Honestly, if I had 500K…nobody would ever see me dressed for work again. Why don’t more vastly wealthy people take extended vacations, travel, improve others lives with charity support..not at all a new idea.

Selena is my fave movie of all time. I can’t believe they are making a Selena series. That’s amazing ! I do hope her family was involved in this so it can stay authentic to the real Selena (who was amazing !!!).
I’m so excited about the series too! ¡La Reina Tejana! Based on what’s been reported on her family, they’re involved. They’ve got the rights to anything Selena on lockdown. I’m pretty sure they sued her widow last year but can’t remember why.
Oh good I’m glad her family owns all rights to anything “Selena” related ! They care so much about her legacy and that’s how it should be. I don’t want to see someone coming in to monetize and destroy what her family has tried to preserve. I’ve been fascinated with Selena and her short life since I was a teen. Still so heartbreaking ! With regards to the law suit this is what I googled…

Is it her make-up line and clothing line that keeps her busy? In the past year she hasn’t put out an album or done a movie. Is she working on a new album? Those things combined could have made her over-worked. Who knows. She may be having family/relationship issues which can add a lot of stress to life too.
Maybe the hidden fees of her overpriced lingerie “subscription” got to her?
I hope hope hope she works it all out in the studio.
She heads up a make-up company, a lingerie collaboration, a fashion collaboration with Puma, and now a fashion house. She has also been acting in movies and working on new music. Any one of those things is a full-time job. By all accounts she is a damn hard worker who often doesn’t know how to take a break. When you are the boss you are accountable for many other people and there is increased stress and pressure. Is she rich and privileged? Yes, of course. Does she have staff to help her with all tasks? Yes of course. None of that means she isn’t working hard, overwhelmed and overworked. I find it fascinating that people seem to think that with all of these projects on her plate, she’s somehow lounging around out there. None of that even touched on the constant scrutiny of all of her output. How much pressure would she be feeling with her current FENTY fashion house, for example? It is the first new fashion house under LVMH since the 80s, she is a WOC which always has extra pressure and scrutiny attached to it. That would be intense just by itself. Then she has a new album on the way with all of the work surrounding that. It is a lot.
I’m tired and overwhelmed. Any of you all out there tired and overwhelmed? I say let’s ALL take a break….
Literally thought the same thing. Good for her, vacation on a beach for two months, enjoy it. I am also exhausted.

For god sake. If the woman feels the need to take a break, she should be able to do that without people commenting on what she has or hasn’t done recently. Maybe she just needs some time for herself. She is allowed that even though she is in the public eye.
Yes, but I’d say most of us are envious and wish we had the resources to afford the luxury of taking months off for a break.
I understand where you’re coming from 100%. But even though most people aren’t afforded that luxury, she should be able to make this decision without people questioning her motives. Or in some cases give her shit cause it’s really none of our business. Just my opinion x
I believe she works very hard with her makeup line, lingerie line, and now the fashion house. I’m glad she is taking some time off so she doesn’t burn out.
