Text messages seem to lead to a lot of breakups for celebrities lately. There was that rumor that Tony Romo dumped Jessica Simpson after he found fairly innocuous text messages from John Mayer. Now Fox News’ Pop Tarts is claiming that Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush broke up after he found text messages from Kanye West – and they were supposedly anything but innocent. There have been a lot of rumors of cheating since the two parted ways a few days ago, which Kim has denied.
Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush’s split wasn’t as amicable as they’re making it out to be. An insider told FOXNews.com’s Pop Tarts that their relationship had been “been rocky for a little while ” because the two weren’t seeing as much of each other as they once had, with Kim’s increasing fame and their separate business commitments keeping them apart most of the time.
Now another source tells FOX411 that there was another, bigger reason behind the split: Kanye West. “Reggie saw text messages on Kim’s phone from Kanye West and flipped out on her,” the source tells FOX411. And these weren’t your average friendly messages.
“The texts referenced a night they hung out, how much fun he had, how hot Kim was, and more racy things that got Reggie’s imagination running,” says the source.
When Reggie confronted Kim about it, the couple had a huge blow-up, and jealousy issues, which had been pretty much kept out of their relationship until this incident surfaced, according to the insider.
“They realized there were trust issues on both sides, and couldn’t go forward,” says the source.

I definitely thought Kim and Reggie were going to get married. I mean they dated for over two years – that’s longer than a lot of Hollywood marriages. She obviously craved fame and attention more than he did, but he also didn’t seem to mind too much. It looked like they had a good thing worked out. It sorta strikes me as strange that some messages from Kanye West could break them up so easily, no matter what he said. It sounds like it wasn’t actually about trust issues (though that’s obviously the straw that broke the camel’s back) so much as they were leading different lives and the relationship had run its course. Normally by two years you know if it’s got the legs to go the distance, and this obviously didn’t.
In sorta related news, there was a story floating around that Kanye West had declared himself the new King of Pop and even asked the Jackson family for their blessing – while they’re still in mourning. Turns out it was written as a piece of satire quite a few weeks ago, but that got lost in translation when the story was repeated. Kanye’s got the ego and the balls to do it, so it’s not exactly surprising people bought it.

You could see they where not going to last in most of the pictures that they have together in the red carpets he looked annoyed, Kim loves the public attention and I think Reggie just deals with it because of his job.

I heard that HE was the one cheating & gave Kim STD’s from one of his hoebags. I guess one of his nasty girls was going to go to the press soon. So kim broke up w/ him before it went down.

Like Romo, Like Bush…they didnt want to have girlfriends hangin on them during the upcoming football season and those text messages gave them a way out!!! LOL What losers!

I think trust issues probably had something to do with it, but more than likely she was pissed he hadn’t popped the question. I could see the texts starting the fight, but I could also see her giving him the ole ultimatum as well…

she is looking to save face. Reggie feared that her whorish ways would always hinder him from really trusting her. text messages are not the only thing. bet there is more to their break up. they just took a trip to africa. bet it was a last ditch effort to try to work things out. you know the saying “cannot make a whore into a housewife”

I doubt that Kim is all that innocent.
I went through my boyfriends text messages, that is how I found out he was cheating and that is why he is now my ex.
Sometimes when there is something amiss, checking text messages is a way to find out what is really going on.

I don’t think so. Is anybody looking at Reggie’s face in the pic?? Does he look like he is happy? He never looks happy in any pics with her. Look at his pics with other people.
And anyway he is only 24, why would he want to settle for 28 year old, who can’t get a man who would stay with her??
