I’ve largely tapped out on covering all of the shenanigans around Johnny Depp and his lawsuit against Amber Heard, his ex-wife. He’s suing her because he claims that she lied about how he abused her. The thing is, I find his lawsuit to be further evidence of his abuse of Amber – he’s trying to punish her through the courts, he’s trying to stay in her life somehow. It’s gross. Anyway, about six months ago, we learned that Depp had a new, young girlfriend. Her name is Polina Glen, and she’s a 24-year-old Russian go-go dancer. They likely started dating in the early spring of this year, and yes, I found the whole thing shady – there were some rumors that Depp is in debt, and maybe Russian “financiers” are involved, and then he ends up dating some young Russian honey trap? It’s all very gross. Apparently, Polina has had enough though – she’s dumped Depp and “fled” back to Russia.
She’s the leggy Russian go-go dancer who found love with Johnny Depp despite being less than half his age. But now Polina Glen, 24, has ended her relationship with the 56-year-old Hollywood superstar and fled back to her homeland after finding the attention surrounding her ‘scary’, according to friends. It had been said that Depp and Ms Glen were even considering getting married after she moved into his mansion in Hollywood after just a few weeks. But now any thought of a wedding has been dismissed by Hollywood sources.
One close insider said: ‘Polina hated the attention the relationship was bringing her and found it scary. She’s now keeping her head down in Russia and told Johnny plans to get married were madness.’
The dancer reportedly told pals weeks into their relationship that Depp was desperate to meet her father Gennady and her veterinarian mother Irina – who is four years younger than him. The insider said: ‘Despite sneers that Polina was only with Johnny for his fame, she kept her head down while living with him, going to her dance choreography job and then back to his house. His level of celebrity and his ongoing battle with Amber grew too much for her. Johnny has been distracted by his feud with Amber and she didn’t think the time was right for them to commit to anything.’
Polina is thought to have spent the spring and part of the summer moving between Johnny’s Hollywood home and Russia but has now returned home ‘for the foreseeable future’, according to the source.
I feel sorry for this young woman and I hope she’s okay. Imagine how bad it was for her if her two choices were “stay in America, live in a mansion with a rich actor” OR “go-go-dance in Russia” and she f–king chose Russia. It would not surprise me at all if Polina got a good look at all of the crazy sh-t that’s around Depp these days – not to mention his Kanye-like break from reality – and she was like “you know what, no thanks, I’m out.” That’s honestly the best possible scenario here.

Considering the abuse Amber endured while with Depp who knows what this poor young woman was dealing with behind the scenes in that house everyday. The fact that she chose RUSSIA speaks volumes. I hope she is okay and safe.
What’s with all the condescension toward Russia? For all we know she has a good home, friends, a family, a safety net, and uh, I dunno, her OWN LIFE over there? Why would it ‘speak volumes’ if one chooses Russia over the US?
Where did I say anything disparaging about her family?? She nat well have a great family and no where does my comment dispute this. Russia is incredibly oppressive and there is a LOT of shit that goes on there that doesn’t get talked about. If you are unaware of this then I highly suggest reading up on it.
Cherry: because they put trump in the WH? that’s enough for me to disparage Russia, but they’re perpetrating a whole helluva lot more atrocities than that, inside their own country & out.
Are you aware how they imprison people in Russia over speaking out against the government or for being LGBTQ? Have you heard about their work camps? Not to mention their corruption that is rampant and even impacted the US 2016 election. Russia is not exactly Greece.
@Andrea , Are you aware that they imprison and summarily kill people in the US for being black? Are you aware of the level of corruption and lobbying in the US that people are dying from it (Big pharma, housing,etc.). USA is not exactly a democratic country.
eh, technically…WE (US) put the hateful T in the Whitehouse. We gotta own it, painful as it is. We really can’t, at this point, condescend to anyone choosing their own country over this one. (For example re LGBTQIA, police detectives in TN preach in favor of rounding “them” up and having “them” gov’t executed- and get suspended for a bit with pay. Not fired. Just an example, not that America needs to supply any more..)
My other point being, Cherry may well be familiar with the country and doesn’t need our “educating” on the matter.
Depp fans are still claiming Amber is lying.
He paid almost 10,000 for damaging a NYC hotel room in 1994 not sure if Kate Moss was battered also, since she was staying with him.
@Peg: There is CCTV video proof, TV show appearances proof and dozens of witnesses, including the 2 police officers who responded to the 911 call the evening of the alleged phone throwing incident, who’s testimonies contradict Amber’s stories. I obviously have no more idea than you if he was ever abusive to her, but she absolutely did lie about, at the very least, a couple of the incidences. Her own stylist testified that she had no injuries on her face the day after an incident she claimed happened, during which she received 2 black eyes and an almost broken nose. The video of the Corben show that she was being styled for that day would appear to support what the stylist said.
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out in Feb. And then afterwards… because perjury is a felony.
Bonita TW ( Domestic Abuse)
I work in a trauma centre with victims of domestic abuse. Often some really substantial bruising does not appear immediately. Very often women who have lost their lives through strangulation had this missed due to how bruises form for instance. Again women who had been strangled to the point of losing consciousness and having involuntary urination often don’t have evidence of the extent of the force or damage done to them on day 0 1 or 2. We photograph victims over time as their bruises bloom to evidence in court.
The only people I have seen going on about there being “proof” that Amber is lying are MRA trolls on sketchy websites. I’ve looked at what they claim as proof, and it is all weak and unconvincing. What is convincing is his own behavior towards her, in public, in Rolling Stone interviews, in the video of him in his own house. He’s made his own reputation.

It depends where in Russia she lives. If it’s big cities like Moscow or St.Petersburg then sure thing she chose her life there over US. Those places are pretty peachy and she probably also has her family and already established life there. And also those places are Depp-drama free. You go girl!

I would be terrified to get on an elevator alone with that guy. Even if I didn’t know anything about his sketchy past with women–and it’s been sketchy since the 1990’s–he looks and acts and speaks like a very unstable person. I have no idea why he still has work. I really don’t. Everything about him radiates volatility and violence.
I wouldn’t get on an elevator with that guy, and I don’t get that vibe off of many people, either in person or otherwise.
