit, in that he is the future King, so his role in the family has always been different from someone like Harry’s, and I think that has kind of stamped out some of his passions. But, he can look to his father, who was in a similar position (not the same, but similar), and what Charles did with the Prince’s Trust, and his passion for organic farming and the environment, and use that as a guide. But he hasn’t done that.

      • BayTampaBay says:

Not everyone agrees with what Charles has done but he has done many things for the greater good. I am particularly impressed with the work he did to say save Dumfries House in Scotland by turning it into a self-sustaining working model farm, model craft school and convention venue.

    • Mego says:

Unfortunately those are his passions and why he looks bored. He doesn’t possess much in the way of character or depth. Nor does Kate.

    • RoyalBlue says:

Eyfalia his passions are being written in a script as we speak. The courtiers have been creating this list of passions for this grown ass man in his late 30s. Wasn’t it last month he was in Switzerland interviewing David Attenborough about the environment? Didn’t they send him off on an high profile trip last year to Israel. And finally he did a three week internship with the spies. These three are supposed to signify him getting more serious work suiting a king. But they come across as chores rather than passions

      • Kittycat says:

        @BELLA DUPONT

        Hahaha

        Thanks for the video!

      • BayTampaBay says:

I hate to bring this up but I wonder what William would have become it Diana had lived. Diana said to someone (I read it in a book but cannot remember which one and I am paraphrasing) that “William was the one with problems not Harry. I worry more about William than Harry”

      • Sharon Lea says:

Great post RoyalBlue, and so right, these come off as chores compared to what Harry is doing, or even Charles with his organic farming and historic home restorations.

    • PrincessK says:

Unfortunately one of Willy’s passions is supposed to be mental health and anti bullying. He is going to have a hard time with those two after the way he appears to have shown no concern about the attacks on Meghan, and if the rumours are truth his wife’s mental health can’t be too great if he has been playing in the Rose bush.

  15. Chef Grace says:

That well earned break caught my eye too.
Gosh that gossip turbulence must be so exhausting.
Working out with the mums is the new code word for Wandering Willy Weenie.

    • WineGrrl says:

I was TRYING not to picture him in yoga pants. Now… aaaggggghhhh! It’s yoga pants and a wandering willy. My eyes! My brain! Make it stop!

  16. Shilohray says:

I always find it funny that when Katie Nicholl’s writes anything about the Sussexes it is regarded as pure garbage, however when one is written about the Cambridges it is planted or true.

The bit about George being called PG tells me this piece is pure fanfic dreamt up by the writer.

    • Becks1 says:

I actually think a lot of her pieces are “planted,” even if they are pure fanfic, about the Sussexes or Cambridges.

ETA and because I think they are planted – I then always ask why. Katie Nicholl didn’t just decide to write this puff piece about William working out after drop off.

      • Yessicaj says:

Isn’t Katie Nicholls the same woman that said Harry first knew of Meghan when he watched Suits but during the engagement interview Harry said he’s never watched Suits! Out of all the royal correspondents Katie has one of the least credibility. If the palace were going to leak it wouldn’t be through her.

      • Becks1 says:

I don’t think the palace leaks via Katie. I think the Cambridges do, or at least Carole Middleton. She is the one who usually writes the puff pieces about Carole and the Middletons and there is always a ton of “they are such a normal middle class family!” around her articles. If they aren’t leaking to her, then she is writing these articles very carefully in an effort to get back in their good graces.

      • notasugarhere says:

KN is the one Kate used to call from hotel rooms when she was on vacation with William. She’s also the one William bullied into writing a pro-Kate piece that ended up being tongue in cheek. She considered herself part of their set and learned otherwise. Now she’s steaming about Harry and Meghan.

      • Angiedown says:

The journalist starts off by saying the Cambridges are family orientated then goes off to say how William likes to work out in the gym with the mothers. If this was supposed to be a gushing piece to quieten the rumors then it’s a strange tidbit to include as well as suggesting the Cambridges have a lot of free time on their hands. This is why I don’t believe this particular story was planted by KP.

      • Becks1 says:

@angiedown – see, that’s exactly why I think this was from the Cambridges. I feel like you can usually tell when William is behind a story because there is always something included that you can tell was probably designed to make William and/or Kate look good (here, its that William is so normal and down to earth, he works out with the school mums on a regular basis!!!) but it really just makes you scratch your head and think, “I don’t think that conveyed the point they wanted to convey.”

    • 90sgirl says:

Yes, Katie Nicholl called Kate’s personal phone when she was on vacation with William and no one else in the press at the time knew where they were yet, at that point.

Also there was one article of one of the Daily Mail reporters walked right up to the Middleton back door at their former home and was greeted by Pippa and Carole inside and let in.

    • V says:

Stories are authomatically false (usually every story about M&G that is less than positive),planted (by Will &Carole),or true (usually peverythung about the Cambridges that is less than positive) ,depending on the type of narrative people want to project.
Katie Nocholl, in particular, doesn’t know anything about M&H (actually she has even published positive stories about them),but when it comes to the Cambridges she’s just a so-called mouthpiece,so not a reliable source.
In this case it’s not clear how this is a planted “gushing piece” and at the same time, according to some people, she’s accusing him of cheating with other kids’ mums, and this is obviously true because in this very specific case she has inside knowledge.. lol
And,actually,at least according to one commenter here who summed up her relationship with Kate,William AND Harry, she used to have inside info close to their circles or leak particular stories on their behalf when they were younger, but she doesn’t have any privileged access anymore.

    • Olive says:

“PG” is not new information – that nickname has been floating around for years. “PG,” “PG Tips,” and just “Tips” all of these have been previously reported.

  17. TheOriginalMia says:

It’s all PR. Look at normal Bill. Taking his son to school and hanging out at the gym with the rest of the stay at home moms. Except how has no on ever reported seeing Normal Bill & these ladies at the gym together? Why would something so innocent be embargoed? Or are they using a private gym? And how does this help him? Answer is: It doesn’t. Just raising more questions and scorn because 1) Using his kid for cover and 2) is he’s sleeping with one of the mums from his kid’s school?

    • Digital Unicorn says:

Is he worried about a David Beckham type scandal? U know the one Becks got a super injunction on the press reporting that he had an affair with one of Harper’s teChersand got her pregnant.

This story is hanging around like a bad smell, the UK press won’t report on it but it won’t stop the rest of the world and the internet gossiping.

  18. Anare says:

In a nod to my most juvenile tendencies I giggled at the headline that Wills works out with the mums. Oh, I just bet he does! LOL. Is this really the narrative Jason thinks will be helpful?

  19. Lucylee says:

Willy isn’t working out on the equipment. Probably enjoys the adoration of the women at the center. Sounds like he is ego tripping.
I remember reading this story a while ago and thought it was strange then too.

  20. Mego says:

    “A well deserved break.”

See what I mean about the gaslighting? These RR’s are always ready to do their pr bidding. Wonder how much longer before another “difficult Meghan” story will be published for good measure. The way they lie and fabricate stories about how hard working and great the Cambridges are convinces me they have no qualms lying about how difficult Meghan is.

    It infuriates and disgusts me.

    • 90sgirl says:

Someone said the current crop of Royal British reporters are just a mouth piece and first draft story approval for the Cambridge’s before they go to print. Lol I have believed that for years.

      • Lorelei says:

@Mego by the time I read this comment, it’s noon, and there’s probably already another “difficult Meghan” story up by now. It is obvious and gross.

@90sgirl, honestly, they should just put the royal reporters on the payroll at the palace because they are definitely just mouthpieces. It is ridiculous that they’re just ignoring the cheating story. And it’s beyond disgusting that William can bully the press with legal threats. I hope it backfires spectacularly on him this time.

  21. Casey20 says:

    The A-ho!e loves the ladies!

  22. Kittycat says:

I wish Celebitchy would do old school royal gossip. There are so many stories I missed out on!

Like Sophie Winkleman, Maud’s mother, was actually an actress before marrying into the royal family.

Also I didnt know The Sun published topless pictures of Sophie Wessex before her wedding!

    • Ainsley7 says:

Sophie Winkleman is still an actress. She didn’t quit her job when she married in.

    • notasugarhere says:

Sophie is still an actress, and recovered from her broken back last year.

      • BayTampaBay says:

Is Sophie Winkleman, the American woman that married Lord Frederick Windsor?

      • notasugarhere says:

She’s English, but yes she’s married to him. She was in 2 1/2 Men, Chronicles of Narnia. Freddie’s sister, Lady Gabriella, is getting married at St George’s Chapel Windsor in a month. Another wedding for Celebitchy to cover.

      • Kittycat says:

        Interesting

      • 90sgirl says:

Yes, Sophie Winkleman still is an actress and she is good in what I’ve seen her in.
She was so funny as Big Suze.
She did a Town and Country magazine article and she is very articulate.
The British royal press seems to forget about her for some reason, not sure why?

There were rumours years ago in LA news ,that Kate and William were in Malibu looking for a home to rent, when actually it was Sophie Winkleman and Lord Fred Windsor who were looking around Malibu for a house for rent at one point .

      • BayTampaBay says:

90sgirl, That makes sense as I do not see Malibu as Bill & Cathy’s type of place. I have always seen Bill & Cathy Cambridge as true Turnip Toffs to their very core.

      • Heather says:

Forget chronicles of Narnia! She was Princess Eleanor in the deliciously soapy “The Palace.” I really liked her in it.

  23. Lisa says:

This is pure comedy at this point.

  24. margedbarge says:

So I know the implication is supposed to be that he’s hitting on the moms BUT I must say I adore the mental image of Will going to Zumba class in full athleisure glory.

  25. RoyalBlue says:

I cackled at this “Willy’s wandering scepter”. I am here for the shade.

And it’s all another attempt to make him seem down to earth and relatable. It’s like: See he uses public gyms where regular people go. Which begs the question, which regular dad can go to the gym after doing kiddie drop off or which can take the full 3 week Easter break. And the answer to those questions are either a stay at home dad or one who lives a life of complete privilege. Big Willie is tone deaf. We don’t care how regular you think you are, we just want you to work for that privileged life you are gifted.

  26. Kelley Bentley says:

I think this is more a crack at Kate. Why isn’t she the one hanging with the other moms? Most of my current group that I socialize with are the mothers of my kid’s friends. That’s just how it goes when your social life is controlled by kids activities.

    • BayTampaBay says:

I am not asking this to mean and cheek intended but…Does Cathy Cambridge have any real friends other than her mother & Pippa? Diana’s & Fergie’s friends were always in the news to some degree. I never hear anything about Cathy’s friends.

      • Kittycat says:

I asked this question before and I did find articles regarding Kate’s tight knit group of friends.

      • Becks1 says:

She does have friends (not just the Turnip Toffs.) The two names that get mentioned the most are Sophie Carter and Emilia Jardine-Patterson (both godmothers to Cambridge kids.) I don’t think she has many close friends, but honestly I don’t either, so I don’t fault her for that. I know she and EJP went to Marlborough together. I guess she has a wide, aristocratic social circle, but only a few “close friends.”

      • 90sgirl says:

Some say she only cozied up to Emilia at school because she knew from childhood she was friends with William.

Allegedly ,There was one childhood friend who Kate was still hanging with during the dating years who had no connection to the Aristo circle, Kate leaned on her heavily during the break up in 07, but after she got PW back, Kate treated her like crap again and didn’t even turn up for her wedding,a few years later. Kate was scheduled to go to the wedding, but William called that weekend and Kate went running. The friend adores Kate ,but only when Kate needs her, or allows her, will she see her , it’s not a two way street. I read that the friend is very loyal to Kate but gets treated like second hand rose( No pun intended ) lol

      • Sharon Lea says:

It is hard to know, it seems like Kate has ended up being friends with William’s friends wives, other than a couple of school friends. Charles had his hunting set of friends and it seems like William may have a similar set?

  27. guest says:

    Lol…the jokes just write themselves

  28. jules says:

working out with some of the mums is the new shagging then!

  29. Jumpingthesnark says:

Thus actually mKes me feel a teensy bit sorry for the well heeled mums- imagine having him leering at you when you were just trying to do your Pilates or whatever in peace. Ewwww!!!!!!

  30. jules says:

Also major props Kaiser for coming up with –” whispers about Will’s wandering scepter”!

  31. Sue Denim says:

Two quick thoughts — (1) he is not aging well… and (2) maybe Kate got her 3rd kid, is done and happy, and is like meh, ok…whatever. At least I hope so for her sake…

  32. Weaver says:

Yeah. Will is definitely cheating. The PR photos plus this article are just driving the point home.

Are Will & Kate taking a sympathetic maternity leave with Meghan? It’s like they just gave up the pretense of their keenness to work once Meghan was out of the picture.

  33. launicaangelina says:

    Will’s 👏🏽 wand 👏🏽 er 👏🏽 ing 👏🏽 scep 👏🏽 ter
    💀

  34. ChiaMom says:

Finally we know his “getaway line” all cheaters have them now we know that Engkand is full of gross ladies who like princess Diana’s son so much they want him to treat Kate the same way as Ariana was #RoseYoureDisgusting #EvilChicas

    • notasugarhere says:

Because to you, William holds no culpability if he has cheated? He cheated on Kate for 10 years, cheated on his girlfriend for months with Kate. But William is innocent and Kate had no idea what she was getting into? Please.

    • BayTampaBay says:

@ChiaMom, Who the hell is Ariana? The only Ariana I know is Ariana Huffington. Why are you bringing Ariana Huffington into this? Is Ariana supposed to have had an affair with Charles? LOL! LOL!

  35. Lucylee says:

Can’t get the thought of Willy doing Zumba with all of the mums at the health club. Must be a sight to behold.🤗🤗🤗🤗

  36. Citresse says:

If Normal Bill starts doing yoga with Justin Trudeau I’ll laugh and then start to feel nauseated.

  37. (THE OG)@Jan90067 says:

I think Wandering Willy wants to do more than “Dad Dancing” moves.

Have to say, it gives me a chuckle picturing WW, as the only man in the workout room, just standing around, with all the moms vying for his attention.

    • BayTampaBay says:

I do not think there would be any moms vying for his attention!

      • (TheOG)@Jan90067 says:

Not for his looks, but for the “power of position “ (ie: bagging the heir to the throne kind of thing).

      • BayTampaBay says:

Sorta like sleeping with Mick Jagger? (ie: bagging the lead singer of the Rolling Stones kind of thing).

  38. ShazBot says:

This article just reeks of privilege. They drop their kids off at school, then they go to the gym and mingle with all the other wealthy parents…what a lovely little life that the majority of people cannot afford. I have always hated Will’s obsession with “normal”. He has no flipping clue what normal is.

    • Tourmaline says:

Amen. Seriously they have it made and really do lead lives of ample leisure, but still deign to lecture other parents as part of their mental health initiatives.

    • Tigerlily says:

Shazbot to be fair I believe it was Diana who started this ‘normal’ nonsense when Will& Harry we’re children. She herself was a far cry from ‘normal’ . She was an extremely privileged, titled person. Going to MacDonalds, Disneyland (after skipping the lineups, with Royal protection officers along) is not ‘normal’. To me it was like Marie Antoinette with her fake ‘rustic’ village (petit Trianon)where she played at being normal.

      • Jen says:

This is so true. And look what it has done to her sons- they think they deserve a normal life as long as it involves immense privilege. They don’t want to be “normal.” They want to live the lives of the idle rich.

  39. RoyalBlue says:

Thanks. Now I have this image in my mind of big Willy creeping on the other moms in the gym with that sheepish grin on his face.

  40. KidV says:

Why are we not assuming Kate is having affairs, also? If this is the aristo circle she’s hanging with and it’s common for them to switch partners, I’m assuming one of the husbands would love to shag the future queen.

And how does all of this happen? Do their charity balls turn into a key parties? That would be fun to see.

    • A says:

We’re not assuming that Kate is also having affairs because there have been no rumours to that effect so far. She very well could be, but if she is, she’s clearly keeping her business airtight, which is something William could probably learn how to do at this point.

  41. Casey20 says:

What is it week 3 or 4 that George and Charlotte has been on break. It’s the reason the Cambridge ‘s can’t work. Kate will get another 6 months because of Meghan Maternity leave but why can’t William work, LOL! The fact that the Cambridge’s are sanctioning family photos and we are getting PW involvement with the children articles should speak volumes….. Turn-it-up Gate!

  42. Andrea says:

How is this helpful? Doesn’t him hanging out with the other mums mean easy access to cheat? I wonder when this will all blowup?

  43. perplexed says:

I don’t think he needs to have game. I think you only need to have game if you’re poor and have no status.

I’m trying to picture him cheating with moms….and idk…for some reason it’s not working. Maybe I’m used to the Tiger Woods image of cheating where you go off to a club and the women are kind of willing and easy based on some understanding of why they’re all there. Some of these moms may actually be devoted to their husbands and children so maybe thats why the picture of cheating isn’t working for me. Going to a club where single women want to sleep with you seems much easier. Trying to get a mom to throw everything away to sleep with you seems like too much hard work (unless he likes the challenge, I guess).

    • mtam says:

You underestimate how bored and desperate for attention these moms can be.

    • 90sgirl says:

There is no one set place. If a person is looking to cheat he or she can meet a person anywhere.
Tiger met women everywhere he was cheating with. He met women not just at clubs, he met waitresses and one girl worked on Wallstreet. His destination point for the trysts was different from where he met them.

If someone is a cheater it doesn’t matter where they meet the person they find attractive who they might want to cheat with, they can meet the person at Starbucks, or a PTA meeting, the gym or even while parking their car.
      A cheater is a cheater.

My neighbor is a trainer at a gym, he said the married women, mothers, give him their numbers all the time, but he doesn’t get involved with them.
My best friend is a school teacher, she said shockingly, some of the fathers have asked her out when their wives are not at a school meeting.

All it takes is one woman who might want to say YES, to allegedly wandering Will.

    • Becks1 says:

Also, I think for many of these women, its not “throwing everything away.” In some circles, sleeping around is more the norm than in others.

  44. Eunice says:

‘Working out’ is an ambiguous phrase to me. Was he pounding his manly thighs on the treadmill while being watched admiringly by a dozen moms, or was he doing star jumps in orange lycra while screaming along to “I will survive”? I need to know the details before I judge him.

  45. A says:

I really hate the term “yummy mummy.” And I don’t doubt at all that William is THAT dad in the group of mums. We all know that one. The one who tries a little too hard to show off what a great dad he is because he drops his kids off at school and can make cupcakes. I think he gets a lot of adulation from this crowd, which is why he hangs out with them. They’re struck by the surface level normalcy, and I don’t blame them, because I think I’d definitely be intrigued if a prince in line to the throne is out here doing the school run and dressing in jumpers and talking about hitting the gym after.

That being said, I don’t think he’s picking up anyone from this crowd. William has a type. So I just can’t see that happening, but who knows, I could be wrong.

  46. paddingtonjr says:

Well, Prince William is just a modern, sensitive man isn’t he? He’s down for some pilates, yoga, brunch and gossip with the mommies! If they had said “Kate” instead of “William”, I would have rolled my eyes and thought “of course she does. It’s not like she has a job to go to.” But this story about William is just bizarre. Poor Jason really needs to up his game.

  47. Lola Lola3 says:

Wandering scepter…hahahaha. Oh Kaiser you are so freakin awesome. Thank you for that–although the image may start to creep me out if I keep thinking about it.

  48. noway says:

I don’t care if William is having an affair. Honestly, it seems like most rich, powerful, spoiled people, especially men, do. Wait till Harry is in this crosshair, you guys might just blow a gasket. I would say the evidence from royal gossip standards is pretty slight though. I get it people on here don’t like him, and love Harry. Still if you were William and dealing with this gossip, whether you had an affair or not, wouldn’t you approach it similarly from a PR standpoint and emphasize the happy family. It doesn’t mean you plan deliberate family outings, but if you are having one, you publicize it. It just seems logical to me, and not sure what this proves one way or the other. I just like the pictures. The kids are cute, and they all were cute, including William and Harry. If it makes us get more pictures, go ahead play royal PR.

  49. MD says:

Seems like ‘Preemptive Stirke’ to me. Maybe Wills was seen doing cardio in the Rose garden.

  50. YankLynn says:

My first thought on the weird “William works out with the mums sometimes” is that there’s a picture out there of William grinning with some cute mom in her yoga pants and his PR wants to establish a “oh thats just Willim with one of his gym-Mom buddies”
