While we don’t know for sure whether Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are officially engaged (probably not), one thing’s for sure – they are very much in love. They’re so in love they want to spend as much time together as possible, or so the Daily Mail would have us believe. The Mail is confirming a rumor that’s been around for months – that Orlando Bloom won’t be returning for any future Pirates of the Caribbean sequels. Orlando himself said that he had no interest in returning to the franchise as he was promoting the last one, but I tended to think that might just be a way to get a bigger paycheck. There were two options – either the producers didn’t really want Orlando and they were looking for any future sequels to revolve around Johnny Depp’s character. Or Orlando was done with the Pirates thing two years ago, and now people are putting out this story about his love for Miranda Kerr as some kind of face-saving gesture. Like, “Oh, no really, I wouldn’t want to make another Pirates movie… I’m so in love with my girlfriend, I can’t be parted from her!”
Orlando Bloom will not be appearing in the next Pirates of The Caribbean film. The actor, 32, is said to have turned down the chance to reprise his role as blacksmith Will Turner in the fourth movie because he wants to spend more time with his girlfriend Miranda Kerr, 26.
And judging by her display in a recent fashion shoot for Victoria’s Secrets, it’s no wonder Bloom is walking the plank for the Australian model.
A source told the New of the World: ‘Orlando loved the films but thinks it’s time to bow out because they tied up nicely for his character Will Turner.’
‘The producers are OK with that because they want to concentrate on the new adventures of Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow.’
It was recently reported that Bloom and Kerr had been looking at buying a $13 million Malibu home together. Last month the pair were seen viewing at houses together in Los Angeles in an exclusive celebrity enclave.
‘The couple looked so in love and so relaxed,’ a source told X17 Online.
‘They seem so happy together – a perfect match. You could see Miranda getting all dreamy-eyed when they looked at this house. It was beautiful – right on the beach.’
There are also rumours that the pair plan to wed, with Bloom having given his other half an ultimatum. She has already twice turned down his marriage proposals, but he plans to ask her again this summer.
A source told the Mail on Sunday earlier this month: ‘He has told her he wants to marry her and will propose again this summer. If she says no, he’s said it will be over.’
Earlier this month the Lord of the Rings actor had to jet back to LA after his home was broken into by thieves.
At the time it was reported that £300,000-worth of belongings were taken, including vintage watches, jewelry and cash.

I’m not any kind of Orly fan, but I do think it’s sweet that he keeps asking Miranda to marry him and she keeps saying no. And he sticks around! That makes me like him a lot, that he doesn’t get all defensive and all “we have to get married now or I’m walking”. As for the Pirates franchise – well, I don’t think it was Orly who was saying no, I think it was the producers saying no to him. Bloom’s career isn’t as hot as it once was, and Pirates would have been a great paycheck, at the very least. And he could have afforded a bigger engagement ring, at the very least. Which Miranda still would have said “thanks but no thanks” to.

I don’t see why you’d stay with someone who didn’t want to marry you if you were ready to get married – unless she phrased it as, “I’m not ready yet.”
I’d love to see him in some great independent films.

Call me a skeptic, but I think him walking away from the role has more to do with receiving third billing in the movie! He was major star when it started, however in the press for the movie everyone concentrates on Johnny Depp! He comes after Depp and Keira Knightly.
Still, I also think the producers weren’t keen to keep him in the films either. Even though the ending for Will and Elizabeth seemed final, they could of easily picked up ten years later with their son and found a way to get Will out of his curse.

I always liked him for some reason. He’s not a great actor but he’s not terrible either. He plays a great dope. I’d like to see him do another comedy of some kind. Hope it works out for him.

I remember being about 15 and seeing him out wearing shoes without socks. For some reason, I found that really annoying at the time and I just haven’t got over it. I’m just destined not to be a Bloomette.

I like him well enough, but really the Pirate franchise needs to move away from him and Knightley (hopefully she won’t be back either). Their story, while great, was told from beginning to end. No reason to beat a dead horse. The franchise does not need either of them, but would not be able to go on without Johnny Depp. There’s no reason in the world that they can’t take up another storyline following Jack Sparrow’s adventures and introducing new characters/plotlines for the next movie(s).

Miranda Kerr is my bf’s freebie. LOL
She’s absolutely adorable and frankly, while he hates Bloom (fiercely!) I find the whole pairing super cute and super fitting.
But yes, more of a Jack Sparrow fan myself.
But I loves me some Bloom.

ok,maybe he is not the greatest actor of his generation, but I don’t know, there is something so genuine and real about him and he is a real delight for the eyes
his gf seems nice too, I’m glad he is not into famewhores like Clooney or Mel Gibson..
Anyway, come back soon, Orly!

Looks like Miranda’s releasing her own PR stories again.

Avast Ya Scarvy Scum Orlando! But who cares, your character sailed away into oblivion. The fans only care about Johnny aka JACK SPARROW’s return to the big screen. Aye, aye, captain!

I tend not to believe that Orlando asked his girlfriend to marry him repeatedly. Frankly, he’s been a classic commitment-phobe, cheater and womanizer for a long time now. Sure, people can change. Maybe he has. I liked him a lot in Lord of the Rings, but his early promise hasn’t led to a great career. Maybe if he really is ready to settle down, he can dedicate himself to his craft more.

The Pirates movies are now so lame. As much as I love Johnny Depp, he seems to be somewhat of a paycheck whore to keep on with this franchise. I think Orlando Bloom has it right – get out before it sinks.

I love both Orlando and Johnny. Though, Orlando will be missed by me in the future Pirates movies. I hope he comes out with something new soon.
