We’ve all suspected that Jude Law’s baby-mama Samantha Burke was using her tenuous connection to Jude to launch her own modeling-acting career. Why would she hold a press conference to ask for her privacy? Why would she set up a blog to document her pregnancy and encourage people to hire her for work? Why would she take bikini-clad pictures of her pregnant self and send them out (allegedly)? Now it seems that even Samantha’s friends think she’s something of a famewhore. A source told E! News that Jude “didn’t even remember” Samantha and their week of sex, and that they consider it “crazy” for Samantha to go through with the pregnancy:
It’s hard being a young twentysomething lady who loves famous people. If everyone isn’t calling you a fame whore, then you’re just trying to get whatever famous person responsible for knocking you up to remember you.
Ugh, it’ll be OK; just take underwear pictures and post them online. And if that doesn’t work, have a close friend do the talking for you. This is how the story of Jude Law’s baby mama Samantha Burke is going, anyway.
A close friend of Samantha’s steps up and tells E! exclusive details of the brief relationship between the Sherlock Holmes actor and the aspiring model. It all started once upon a time in a club: “She met him at a club in New York,” says the friend. “He was sick, so she kept going to his hotel over the course of a week to take care of him.”
And then poor, sick Jude didn’t remember her after she did everything she could (even a steady dose of sex, obvi) to nurse him back to health: “Jude didn’t even remember her. She hasn’t seen him since New York. They’ve only been in contact through their lawyers.”
Now, this friend thinks Samantha is “crazy” for going through with the pregnancy, so one has to question her financial motivations. Good thing the seven-months-pregnant mom-to-be already cleared that up in a recent blog post: “I can’t tell you how far from a gold-digger I am. I’ve never dated a rich man in my life. I’ve always wondered how girl friends of mine could even ask their boyfriends to buy them clothes.”
Still, her friend had to point out that Samantha comes from “a very white trashy town” in Pensacola, Fla., and “her family doesn’t have any money.” Just in case that means anything?

I completely believe that Jude probably had a hard time remembering her. From what I assume about Jude’s love life (the romancing of nannies, waitresses, Sienna Miller, et cetera), I don’t really think Jude is that choosey. I’ve said it before, but Jude does seem to have a very self-destructive streak - but at least he tries to make it right, to a certain extent. I kind of feel for him. Wait… no I don’t. He should have “remembered” to wear a condom.

Remember: It is HER friend that said Law didn’t even remember having sex with her, it wasn’t Law blabbing about it. He more than likely said he didn’t remember her to the ATTORNEY’s, not to the press.

I don’t think she’s “crazy” for deciding to keep her child after learning she’s pregnant (as her “friend” suggests). Her actions of giving a press conference requesting “privacy” and then right after that forming her own website to promote her “pregnancy” makes her come off as an “opportunist” (read “fame seeker by association”).
Had she been a 20 something knocked up with a no name person’s child, she probably would have aborted.

I know what happened.
He was sick and she did go to visit him at his hotel (after she stole his hotel key)
She entered his room he was still sick and threw up on her so she had to take a shower, send her clothes out to be cleaned.
She in the hotel bathrobe went to check on Jude (he was naked in bed, he had the cold sweats)
She got into bed to warm him up (of course) and looked into his glazed eyes and knew that he wanted her and could not say no.
So for the next week she took “care” of him until he checked out with telling her and leaving any contact info for her to call him (not even a cell#).
So thats how it went down, a close friend of a close friend of a close friend told me.

Why did it take 7 months for her to tell him?(in the information age) Why did her friend say she was crazy to go through with having a baby if there weren’t any questionable reason behind this. Also Jude Law has not said one bad thing about this woman yet most of the poster has on this board has said ugly things about him even though he has said he would take responsiblity for his action. @Erica - You ask some valid questions but remember this is a gossip website so most of us will gossip like mad as we imagine what went down between Baby Mama and Jude when they first met.
What does it matter why it took so many months to find him? Perhaps her lawyers got in contact with him much earlier but DNA tests take weeks or months before the results are in. Regardless of whether or not he attempted to use a condom, clearly nobody followed instructions because this chick-a-doodle is pregnant! Another poster made a very valid point. If she got pregnant with some no-name schmuck, she would have ran (not walked) to the nearest abortion clinic or got herself a morning after pill STAT!

What comments! A bunch of nobodies making vicious comments based on what another nobody has said, and nobody knows if any of it is for real.
Some friend you’ve got there, Samantha. If indeed there actually was a “friend” and not just someone sitting next to the writer’s chair saying what they think might have happened, because “friend” in a gossip writeup is usually code word for “fiction.”
If it was one of Samantha’s so-called “friends” mouthing off, she needs to quit talking to her “friends” because she and her child are going to turn into an even bigger joke and nobody is ever going to take her seriously. Take care, Samantha, and don’t trust people so much, especially when they think they have a chance at some notoriety just by knowing something about you.
Despite some of the idiotic comments above, Jude hasn’t said ANYTHING about this matter other than his initial statement. He’s treating it exactly like the private matter that it is and going on with his life like he should, and not giving them anything else. Entertainment news and gossip sites can’t handle that, though, so they have to rely on their own devices to conjure up whatever drama they can to sell their shit.
And news flash (again)…pregnancy happens with condoms. People should be educated on this because if that’s all they’re trusting in 100%, it can result in quite a surprise. To assume that condoms are a miracle birth control is naive, and assuming that pregnancy happened due to lack of is naive and irresponsible thinking as well. I read last week that Samantha stated that a condom was used.
But yeah, it’s much more fun to just spout nasty, vicious stuff, isn’t it? I sometimes wonder if people just come to the net to take their personal frustrations out on others who don’t really deserve the kind of beating they get.

Sadly, Kim, that probably won’t apply to a main post, where action like this needs to start, like Eonline did with this one, where they can write up and post any old garbage they want as long as they say it came from a “friend” or a “source,” and it still spreads like wildfire through the internet, even being regurgitated here, of course, and nevermind if there’s the least shred of truth to it…it’s quite unfair. But people enjoy wallowing in *what they perceive to be* famous people’s “wrongs,” never mind that it’s a person with a family who has so many other things going on in their life besides this made-up nonsense, who has problems that are little different from everyone else, who the little minds enjoy tearing down because it gives them a sense of smug satisfaction. Guarantee you, though, they could tell me something about their life, and I could turn it into something defamatory in a matter of minutes and make them sound just as “messed up” as any celeb they enjoy bashing.
Jude is well known to be a wonderful father, a good friend with is ex-wife as they seem to be doing an excellent job of raising their children together, doesn’t badmouth people, isn’t sleeping with anyone’s wife (or husband *wink*), is doing a great Hamlet in London and on Broadway starting next month, doesn’t cuss out set people in 5-minute tirades, isn’t in and out of rehab, but yeah, has S-E-X like millions of other single people in the world. The fact that Samantha is pregnant is between her and Jude, regardless of how it happened, but you would think by the way some people react (some, not all) that they’ve been assigned the task of raising this child or something. Jude and Samantha will figure this out (yes, with the help of attorneys, because that’s the best way to reach agreement in these matters, even with divorce…just ask Judge Judy). Tabs get “stories” all the time from so-called “friends” and “sources,” which is why they have Brangelina breaking up on a weekly basis, Aniston pining for Pitt, etc.
My satisfaction is knowing that even the smug minds have their day. Nobody knows what tomorrow holds, and my grandpa always said “everybody gets a turn.”

Jude looks like a madman in that top picture. I also suspect that Jude doesn’t remember Samantha, not because she was unmemorable, per se, but because his life is so filled with Samanthas who don’t get pregnant that they’re all just a blur to him. I don’t see why he doesn’t get tired of his promiscuity, though. How interesting can it be to sleep with scores of people casually? It’s a serious question. I’d think it would be more anxiety-producing than pleasurable after awhile.

Isn’t it a little silly of all the self-appointed watchdogs of Jude Law’s reputation to go on a gossip site and tell everyone to stop gossiping about him? It’s like a temperance worker spouting the cause in a rowdy bar: you’re sure not to change anyone’s mind or make any friends. Also, movie stars love to be talked about, whether it be for positive or negative reasons. It’s all part of the fame game and keeps their names on the public’s lips. And I’m sure Mr. Law himself wouldn’t feel the need to stop the loose talk about his loose morals, or he’d have his publicist make a snotty statement for everyone to MYOB (or have his publicists already done so on Celebitchy?)

Noone but Jude and Samatha knows if the used a condom or not so I find the discussion rather futile.
Their behaviour is a different matter however. I think Samantha is almost painfully tacky and trashy too. She wanted privacy, didn’t she? Yet we have now had a press conference, near-naked belly-pictures and now a blog? How exactly does she define ‘private’??
Meanwhile Jude has said nothing to the press other than the initial press release. He, at least, seems to handle this more classy than her. Poor man.

I have 2 friends who got pregnant and their partners both used condoms according to them. I was not there myself.
And why the hate? Jude is single. I don;t think he forced her to have sex with him nor is he underage, is she?
He is not denying the child is not his nor denying child support which is much more than a lot of fathers who were even married to their partners do. Surprise!I think this is a private matter between the two of them. As far as I know, Jude has not said anything about the matter except acknowleding the child is his and that he will support her.
Now, these “friends” come out of the woodwork and suddenly, everything they say is gospel truth.

Samantha wouldn’t abort or cut contact with Jude. By tapping her without any protection he has now given her the opportunity to “slot in”. He is an A-List celeb which means that she can have some of the status even if it’s critisizm and she can nail him for as much money as she pleases. She calls the shots now that she’s having Jude’s baby. She will use and abuse any system that she wants because …..it’s Jude’s Baby dammit!
