There’s trouble in paradise for Josh Duhamel and Fergie. It seems they’re having some serious issues, at least according to the National Enquirer. At issue: Fergie’s crazy work schedule, her partying, her immaturity, and her lack of desire for all things baby. Surprisingly, it seems like Josh doesn’t have any “issues” that Fergie is worried about. Seems weird, doesn’t it? Like if there are problems in a marriage, it’s all the girl’s fault. However, in this case, they have might a point. Can you imagine being married to Fergie? She just seems like… a marriage wouldn’t necessarily be a good fit. In Fergie’s defense though, it wasn’t like she forced Josh to marry a crazy rock star.
Six months after their wedding, pals say the Hollywood hipsters are fighting to save their marriage because he wants children, and she won’t give up her rock star lifestyle!
“[They’re] clashing night and day and they’re desperately trying to get a handle on their problems, a close friend told the Enquirer.
“Publicly, they’ve painted a picture of sheer bliss, but behind the scenes, cracks in their young marriage are beginning to show.”
“[Josh] is a traditional guy, and he wants a family,” the friend said.
“[Fergie] doesn’t seem capable of slowing down long enough to really consider children,” the friend added. “She’s the toast of the music world… and has an incredibly hectic schedule touring, recording and performing.”
“There aren’t enough hours in the day for everything she wants to do. Plus, she’s a major partier.”
A recent incident at Cinespace brought the couple’s issues into the forefront, a source told the Enquirer.
“Fergie looked so drunk that night that she was basically throwing up as her security team escorted her out through the kitchen,” the source said.
“She’d been pounding back vodka and tequila. Josh was nowhere to be seen that night. You’d never think she was a newly married woman!”
“Fergie is completely caught up in being a rock star… Josh is still madly in love with her, and she loves him. But Josh wants Fergie to grow up.”

Yeah, if Josh was all about babies, why in the world did he settle down with a rock star? If family was his priority, you’d think he go for some girl next door with binkies and bibs in her eyes. I don’t buy that Josh didn’t realize the kind of girl he was marrying. That being said, it wouldn’t hurt Fergie to “grow up” a bit. Doing shots of tequila and straight vodka and throwing up in the club isn’t something that should be done past the age of … let’s say, 23 years old.

They’ve been living together for several years. So why would Fergie’s schedule be an issue now? I know she goes to clubs but I don’t think she’s portrayed by the media as a drinker/partier.

Riiiight *he* wants to have a kid. Even if he does want a child, its probably completely rooted in selfishness. Its always so easy for the men to demand a child. They don’t carry it. They don’t have the grinding halt and threat to their career. They don’t have to worry about losing their identity or becoming a stereotype. And they have the comfort and security of knowing that however much they want their child, they can use gender roles to make the woman do all the dirty work. They don’t want a responsibility, they just want someone to have their genes. Its egotistical. Its selfish.

Annie I don’t think Josh would have a hard time convincing most girls of procreating with him, ring or not. If he married her to convince her to procreate than he obviously is unaware of what a single, hot, succesful man can get away with these days.

Well the enquirer said they were not getting married last fall too, because Fergie was taping a movie! This is such bullshit. If you read or listen to both of them they knew this year would be about her being on the road for the new CD, Josh knew that and said that himself.

Somehow I tend to believe that these two actually discussed the kid issue before getting married. They both seem like they’ve got a brain and I’m not buying the fact that he’s gone baby crazy only six months in.
