Prince Andrew made racist jokes about Arabs at a state dinner, how surprising

Duke of York Pitch@Palace event

It’s not enough that Prince Andrew revealed himself – WILLINGLY – to be a complete and utter buffoon in his catastrophic BBC interview. It’s not enough that he came across as a sh-tty liar whose story made no sense. It’s not enough that his contradictory story made it clear that he raped a trafficked teenage girl and likely participated in other abuses with girls trafficked to him by Jeffrey Epstein. It’s not enough that he came across as smug, entitled, disgusting and moronic. Now the floodgates are open and everyone is spilling the tea about how Andrew has always been the worst. Yesterday, a political-type came forward and said that he heard Andrew use the n-word in casual conversation. Now another political figure has come forward to say that yes, Andrew also told racist “jokes” about Arabs.

Prince Andrew made racist jokes about Arabs during a state banquet for the Saudi Royal family, a former Home Secretary has claimed. Jacqui Smith, an ex-cabinet member, said the Duke of York made the ‘unbelievable’ comments while mingling with British politicians at Buckingham Palace. Mrs Smith did not reveal when the interaction took place, but the only state visit by the Saudi royal family to occur during her time as Home Secretary was in 2007, with a banquet taking place at the palace on October 30. Revealing the interaction to presenter Iain Dale on the LBC Election podcast, Mrs Smith claimed the prince was ‘at the worst end’ of the royal family.

She said: ‘I met him several times, including once at a state banquet, where after dinner my husband and I and another Labour cabinet minister had a drink with him. I have to say the conversation left us slack-jawed with the things he felt it appropriate to say. I almost feel I can’t say it; it was the state banquet for the Saudi royal family and he made racist comments about Arabs that were unbelievable. That he thought we might find these amusing was a terrible situation to be in.’

Mrs Smith said she felt ashamed for not challenging the prince on the comments, adding: ‘It was a state banquet, we were in Buckingham Palace, we were cabinet ministers, I feel ashamed that we didn’t but we didn’t.’ She also claimed the prince was ‘not very bright’, having met him several times in her role as a senior Labour minister. She added: ‘I don’t think he really understands the way in which you behave and in some ways that’s not surprising, because you’re pretty insulated in the royal family. But he’s at the worst end of the royal family, I think.’

In a statement to MailOnline, a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace said: ‘HRH has undertaken a considerable amount of work in the Middle East over a period of years and has many friends from the region. He does not tolerate racism in any form.’

[From The Daily Mail]

Reader, I laughed at that denial from the palace. It’s basically “But I have Arab friends!” And… I mean… they’ll formally deny accounts from actual political figures, but the palace won’t bother denying any of the f–king stories about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, huh? As for Prince I Don’t Sweat/My Fingers Are Fat/I Have Never Said Anything Racist, he clearly says racist sh-t all the time. As I said yesterday, that kind of racist sh-t is probably what he heard constantly from Prince Philip.

What disgusts me the most about all these stories is that everyone says they didn’t say anything to confront him. THAT’S WHY THEY THINK THEY CAN BEHAVE THE WAY THEY DO. It’s so gross.

  2. Cidy says:

At this point I’m just ugly laughing because its like… of course you did Pedo Andy, of course you did. Theres nothing you seemingly HAVE NOT done. Christ.

    Taxpayer funded a**holes.

All these stories are odd and make me slightly suspicious that it’s coming from in house (Charles camp)…not that I don’t believe the stories because Philip and many other royals (e.g. the broach incident) have already been caught saying or doing things of a similar nature.

The royal family is a mess and good for Harry and Meghan for getting the heck outta dodge.

    • Kebbie says:

You’d have a point if these stories were anonymously sourced, but they are people sharing their firsthand experiences with him. I think the timing is because the public tide clearly turned after his interview. Now it’s open season and people feel empowered to share how awful he is.

    • Mignionette says:

I agree the timing is interesting, but he had it coming and often the only time to take down vile people like Andy is when their hanger ons and enablers have deserted them.

Sadly this aint over. If nothing else Brits excel best at the pile on.

We excel at piling on too. This is just the way it works, and unfortunately it happens on the wrong side too like with the Sussexes. Once the media finds a story that has people reading commenting and making money, they just keep going with it. Sometimes getting crazier not true stories, cause it sells and fits the scenario. Sure this is probably true, but wait for it, there will be other stories which may not be true. Unless, Andrew’s a bit like Trump and there is just so many stories to cover you never need to embellish. Conversely it works in the negative too for the Sussexes cause their false stories sell too. This story will have holiday legs so they can have a great probably not as bothered holiday, cause his Uncle is a media idiot, among other things.

ugh why do we support this vile family????? They must have such a laugh at us peasants… in their literal palaces, with all their luxuries bought and paid for by the people they have no respect for.

    The Queen’s favorite.

  7. spikeslayer says:

you missed out the “?” at the end of ‘how surprising’ , as well as an obligatory eyeroll.

  8. WatchingATrainwreak says:

At least we know which royal will be attending the Queen’s Tea for the Trump’s. Racist, misogynist, & friends of Jeffrey Epstein. Two smug and out-of-touch assholes who have both been accused of raping JE’s victims…they can commiserate with each other about the public’s lack of acceptance of over a cup of tea!

    I’m exhausted with his sh!+…

He sure loves their money though. I bet he’s involved with equally shady things with those Gulf oil elites. He keeps flying over there like how many times every year? What does he do there? Enty reports that he’s worried about pedo proof an Arab might have on him, so I don’t know what this story is. Maybe trying to make it look like he’s got nothing to do with them?

  11. S808 says:

I don’t appreciate these stories just now coming out. He should’ve been shamed for this and everything else when it happened.

  12. morrigan01 says:

You know how it’s been said that Rupert Murdoch has a bunch of dirt on the Royal Family that he’s just waiting for the Queen to pass before he unloads? Well, maybe he’s decided to just unload everything he’s got on Andrew right now. There’s no coming back from that disaster of an interview, so hell, why bother sitting on all the Andrew stuff you’ve collected over the years anymore?

I’ll be surprised if there aren’t even more stories like this coming over the next few days. Might as well just dump all the info you’ve got on him at this point.

    • Jane'sWastedTalent says:

Hopefully Murdoch dies first. I’m sorry, as terrible as Andrew is- but Murdoch already has too much influence on governments and his end game is far more nefarious.

  13. Flying Fish says:

It is time for these people to go, the whole lot of them…

  14. Le4Frimaire says:

They’re all terrible in their cosseted bubble. Prince Philip was horrible and tone deaf, and Edward VIII, with his Nazi ties , said horrible things as well, such as how he described the Maltese. They all have their heads so far up their own you know what. Imagine what they say behind Meghan’s back. They are absolutely shameless. They’re like the dumbest, most ignorant frat boy preppies, but magnified on aristocratic steroids and centuries of colonial oppression.

  15. Alyse says:

I’ve been following this whole debacle too intensely it seems…
had a v intense dream last night that MI5 was chasing me down because I had concrete proof on Andy/Epstein stuff lol!

  16. Here In My Jammies says:

The blinds have Meghan going unsupported because she doesn’t play ball with the royal family.
