Yes. I worked for a professional Opera company for 7 years. Backstage in opera is a disgustingly disrespectful place for women. If every misogynist was cancelled, there would literally be no singers left to perform – the industry would die.

Yeah, The Chrisley’s screwed the pooch the minute they signed up for that reality show. I watched the 1st season and you just knew Todd and Julie were shady as all get out. You never knew what it was that they actually did.
Yeah. Any time someone flashes a lot of money, a bougie lifestyle, and claims it’s all from “real estate” or “venture capital”…major red flags. (No shade at people who actually do either…just to the reality TV celebs who claim to do them.) Especially when they are never known to have been witnessed doing any of the aforementioned work.
I know that Luciano Pavaroti died years ago. Perhaps confused with him?
I knew about Pavaroti, but I thought Domingo passed as well not soon after. Eh. My bad.
This has been brewing for years. As a matter of fact, I recall reading about this just prior to the show debut. I googled them because, with all the advertisement of the show, I wanted to know who the fk this Todd Chrisley dude was. Discounted them ever since.

To anyone connected to the opera world, Placido Domingo’s predatory behavior is common knowledge. It’s been going on for many years.

Devil’s advocate here: some people think is suspicious that the accusations against Placido Domingo came just days before his war against the church of scientology to recovery his son and grandsons went public. Just after that resurfaced that he had an inappropriate behavior more than 30 years ago. He paid 2 million to recovery his grandsons but he couldn’t recovery his son. Sorry but I find this fishy.
I mean, that brings the timing in to question, sure, but it doesn’t mean it’s not true.
Exactly. Maybe COS released the hounds here, but I’ve seen lots of people, including some here, saying they aren’t surprised at all his behavior was known and not uncommon.
I avery sad, as a not so young Mexican I remember well how much he worked with his own hands looking for people in fallen buildings, and how much he supported our country after a devastating earthquake in 1985 which affected the capital and killed 4 close family members, as his family has close ties with Mexico. I looked a bit and he donated not only free concerts, but also a whole year worth of earnings to help people affected by a hurricane in Acapulco.
Humans are really complex people, it’s sad to me remember and acknowledge that not everything is black and white.
