Jon Gosselin visited some sick kids in the hospital on Tuesday and had to run out and tell the tabloids about it as soon as possible. He obviously has a contact at US Weekly who is willing to print his side of the story without naming him. They report in their online edition that Jon denies ever having Star reporter Kate Major over to his house or to a hotel, but notice that he doesn’t deny sleeping with her, just clarifies the venues they used. He also stupidly admits that he was about to break up with Hailey Glassman for Kate, but then changed his mind.

Jon Gosselin — from baddie to good daddy?

On Tuesday, he paid a three-hour visit to cancer-stricken children at Morgan Stantley Children’s Hospital in NYC, Usmagazine.com has confirmed.

“Jon is trying to get involved with more kids charities,” a source tells Us. “He is very into kids and being a dad is very sympathetic to the plight of less fortunate children.”

The source also slams former tabloid reporter Kate Major, who tells the new Life & Style that Gosselin used to sneak her into his $1.1 million home in Wernersville, Pa., while his kids were sleeping.

Says the source, “He has never been to a hotel with her and has NEVER brought her into his house or around his kids and would never ever do that. And he never planned a trip to Vegas with her. He left her a message [earlier this summer] when he was going to break up with Hailey [Glassman] and [sic] never to speak to him again and that’s the last he’s heard from her. She was a mistake.”

So it’s like he’s half admitting that he was with her, but says that “she was a mistake.” What a fool this guy is to even talk to the celebrity magazines on his own behalf. Even Michael Lohan would have done a better job. He’s such an idiot. He’s all “I never brought her to a hotel or to my house, and I was about to break up with the other one for her, but then I changed my mind and dumped her instead.” How is that defending himself against charges he was with Kate Major? Is it somehow ok because he didn’t bring her home and eventually dumped her anyway?

The NY Daily News has the details of Kate Major’s allegations, which are set to be published in Life & Style. She calls Jon a “dirtbag” who “screwed her over” and says she had sex with him at his house and at a hotel – that he made her pay for. They had plans to go to Vegas together but he brought Hailey instead. So that was why he was so adamant that they didn’t do it at a hotel or his house – just Michael Lohan’s place:

Kate 2.0, one of a bevy of young women Gosselin’s been seen with since announcing his divorce from Kate Gosselin, sounded off on him in Life & Style magazine.

“Jon said he couldn’t be seen having a girlfriend, so he told me to drive to a neighbor’s house after midnight, when the kids were asleep,” Major told the mag. “He said he’d pick me up on his four-wheeler, take me to his house and drop me off again at 6 a.m.

“I was shocked and said, ‘No, I don’t feel right doing that. What if the kids wake up?’ He was like, ‘They’re not going to notice, they’re not going to see anything.’ He wasn’t nervous about it — I was.”

Despite her hesitance, Major didn’t seem to have much of a problem cavorting with the father of eight.

“He was a great kisser,” she said. “It was amazing. I said, ‘I’ve never felt like this about anybody else in my life,’ and he said, ‘Me too.'”

Major, who left her job at Star magazine after falling for Gosselin while working on a story about him, also discussed his relationship with Hailey Glassman.

The 22-year-old daughter of Kate Gosselin’s plastic surgeon, Glassman seems to be back on with Gosselin since he got sidetracked with Major.

“Jon never wanted to use his credit card — he was worried that he’d get caught or spotted. On July 20, we went to a hotel in New Jersey,” Major said. “I paid for the room, and he snuck up a back way. That was the first time we slept together. He said he was falling in love with me. He said, ‘I thought Hailey was perfect until I met you.'”

Major added, “Even when we were in the Hamptons, we were planning to go to L.A. together to meet with Christian Audigier about Ed Hardy stuff. We also talked about going to Las Vegas. Now he’s taking Hailey — and that was a trip we had planned together.”

According to the 26-year-old bottle blonde, Gosselin told her at one point he was going to Massachusetts to break up with Glassman.

But when he left her side on June 23, the octodad shut his phone off. When he finally called Major back, he said he needed to be single.

“Looking back, it was all pretty much sexual,” she said. “That’s what he had in mind. I’m deeply upset by the turn of events. He totally screwed me over and acted like a dirtbag.”

The biggest slap of all – Gosselin finally got rid of her with a text message reading, “Do not contact me again.”

I wonder if the Life and Style story means Kate is persona non grata with Star now.

Meanwhile the print edition of US [via MSNBC] is still pushing Jon’s insistence that Kate is having an affair with her bodyguard. The only evidence they give is that that two checked into different rooms at the same hotel and ate breakfast together. Kate told Meredith Viera that she’s good friends with the bodyguard and his wife and categorically denied having an affair. She even mentioned having lunch with the bodyguard’s wife in Maryland. If she had breakfast with the guy it was probably because he was guarding her at the time. What should she do – make him sit at another table like the help?

There’s some maybe-positive news among all the stories about the Gosselins that make you want to smack your head repeatedly. TMZ reports that Jon won’t be participating in that “Divorced Dad’s Club” reality show with Michael Lohan and that “A rep from [production company] Endemol tells us Jon came to them but it was established he couldn’t do the show because of his commitment to TLC and “Jon & Kate Plus 8.” Endemol says the show is still a go despite Jon’s absence.” Maybe Jon will be cut from Jon & Kate, but legally prevented from doing anything else on the side. He’s only good for giving self-incriminating comments to whoever will pay him for it. That’s got to dry up once he’s off the show. Let’s see him try to make money on his own and without a reality show.
