Donald Trump thinks coughing & sneezing are signs of ‘weakness & lack of control’

U.S. WASHINGTON D.C. TRUMP DEPARTURE BORDER WALL

Last week, ABC News began publishing clips from an exclusive interview George Stephanopoulos did with Donald Trump. The interview aired last night, and I didn’t watch it because life’s too short. Plus, the biggest headline came out last week: that Trump would love to take any and all foreign governments’ information on his political opponents, even though that’s in violation of like 50 laws. After the interview aired, there was another headline though: Trump hates people who cough.

That was Mick Mulvaney coughing in the background of Trump’s interview, and Trump literally stops the interview, orders Mulvaney out of the Oval Office and wants to start again. Trump says “Let’s do that over, he’s coughing in the middle of my answer… I don’t like that, you know? You just can’t, you just can’t cough.”

After the interview aired (and ABC left that in), reporter Jackie Alemany tweeted this:

It’s not like people can help when they sneeze, and most of the time, people can’t help when they cough either. Trump is a total germaphobe and only a flaccid weakling would be so obsessed with the “weaknesses” in other people. Weaknesses like… sneezing or get something caught in your throat.

    He is such an a-hole

  2. redheadwriter says:

And his sniffing is a sign of intelligence?

  3. Tate says:

    He is an absolute psychopath

    • Aang says:

      Yes. A complete lunatic.

    • Paige says:

Malignant narcissist. My stepdaughter is one.The symptoms are very specific. Never apologize, sues everyone, attempts to destroy people at perceived slights etc… Look it up-trump could be the poster boy… Sadly most families have one. They do try and usually succeed in destroying a family. Too bad for us we have one running our country.

  4. Mumbles says:

He should team up with Tom Cruise. Doesn’t Tommy think colds and menstrual cramps are signs of weakness and that Scientology prevents them?

I did watch the special. I gotta say I laughed out loud when that happened. Everyone was clearly terrified when Trump started barking about it.

I wonder if Trump thinks all the weird crap on his face (syphilitic lesions?) is a sign of weakness. They were very noticable yesterday.

  5. Kate says:

He thinks it’s weakness or he feels disrespected when accidentally interrupted by noise from another person? I assume the latter.

  6. tempest prognosticator says:

Please, may Trump suffer from raging hemorrhoids every day of his ridiculous life with no relief in sight. May the symptoms get even worse once they throw him in prison.

    • NeoCleo says:

I also curse his butt, but I wish for him to have stabbing pains in his ass pretty much whenever he opens mouth to speak. Maybe we should join forces!!

      • Ponchorella says:

I want in on this butt voodoo too! I’m tossing in eternal constipation. That will keep him straining in the shitter (aggravating his hemorrhoids in the process) and unable to sign any executive orders.

  7. Snowslow says:

I think he should just propose to change the definition of science in all dictionaries and get it over with.

  8. Scal says:

Well that explains why he famously never spent time with his kids as babies. Toddlers cough and sneeze all the time.

Now I just want someone to kick up some dust around him-literal dust-so he has a sneezing fit.

  9. Megan says:

    Why is George standing?

    • agnes says:

Nobody is allowed to sit down, before the King says so.

    • AryasMum says:

The hilarious part is diminutive George looks like a giant towering over Trump. Trump is in the weak position. Chris Matthews was amazed that Trump put himself in that position. He even had to twist his neck to talk to George.

    • Molly says:

Because Trump is obsessed with sitting behind the desk in the oval. He thinks it’s the power position.

  10. Dragonlady sakura says:

I have cried on how stupid this man is. It’s an freaking involuntary action the body can’t control. Take a good look Republicans, this is whom you champion. 😡

  11. Lightpurple says:

I volunteer as tribute to follow him around, coughing incessantly.

  12. agnes says:

Why is he always looking like an albino raccoon with severe orangy sunburn?

Those white rings around his eyes. Doesn’t anybody of his minions notice them? Or do they just not care?

    • Elkie says:

The raccoon eyes, the hair, the orange skin, the toilet paper trailing on his shoe, the suits that make him look like 300lbs in an adult diaper…

It’s pretty obvious he’s so loathsome to be around that he doesn’t have even one person in his life who cares enough to tell him he looks ridiculous.

      • Original T.C. says:

The last person in his life to comment on a ridiculous aspect of his hair (forehead lift to help hairline) was his first wife. She got straggled and raped for her effort. His insecurity is too great to tell him the truth. They leak it instead to get him to change.

      • AryasMum says:

Is this what she originally said in the divorce documents? He did that over criticism of his hair?

    • AryasMum says:

I believe he has a skin condition where tanning is actually a treatment. In one of the debates they obviously tried to go without it and his face appeared red and scalier than normal.

      • whatWHAT? says:

but it’s not “tanning”. it’s the orange spray “tan”. clearly, because he can go from orange to white in two events on the same day.

they use it because it covers up how bad his skin really is. it’s practically gray when he doesn’t paint himself orange.

and @Elkie, I don’t think it’s that people don’t care, I think it’s because, as he’s demonstrated so often, he’s thin-skinned and if someone in his “circle” told him he looks ridiculous, they’d be fired. people live in fear of this man and his toddler-level temper tantrums.

      • AryasMum says:

Yikes! Spray tan does nothing for skin issues.

    • Chica71 says:

Thank you for nailing that! Sunburned albino raccoon!

  13. Andrea says:

My father always grumbled when myself or my mother coughed. He couldn’t and still cannot stand the sound of a cough. He would always say, take a cough drop as if that solves everything. Both my parents are funny about taking cough medicine too ever since they started taking high blood pressure medication, so they just cough away. I always thought it was rude for my father to say this to me and my response was always, I can’t help it! He always acted like I could control it.

  14. NeoCleo says:

That scrofulous waste of a human has the nerve to criticize people for coughing and sneezing–oh the irony.

  15. Who ARE These People? says:

I assumed, and am not the only one to have assumed, that Mulvaney coughed because Trump was getting into dangerous territory about releasing his “fantastic” financial statement, and his chief of staff was trying to redirect him. And Trump is such a self-centered idiot, he couldn’t read the cue. Like a wife kicking her husband under the table when he says something stupid, the husband being stupid says, “Why are you kicking me?”

Maybe Trump’s a germaphobe, or maybe he just uses that as a cover story. Either way, he’s grotesque — and he’s hiding something even worse than the financial mismanagement about which we already know.

    • Megan says:

Yeah, I think Mulvaney was trying to get that clipped edited out by coughing.

      • DM2 says:

Oh yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a signal to tell Dump to STFU. And of course, he was too dense to know what it was since he lacks any understanding of undertones. And he was so disgustingly rude and sneerful when he said it; it makes you understand that he would indeed have the character to slap/punch Don Jr. in the face for not wearing a suit. Typical bully behaviour.

    • whatWHAT? says:

“Maybe Trump’s a germaphobe, or maybe he just uses that as a cover story.”

I don’t think he’s a germaphobe. he has sex with hookers and adult film actresses. supposedly, he doesn’t use protection. in his own words, he carries mints around because he would just “walk up to beautiful women and just start kissing them”.

so I’m going to go with “cover story”.

    • Swack says:

If it wasn’t on purpose, Mulvaney better be careful – he’ll be next on the chopping block.

    • Tiffany :) says:

I didn’t think of that before, but it makes total sense. I love the description of the wife and the husband asking why she was kicking. That is totally how it played out.

I could see Mulvaney trying to save his boss from himself.

  16. Canber says:

No wonder the WH people leak like crazy. Trump treats them badly.

  17. Larkspurlm says:

    He’s a constipated old fool.

  18. teehee says:

Because he doesnt acknowledge the typical signs of weakness and lack of control:

    Lying,
    Cheating,
    Stealing,
    Compulsivity,

    and so on

so he gotta find em somewhere!!

But really its just more of his ego-manical view of the world, how dare anyone breathe while hes in that room, right.

  19. Diamond Rottweiler says:

It is possibly quite ironic that some read the cough as an attempt to steer him off the subject of his “fantastic” finances and pretend plan to release them.

  20. Jackie says:

He’s such a weirdo. Remember when Hillary had to go to the bathroom during a break at a debate and he went on and on about how gross that was? WTF.

  21. Liz version 700 says:

He is so childish. Like a 5 year old who is afraid of getting cookies. He is obsessed with things that little kids are horrified by “bleeding out of her whatever,” coughing, sneezing “oh gross,”. Terrifying that even in this way he is an immature brat.

  22. Digital Unicorn says:

I guess that means he is also weak considering he’s supposed to be incontinent and wear adult diapers. Apparently that’s why his suits fit the way they do, to hide it.

    • DM2 says:

Whaaa? Where’d ya hear that? !!

      • AryasMum says:

He refuses to let the staff strip his sheets. Since he’s a slovenly piece of shit, the assumption is he’s incontinent.

He’s also been seen in profile pics while seated, to have enormous junk in his trunk that implies a XXXXL diaper.

      • Andrea says:

He probably doesn’t want to appear weak to have to pee. *eyeroll* I wonder about his medical conditions—he clearly is not in top form for his age healthwise.

      • DM2 says:

So who changes his sheets? Must be Ivanka… Honest to Gawd, if this is true, it’s the most hilarious thing ever to know that this p.o.s. has this issue that a lot of other adults have, when all he does it make fun of how old others are, and he’s just so young and virile. Bwhaha.

  23. Angela82 says:

Oh FFS. This man is so ignorant i want to rip out all my hair on a daily basis.

  24. Avery says:

He looks like his breath stinks.

  25. SPARKER says:

Well, that’s good news! His impending aneurysm should be interesting… never hold a sneeze

  26. Mary says:

I suppose being 100 pounds overweight shows self control.

  27. Jerusha says:

When he dies I am going to be the happiest person in the world, happier than all the rest of you put together. Won’t even be close. Got my dancing shoes ready.
