It looks like George Clooney dumped whatever random waitress/bartender/extra girl(s) he was dating. He’s been in Italy for more than a month, and he’s been enjoying the local delicacies, in more ways than one. His latest “girlfriend” (or “piece”) is a 30-year-old Sardinian (living in Italy) named Elisabetta Canalis. They were seen out together a few times over the past week, but apparently they were spotted in Rome last week “with their arms romantically wrapped around each other.” Enjoy it while it lasts, Elisabetta. Let’s give Clooney some credit though – she’s not in her twenties (just barely, but Clooney is taking baby steps) and she’s very, very pretty. And she doesn’t have that “hard” look of a working girl (cough cough Sarah Larson cough):
George Clooney has been spending time with Italian beauty Elisabetta Canalis, RadarOnline.com has learned. Elisabetta, 30, is also an actress – Deuce Bigalow 2: European Gigolo, and TV host – the Italian version of Total Request Live.
We don’t know where the pair met but Clooney, 48, lives most of the year in Italy where he resides in a fabulous villa on Lake Como. He and Elisabetta double dated with another couple at the Hotel Majestic Rome on July 22. They were spotted again in Rome, on July 26 with their arms romantically wrapped around each other.
Fortunately for this budding romance, George has no reason to spend time away from Italy any time soon. His next film, A Very Private Gentleman, will shoot in Italy starting next month.
George’s rep told RadarOnline.com he has “no idea” who George may be dating.

If your credits include Deuce Bigalow 2, wouldn’t you just want to be described as a “television personality”? And Clooney might be sticking around for a few months, so maybe this relationship will blossom into something real. Yeah… who wants to actually put money on that? I’ll wager $20 that George is done with her within a month. Will anyone take that bet?
Don’t you love the statement from George’s rep too? He has “no idea” who George is dating. It’s like saying, “I can’t keep up with this womanizer, he’s got girls in every country.” Which he does. And I can’t keep up with them either.

Sardinia is just an italian island, it’s totally part of the nation, like every other region. But I don’t care much about this post, because I’m italian and I know the romantical involvements of this girl. She became famous as a “velina”, a kind of half-naked girl that “danced” provocatively in a very famous program here in Italy and then she was linked to Vieri, an italian footballer. They were on-off-on-off for some years, but she’s definetely like every other dumb girl in Hollywood, like Heidi or Lilo.
They’ll be off in a week.

Really, it’s endearing to me. He is smart and respectful and seems like a genuine person. He also knows what he likes and is rich enough to get it. Go George!

Have you ever studied geography even at an elementary level? Do you know how to use an atlas? You said “considered Italian” why, do you think Sardegna belongs to Mexico? Sardegna is a region of Italy you genius…so Elisabetta is NOT considered italian, SHE IS ITALIAN!!!!

And even better….guess who her boyfriend was earlier this year….Michele Malenotti (one of the Belstaff Brothers) and a good friend of George’s who also just happened to be with them the same night George and his new ladylove were photographed at the restaurant……but wait there’s more…Michele and his brother Manuele are staying at Georges Villa right this very minute with Elizabetta making up the numbers.
I smell a PR rat, same old George MO, 2 new movies to promote, so trot out a nice piece of arm candy, get the gossip sites and tabloids talking and send her on her way by the end of the year in time for his annual ‘boys only’ holiday in Mexico. Unless of course he manages to get nominated for an academy award, then she will stay around till awards season is over.

In Italy, model often means hooker. as pointed out by the others. Velina is now the most wished-for-job young girls would like to perform in their future life in italy. velina literally means flimsy(paper).
they have a whole culture build around that velina-tv starlet-thing and it always involves being almost naked on screen. its pretty sad. its like soft porn on normal evening tv programm.
Oh, cut her a break – not everybody knows all about Sardinia and Corsica. I’ve been confused about which country owns what before. Also had Sicilian inlaws that always harped on about being Sicilian, not too much “Italian” to confuse matters. I know that’s splitting hairs, but still – doesn’t make kaiser a complete idiot for not knowing that.
Let the guy have fun. What difference does it make wo he sleeps with anyway. He lives for himself, as he should.
